Can someone please send a message to the military politicians that
we want a foreign doctor to give a brief report on the boys' conditions. I won't accept the word of these guys, the Prime Minister or govenor have been a little lax with honesty here.

Oh gosh, I think such a request might unnecessarily cross a sovereignty and privacy boundary. It really doesn't matter what the "report" is, as long as the boys are cared for, and I believe that the boys will be cared for. After all, the whole world is watching.

I'll bet these young men were sedated for the journey. It only makes sense.

I think the Thai government and rescue squads have done a phenomenal job. I am not Thai so I am not sure why they made some of the decisions (reported that families don't know which kids have been rescued) they had or if the media blackout is to spare families. But, in any event, they have done a wonderful job getting this operation underway and, so far, rescuing 8 of the 13. The medical care seems well thought out. I have no idea if they medicated the young men and at this point it doesn't matter to me anyway.

I think there are few things harder than what the divers are doing, especially Richard Stanton, John Volanthen and any other divers that are doing the 8 hour dive with the boys. I just can't imagine. Your life is on the line, plus the other divers AND children's lives. I know they're professionals and are trained and calm is in their nature but WOW.

One interesting thing, Narongsak Osotthanakorn said all boys we’re conscious today, implying at least one of the boys rescued yesterday were not. #ThaiCaveRescue #Thailand

One of the children rescued yesterday was an asthmatic. I would imagine that there were medical decisions made to ensure that he could breathe and that he didn't panic. I think this may be why we won't hear too much about medicating or how the kids were extracted--to give them privacy, protect their medical information, and to allow the kids to be afraid/worried/terrified/hysterical without having their state of mind broadcast to the world. We know how cruel peers and people can be.

Maybe they can do five as the coach is an adult and can be trusted to be more calm?

I don’t know how the boys could be medicated. I imagine they need their full faculties to breathe and move .

I hope not as well. He could be blaming himself to the point of taking his own life. Maybe they have a special plan for taking 5 out. They know what they're doing. The best in the world is having restful sleep right now, in preparation for tomorrows rescue :D

This has been my hope too. I have to keep this in my mind. Maybe he has gotten stronger over the days with food and water and they feel he may not need as much help. But idk. Hope.

I wonder if coach knows about Saman, I imagine that even if all the kids get out ok the news that a diver died will be really distressing for him.

He is a strong minded man. He probably doesn't need one of the divers to hold him as they have the younger young men. He knows how to stay calm. I expect it will only take 1 diver with him instead of 2. I believe all 5 will come out tomorrow.

I am thinking the coach might still be friend with a monk mentor, talking to him/the would be very healing, He lived with them for ten years, I consider that family like.

My guess is that the info the kids and coach are receiving is positive, hopeful, enthusiastic and calm. It has to be this way for them and for the divers. Stress right now can't happen. It just can't. (added) Stress = death right now.

Even if it occurred to them to ask if anyone has been hurt or died during rescuing them, they would straight up lie to them. It is that important that they remain calm. They probably even say that the rescue and dive is easy and that there is absolutely nothing to worry about! It is best this way.

Is hugging ok in Thailand? Sorry if that may seem ignorant but I know some customs people aren’t so touchy feely.

Imagine the loved ones when they gets to hug their boys and coach? Oh my goodness. I wouldn’t be able to let go of my boy. Warms my heart when everyone is reunited. ❤️

I am in absolute awe of these divers. Nothing short of amazing.

World Cup invitation

The offer reportedly still stands for the boys to attend the World Cup final in Russia after Fifa president Gianni Infantino invited them on Friday. In a letter to the Thai Football Association, Infantino offered "deepest sympathies and support" for the young team, adding that if they were rescued in time and were healthy enough to travel, it would "undoubtedly be a wonderful moment of communion and celebration" for them to enjoy.

My internet went out for a couple of hours. Are the boys rescued this morning in good health?

Dear DyannaON,

Thank you for the beautiful visual. I can only begin to imagine the magnificence of the feeling.

Namaste,

I bet he is and that is lovely to think about. The coach probably has also been distracted from his own thoughts with caring and keeping the boys. I know I do this as a mom of two a lot. I can't imagine having 12 to think about in this situation. I know I'd put my own stress on the back burner- out of necessity, survival and for sanity + he has the background of meditating and as a monk.
