They may not be able to escape completely from the pressures of being modern young royals.

But by moving to the country, it seems the Duke and Duchess of Sussex intend to embrace the Good Life.

They are having an organic vegetable plot created in the gardens of their new home.

Keen cooks Harry and Meghan are to grow their own herbs, fruit and veg at Frogmore Cottage on the Queen’s Windsor estate, well-placed sources say.

I dropped the heading as it said Kate was a loser.

In the only five days since they launched their very own brand-spanking account, @Sussexroyal has surely become the world’s most watched Insta, passing the one million follower mark in world-record time. (If only 2015 Tig-era Meghan could see herself now — #Ladyboss #Proud.)

In the coming weeks, their account is only going to grow exponentially and there is a very good chance that we will see the first shots of Baby Sussex right there
Why Meghan’s new Instagram is bad news for Kate

As if they have the time to care. They have real lives

Agreed. I don’t think the Duchess of Cambridge is being kept awake at night worrying about whether or not the Duchess of Sussex will have more Instagram followers than her.

—Think this means baby is coming soon. Doria flew in a couple days before the wedding. Doesn’t stay long. She’s the mom of an independent daughter. Reminds me of my mom who I was very close with.

I also think she likes her California life... can’t say I blame her.

Hoping Meghan and Harry have a wonderful time as new parents. I’m sure they’ll have lots of visitors, too. The privacy at Frogmore sounds like an oasis, sounds nice.

I think the due date is close yet perhaps weeks away. I'm thinking Doria wants to spend some time visiting, then there is the baby shower and perhaps stay for a bit after the birth. Seems her Mom has a full life in Cali and yes why give that up. She can visit often.

This is much different than earlier reports that Doria would be moving in with Meghan and Harry with living quarters being prepared for her, and that the couple would not be hiring a traditional royal family nanny.

Yes. Tends to be why I don't believe a lot of the earlier reports. Doria, Meghan and Harry lead very different lives. With all of the Royal commitments and travel how much time would they really spend together. I would plan many visits based on schedules for quality time.

The alleged - or media-generated - rivalry between the Duchesses is so juvenile if not just plain silly. Kate is married to William who will one day be King, and she will be Queen. Their three (or more) children are next in line for the throne. Harry will not be King, Meghan will not be Queen, and their offspring will never ascend the throne. Kate is and has always been a class act - truly a gem in the royal constellation. She is as rare a jewel as the beloved Diana.

I personally think it is never a good idea to have your Mother-In-Law move in to help with the new baby. This couple have options that most couples don’t. I am sure Doria will be able to fly over whenever she wants and is able. It will be interesting to see what happens with other relations when the new baby arrives it has been very quiet recently.

I agree it is ridiculous and a media fantasy which unfortunately looks like a long term thing.

Most mums want to be close to their daughters giving birth and vice versa.

(mums not a typo = Aussie)

Yes, Doria has her own life and job. She has to support herself and prepare for retirement, so she's probably not in a position to give up her job to live with MM and Harry. She's not independently wealthy and it seems unlikely PC would put her on the payroll.

I totally agree with you I just think it is a bad idea 24/7 on a permanent basis. The Father can end up feeling pushed away and irritated by the constant presence of their Mother or Mother-In-Law and left feeling they can’t do anything right. It is very important both parents bond with the new baby and get into their own routine as soon as they can. Having a Mother-In-Law live with you can put a terrible strain on a relationship/marriage.

Absolutely greg. I doubt Megan will need help with the new baby as I'm sure there will be the best of the best there helping with everything.

I find it much too quiet. I get a strange feeling that they are strategically being quiet for a reason. As if they are laying low to build public interest and once the baby arrives they'll be all over the tabloids again saying nasty things about Meghan without any consideration for their granddaughter and niece or nephew.

When mothers and sisters live far they tend to stay anywhere from a few weeks to a few months with their relative after they have the baby. Positive family support has shown to decrease the likelihood of post-partum depression. Nothing like being able to take a nap during the day while your mom or sister looks after the baby :)

Meghan's only relative is her mother, so I don't see Doria staying for less than a week. This is a special time for the two of them. It will no longer be the two of them, it'll be the three of them.

I agree not long after the birth there will be the inevitable “They won’t let me see my Grandchild” story and the “How can she do this to our Father who may not have long left” story.

And yet, William has lived with his in-laws quite awhile, when Young George was born.

It is great how well Prince William gets on with his in-laws it is a rare blessing. I am sure he appreciates how discreet they have been never courting publicity given what his brother and his wife have endured. I am sure the Middletons will be a great influence on the royal Grandchildren.

Prince Harry's Staff Reportedly Thinks Meghan Markle Has Changed Him for the Worse

“All of Harry’s staff have always thought he was fantastic, but the two of them [together] are high maintenance,” Larcombe revealed, noting that Harry has become “quite grumpy and aloof from his own inner circle of staff. Harry was always very pally with [them], so this is very unlike him.”

“What people love about Harry is that he wears his heart on his sleeve,” Larcombe continued. “He’s down to earth, a normal guy trapped in the royal world, and he doesn’t take himself very seriously. But now he is.”

I found the only part of the article that enlightened buried in the last few seconds of the video:

Something tells us that the arrival of Baby Sussex may chill them out a bit. Only time will tell.

The rest of the article was criticism and this couple has had more than their share. And look at the hateful things that have been said about them. People need to back off; give them some space and time. And accept them for who they are today.
