We have tmobiole and i can move sim crds from phone to phone without contacting them...not sure on att but ithink so too...

As long as the Black jack had a "new" sim when she activated it, she would not need to contact the company to change the sim, however, I don't believe she used the sim from her "primary number" in the Black jack because if so the calls could be traced, I think she had a whole new # on the Black jack that is "missing" . This is just my own thoughts, certainly don't know but this girl, while she won't tell the truth if it slapped her in the head, she is by far not stupid..

T-Mobile and ATT have switchable SIM cards. You also can store phone numbers on the phone that are not on the card. My daughter used to work for Tmobile and my sister and son in law worked for a short time at ATT. They all have ATT and they have SIM cards. I have Verizon. I do not have a SIM Card. Hope this makes it more clear.

I have a question... Is a SIM card different than a MicroSD card? Until I got to the end of this thread I was assuming it was the same thing. Now I'm not so sure. If they are different, then maybe KC was referring to a MicroSD card as a SIM card? I use Sprint, and I have a MicroSD card in my phone to save numbers, pictures, etc. to. I also have the option of saving something to the phone's internal memory. If I put the MicroSD card in my sister's phone or anyone else's phone, the phone is still under the other persons number/service, but the info on the MicroSD card can be viewed through their phone.

They are different. The SIM card holds your account information and signals back to the phone company of who you are, if that makes sense. It can also store your phonebook.

Very HAPPY to see a thread about her "other cell ph" as I have felt for a long time that missing ph holds the key to the time Caylee "disappeared" There are soooo many things it could be , ex: prepaid, etc.. I (sorry just my opinion) think Caylee may be found in Jacksonville if she did in fact go there and the missing cell may be what she used for the trip so it couldn't be tracked.. HOPEFULLY, LE has determined / been able to track the missing cell # and get the info on it.. Sorry if already discussed, can't get on during work and don't have time to read the many, many post re: Caylee. I believe Casey had AT&T which does use sim cards but she may have gotten pay as u go.. (Work for major cell company so I know alittle bit, enough to be dangerous, lol!)

I'm near Jax. If you have any tips or ideas, let me know and I'll do what I can.

IIRC, Amy H. took JP C. to the mall 7/15 after Casey picked them up @ the airport. Amy dropped Casey @ Tony's apartment and went back to the airport to pick up Ricardo & JP (and perhaps the 4th person who has not been ID'd). Amy & JP were @ the mall when Cindy called Amy to find Casey...and then Casey's world began to crumble.

Maybe he was sleepwalking too.

i just got a blackjack...it's pretty great. that's what i would recommend.

That gives me some hope that LE has something more to go on than Casey's statement 7/15 IF there truly was another phone.

I know its WAAAAAY out on a limb, but, if the "huge issue" that Kio got terminated for @ Universal in April was ID theft, and she met up w/ Casey mid-April @ Wal-Mart, that could've put a fraudulent account in Casey's hands by early May in time to buy this blackjack...:waitasec:

Another poster noted what appeared to be a blackjack on the table in front of Casey in one of the Fusian pics in June. Couldn't be certain that it was hers, or certain that it was a blackjack, but, an interesting observation I thought that lends credibility to another phone existing.

IF the blackjack was purchased on fraud cc and billed there...well...at least its plausible.

Reading this portion of the transcript makes me think LA knew exactly what she did,. as far as 'work' goes. How would Casey have ditched a phone right under LE nose. If she ditched a phone prior to going to Universal with LE I do not see anything in this call between LA and Casey that would tell LA where that phone would be unless it to reasure LA that there was no way it could be found. JMO

I think the last two statements are the key here. She is trying to tell LA something without having to actually say it! What is exactly that he understands? IMO, I think she is talking about when she went there with LE.

In the jailhouse call to brother Lee he asked her where she got the phone. She told him she got it in a store on the west side acrossed from the mall. I hope that LE has checked out that store and pulled register tapes. would also be interesting to find out how she paid.

ETA: Tigger...the find on the date around when she could have purchased the phone could further narrow it down for LE if they checked out that store.. Not sure about this...but on the receipt wouldn't it have stock number and item number on the purchase?

thanks for taking the time to respond. i just didn't think it would make a difference if she said it was LE or not, because saying it might be lost in blanchard park would lead them there anyway no matter who she said she was with. i don't know.

this case has my head reeling!

A few thoughts/possibilities:
1) Did J.P. leave his phone at home, not wanting to take it on his trip, and KC used THAT phone. (another poster has already mentioned this possibility)
2) What phone did J.P. take on his trip?

I live in Florida and use Metro PCS. $40 a month, unlimited local and long distance. Very popular in Florida. I also have what many LE refer to as a "throw away". I bought a nice motorola phone at Walmart for $15. Then I bought a card for $30 with 200 min. on it. No, not a drug dealer, lol! My Metro PCS phone does not work in VA..a place I go often to visit my parents. So the "throw away" is great.

Okay..what is my point. Metro PCS. They are also a little lax on your needing ID. There are no phone bills or contracts. You pay by the month. One day late your phone is shut off. Only way to have a copy of phone records is to go to a Metro PCS store yourself and ask for a copy (I think it is about $30 a page...not cheap) OR for LE to go to a Metro PCS store and ask for them. So, just another thought. Could any of the "players" be using Metro PCS? Very likely as it is so popular here in FL.

According to the statement made by Amy, it was her that went with J.P. to the mall to get a new phone not KC. Amy had already dropped KC off at AL's house and AH went back to the airport to get RM and JP who were waiting for her. And Cindy even picked up Amy at the mall to ride with her to get KC from AL house.
