The offer reportedly still stands for the boys to attend the World Cup final in Russia after Fifa president Gianni Infantino invited them on Friday.In a letter to the Thai Football Association, Infantino offered "deepest sympathies and support" for the young team, adding that if they were rescued in time and were healthy enough to travel, it would "undoubtedly be a wonderful moment of communion and celebration" for them to enjoy.

I share your thinking on this. Their connection will be very strong and the coach will be able to draw healing from this monk.

Isn’t there a milder medicine than Versed (spelling?) to give the boys? For example, in an adult, there are several meds to give for anxiety or panic attacks.

I feel certain the doctor has several options at his disposal should a boy panic and not be able to put the mask on or go under water. JMO.

I’ve been thinking since we found out details about the coach, that the monastery would be the ideal place for him to heal from this very traumatic experience.

I have been thinking about what it was like when they were all in that dark spot for days and then heard noises from the 1st scuba diver coming out of the water. As much as they probably thought it was a rescuer I bet a lot of them were terrified thinking it was an alligator or sea monster coming to get them. It must have been terrifying and then changing to joy and excitement.

I've been trying to work out a scene in my mind of the boys in the cave hearing the sounds in the water...

Listen! I can hear something.
Another rooster crowing?
No, it's in the water!
Ohh, a swimming rooster!
No, really!
I hear something too, turn the torch on!
Yes! There is something in the water!
Oh shut up. It's probably just another rat.

i really dont think anyone can be given anything they have no idea about individual reactions allergies dosing with dehydration and body mass loss disorientation just to sensations related to being suspended in water, in total darkness shifting currents the cold dizziness fear language differences learning and focus feeling sensations ( like a wall or something) nausea weakening of already apartheid muscles being kids tolerances no medical history potential for muscle cramping hyperthermia etc etc

Rescue worker at cave says boys emerged wearing multiple wetsuits meant to keep them warm

Danish cave diver Ivan Karadzic, who is stationed at "Camp 6" to assist the rescue divers, tells CNN that the divers believe today's operation was "even more smoothly executed than yesterday," which may be a result of less water being in the cave system.

He said that the boys were indeed wearing a full face mask as well as several wetsuits "to minimize heat loss.” This is because the water is very cold and they are “very skinny," he said.

The boys are attached to the divers with a small line called a "body line," which he says is "common to use in low visibility" in order "to minimize any kind of risk."

Yesterday, when he saw the kids in "Camp 6," he said they were “looking good considering the situation they were in."

“4 boys all conscious” is a poor translation into English. It means the 4 boys are awake and alert, not 4 boys were sedated and now awake.

Mission chief says 4 evacuees rescued today are in better conditions than the previous 4. So they rescued the sickest boys who could be saved out of the cave first. This is a triage standard taught by the World Health Organization.
