DAY 2 OF THE MEGAN BOSWELL TRIAL-Judge Jim Goodwin IS ALLOWING the defense to cross examine TBI Agent Brian Fraley about when he says Megan Boswell told him she knew Evelyn was dead AND the relevant portion of the clips will be played for the jury to see.

Court resumed at 8:30 a.m. Thursday with Goodwin’s decision to play portions of a police interview referenced by a witness Wednesday that led to a request by Boswell’s defense attorney Gene Scott. The jury is expected back at 9 a.m. News Channel 11 will continue to stream the trial on WJHL.com.

OK, another thought about the reluctant, material state witness, Austin Feller, Johnson City, TN.

We learned during opening statements on Weds that MB lied to the soldier, EP --that he was Evelyn's father.

I'm going to take a wild guess that AF may have been the father of baby Evelyn.

And this is just a hypothetical consideration, but I have a feeling that if AF had a daughter today, she might easily pass as Evelyn's sister. JMO...

Just watched the testimony of AF and he's a mystery. Says he never met MB in person (there goes my daddy theory) and worked for Tommy B. as caretaker of the mobile park in exchange for free rent. AF's testimony was quick and no cross by the defense (mainly confirmed the condition of MB's living conditions). Makes no sense why he would be a reluctant witness and/or ignore his subpoena, and refuse to make/keep contact with the prosecution. I'm not sure he was in a change of clothes from yesterday so possible he did not make bond. Perhaps he had an unrelated warrant outstanding and why he did not want to appear in court-- feared being served. Nonetheless, he was excused from his subpoena after his testimony so he's done on this case. JMO

Steven Lawrence, brother of Madison Broom (sp), friend of Megan’s. December 8, 2019 Megan visited him at apartments he was building. His sister had recently died. Evelyn wasn’t with her, said she was with EP.

Megan contacted him again after Evelyn was reported missing, seeking general help. Took her to sheriff’s office. Megan was staying with Steven’s mother at the time. It’s all a bit confusing, sorry.

Audrey Gibbs on the stand. She’s very emotional, crying.

Friends with Megan since 7th grade. She knew Evelyn, visited often, almost every day. Said she saw a little neglect such as waiting a long time between diaper changes, not buckling her into her car seat. Never babysat Evelyn.

Audrey moved to Knoxville in November 2019. In December she had a baby, Megan came to see her but without Evelyn. Megan’s behavior was a little odd. Asked where Evelyn was, can’t remember the answer other than she was with someone.

She kept asking for Evelyn to meet her daughter but always some excuse.

Texts between Audrey and Megan entered into evidence. January 19, 2020 asked about Evelyn and asked to bring her to see her daughter. Megan said she was with EP.

January 24, 25, 26 texts entered into evidence. Megan says she’s pregnant.

Last messages were after Evelyn’s disappearance went public. Megan never responded.

Bailey says MB said Ethan came back from leave and he was going to see Evelyn for the week. He ended up filing emergency custody and they were supposed to go to court.

Demeanor was "Matter of Fact" and she was not upset when she was telling her this.

MB claiming she is upset because she has to look at all of Evelyn's stuff but she's not there

She wants Bailey to spend the night with her. Bailey says Can't Hunter?
No I don't want to go into all that right now. I'm upset and don't want to be lovey dovey happy right now.

Bailey went to the Econo Lodge and stayed with MB that night.

No conversation, went to bed.
She didn't seem upset but tired and kind of out of it.
Did not seem worried or scared.

MB said she was going to hang out with Hunter that next morning when they parted ways.

Liar, liar, pants on fire. At least the jurors are seeing all the lies MB told LE/CPS to counter when she told LE Evelyn was dead and Hunter W took her away. (Dead with her eyes open but no tell-tale physical signs of asphyxiation).

And then claiming EP probably took Evelyn with him to his LA Army base is crazy -- as if this was somehow LE's fault! SMH

I can't believe what this woman has put her extended family and friends through. And shame on MB for trying to get her dad (Tommy) impeached as a witness over an incident involving MB's mother's (his then wife) paramour on TB's property. So sad... what parent raises their daughter to murder their 15 month child/granddaughter.

MB accused ex-boyfriend Hunter Wood of disposing deceased baby Evelyn but could not say where. Following the dismissal of Charge #18, the Court ruled a portion of LE's interview between MB and LE admitted into evidence, and played this for the jury today.

Following Evelyn reported missing and an Amber Alert Active, Hunter Wood talked to WJHL/11 on Feb 20, 2020. I trust TBI investigated HW's claims. To my knowledge, HW was never charged in the case of Evelyn missing or her ultimate death and disposal of her body.

Wow, long day. It certainly seems like Megan had some true friends who not only loved her but also loved Evelyn. IOW Megan had a support system in place and probably could have turned to any of them for help if she needed it. Even EP’s grandparents were eager to be in Evelyn’s life.

So what happened? Was this some sort of Susan Smith deal where Megan’s boyfriend told her he didn’t want to be saddled with another man’s kid?

Did Megan want to solidify her relationship with the boyfriend by having his baby and eradicating Evelyn from her life?

Regardless, it’s clear Megan has no deep feelings about what happened to Evelyn even as she’s quick to cry when it’s about herself!

Notice during Bailey’s testimony how long it took her to recover after breaking down? That’s a normal reaction - it takes time to calm down. Megan on the other hand was crocodile crying one minute and totally fine the next. Uh uh, that’s not how emotions work.

MB's absolute flat affect shown on video today with investigator and CPS dude from Feb 18th, 2020 was so wild.

Her question " Aren't you going to give an Amber Alert ?" was given with zero anxiety or concern. She might as well have been asking what day is garbage pick up?
