10am/11am local time means it's been going on for 4/5 hours now (it's 3pm there now). We should be hearing something soon I'd think... (if 1 or 2 hours qualifies as soon).

I've been counting on them having procured a better pumping system recently.... I don't know if they have, but?
Plus maybe more shoring-up and diverting, etc.. etc...
All those people doing all that work are heros, too!

Coach's aunt: He just wants to "help others"

Amporn Sriwichai, the aunt of 25-year-old coach Akkapol Chanthawong, says she wants people to understand that he is a good person, and did not mean for the boys to become trapped. She tells CNN that he was orphaned at the age of 10 and has experienced "many difficulties."

He wants nothing more than to give back and help others, she says.
wrote a letter to his aunt and grandmother, who raised him.

To my aunt and grandmother,I'm OK, don't worry about me too much. Take care of your health. Aunt, please tell grandmother to make a vegetable drink and crispy pork when I get out. I will go and eat it. Love to everybody.
He also wrote to the parents of the boys with him, begging them for forgiveness. In response, they wrote back:

We believe in you and your spirit that you've been taking a good care of our kids. We just want you to know that this is not your fault.

I know he made a very terrible decision; an astoundingly monumental mistake -- but I love Coach, too.

(Just a thought, as I mentioned earlier, I imagine it was quite “hard” (sorry for the lack of a better term)..for the kids to watch their coach deteriorate.

'A source' of these reporters raised concerns about raised water levels due to the rains yesterday, which would make the operation more difficult.

They do not identify the source further though so we don't know too much more really. Could be just the concern we've all had from our homes, or could be from a real insider who was in the cave.

I feel so much for their young coach. At his age he only sees adventure and opportunity. Despite his incredible personal losses he tries to put the best of humanity into these boys : resilience, adventure, endurance. With all the support he can give. I think he's a true hero who sadly made a mistake. I would give him a medal if I could and am so thankful for brave people who speak braveness, love and resiliance into my own childrens lives. God bless you fully Ek and if I had the opportunity to meet you in person I would be glad to say it to your face.
