@keeleydoll posted this on the other thread and I didn't want it to get missed:

I hadn’t seen this article yet and it emphasizes that this is truly an unprecedented cave dive rescue.

Florida divers weigh in on Thai soccer team cave rescue

“Muller, an expert cave diver who helps map and protect Florida’s underwater caverns, says the task facing rescue divers in Thailand is unprecedented....

Muller estimates only about 300 cave divers in the world are skilled enough to reach the boys and maybe 10 that have the ability to rescue them under those circumstances, some of who are on the scene.

Noooo! I was so hoping at least the pumps would keep it at the level it was at for the 4 boys.

I hope their speculation is wrong lol
It's just speculation for now. He said most likely and was being pessimistic. He doesn't know if it has yet.

I thought that most of the water pooling in the caverns was coming from seepage through the mountain and tiny eroded inflow chimneys, not so much that was past the 2nd or 3rd chamber was coming immediately from outside rains and a lot of that has been somewhat curved by the barriers they’ve built. I could absolutely be wrong, but if this is the case then they have several more hours before current rainfall really has a big impact on the conditions in the caverns.

Musk is working this for all its worth...to him. He is getting on my pip.

Actually, I think his work is important to a lot of people. He's building a tube high-speed transportation system which would connect Chicago to O'Hare Airport in minutes. If he's willing to invest his company's time and resources into rescuing these boys, I say "Bravo!!" Contributing to human kind is what companies are supposed to do.

The dam which they built should make a great difference, diverting water from the cavern chambers.

July 5 "Thai officials are working with engineering experts to build a stone dam at a stream located south of Tham Luang Nang Non to divert the flow of water into the vast cave complex."

Monsoon could damper rescue efforts to save soccer team in cave

From the video posted by Gardenista:

“ I don’t have the ability to get to the kids directly, but what I can do is to wash these clothes”; “I lead the Muslim female cave rescue volunteers”
:(

They are all heroes.

The lead guy is now saying things may pick up in 10 -20 hours

i dont think they are gonna put one person back in with it raining

todays actions imo happened cause they knew rain was coming again

i think this has been pretty close to hurricane monitoring

with all the talent there I do find it hard to believe that a second go team was not or could not be ready to roll

at the same time what are they gonna say publically -- the above? Pretty harsh stuff

gotta rest goes down easier for the world

THey knew rain was coming and have to see to the best of their ability what the rainfall numbers are in real time to determine what they are gonna do the day after tomm

I hope that Reuters livestream changes up the scenery. I'd much rather watch them by the cave verses watching these cars going back and forth. I think it's making my anxiety worse. Time for that drink.

Thai cave rescue to resume with eight boys and coach still trapped – latest news

After weeks of uncertainty and anxiety, Thailand’s English language newspapers were finally able to carry some good news on their front pages.

The Bangkok Post led with “For boys out safely” and had an infographic showing how the boys were escorted from the cave by buddy divers.

The Nation’s headline was “Boys emerge from cave”.

According to the previous medical aid plan, the footballers would be kept in the hospital’s well-equipped sterile isolation room for one to two days after being brought out before their parents and relatives could see and visit them.

Hospital fully prepared to receive rescued youths - The Nation

They have to test them for bacteria that can be passed around before they reunite with their families.

So much for the DM reporting.....yellow journalism, at best. But I read it every day. LOL
