The hospital in Chiang Rai City will give an update in about an hour on the medical condition of the eight boys extracted out of the #ThamLuangCave over the past two days - five more are waiting to get out.

Last night, Gen Buncha Duriyaphan, an army commander involved in this rescue operation, said he had been asking the god of rain for three days’ reprieve to get the boys out.

They appear to have been granted two.

Rain has bucketed down on Mae Sai all night and continues to fall this morning in torrential quantities.

The extraordinary rescues of the past two days have been predicated on “perfect” conditions, including weather and water levels in the cave, authorities have said.

It is unclear if this downpour on Tuesday will complicate today’s mission. We are talking to sources at the cave site and hope to learn more soon.

DM is reporting that 4 is the best number for a rescue, so the coach may be left in the cave alone overnight. Wow.

I feel so sad for you that you are even considering this. That is not going to happen and I don't think anybody has ever said that was going to happen. Much hugs and don't worry!

There are individuals who are with them at all times, and everything we have heard so far is that he will come out with the last group. He will not be left alone overnight in a dark place with no one there. Don't worry please.

I just reread some articles. I guess 2 Dr's offered to stay should they need to remain several months.

Dr Jetsada: All 8 boys rescued from #ThamLuang recovering well this morning. Parents of 1st four survivors rescued have visited them through glass windows. They were vaccinated, given vitamin B1 and IV drip

Dr Jetsada on #ThamLuang survivors: 8 boys rescued are safe. They were long exposed to humidity in caves, exhausted by diving. No fever today. Psychological support given. They chatted, laughed with PM Prayut yesterday, to be in hospital for at least 1week

The second group rescued are 4 boys aged 12-14. One boy had very low temp & a slow heart rate slow. Now recovered to normal. All boys were said to fresh this morning and able to talk and respond #ThaiCaveRescue #thamlaungcave
