10 total witnesses were called on Thursday, and the jury saw several new pieces of evidence. Those included videos of interviews with Boswell conducted by authorities, messages sent by Boswell to other people and drone footage of her father’s property where Evelyn Boswell’s remains were found.

Boswell said in the interview that she was afraid to call anyone and did not want to know what Wood had done with Evelyn. She told Fraley then that Wood had left when it was near dark and returned when it was dark.

She suggested to police that they go search her father Tommy Boswell’s property, but she said she did not know where Evelyn would be there. While being interviewed, she claimed that she had wrapped Evelyn’s body in a blanket because she “didn’t want her to be cold.”

Through a series of text messages presented for the court, Hawkins describes several message exchanges with Boswell where she tells Hawkins Evelyn is in a variety of places including with Ethan Perry, with Ethan Perry's grandparents and with Megan's mother Angela.

After a message exchange on January 29, 2020, Hawkins said "everything was adding up" and things "felt off." She says Boswell stopped posting pictures of Evelyn and would only speak about her if Hawkins brought her up.

Oh my heart -- I was shattered for witness Bailey Hawkins. A friend who was manipulated, used, and broken by MB.

After the text messages, I think MB is just a younger version of Casey Anthony. She wanted an enterprising boyfriend more than she wanted her daughter. The only way she could show up for HW at 5 AM and again at 10 pm-- because he was such good company to be around, was if she was child free. In the end, we learned she'd do anything to protect HW from bad press, etc., but had not an ounce of maternal instinct or desire to protect her child from harm.

MB fantasized a different type of life for herself, and it did not include being a Mommy to a 15 month old daughter -- especially with questionable paternity -- (similar to Caylee).

And although I don't doubt her family would have gladly taken in little Evelyn versus her tragic fate, MB was selfish-- she wanted any benefits from her family for herself. EB would have to vanish or forfeit keeping family all to herself. After all -- MB was there first. MOO

Poor Evelyn, she didn't stand a chance with the uncaring useless Bio Mom. (I hate to even refer to her as a Mom)

Tommy Boswell was the first witness to shed tears on Thursday, but he would not be the last.

Audrey Gibbs battled through tears when being sworn in, and Bailey Hawkins was so overcome when describing her concern for Evelyn and reading 2019 and 2020 text messages that Goodwin gave everyone a break.

Hawkins was still on the stand when Goodwin sent the jury back to their hotel. She will resume testimony on Friday morning.

Child Services; Evelyn’s remains were found on Mar. 6, 2020 at a family member’s property at the 500 block of Muddy Creek Road in Sullivan County; officially id’d Mar. 11, 2020). *Megan “Maggie” Boswell (18/now 23) aka Maggie Wood aka Megan Nicole Kys “mother” arrested & originally charged (2/25/20) with 1 count of false reporting. 2/6/25 Thursday, Trial Day 2: *The second day of Boswell’s murder trial began with Judge Jim Goodwin’s answer to a dispute that sent the jury to their hotel early on Wednesday. Judge Goodwin dismissed the jurors around 2:40pm Wednesday after Boswell’s attorney requested that he be able to cross-examine Tennessee Bureau of Investigation special agent & witness Brian Fraley about a Feb. 2020 interview he said he had with the defendant. Fraley was the first witness called in the trial. Judge ruled on interview dispute. Court resumed at 8:30am Thursday with Judge Goodwin’s decision to play portions of a police interview referenced by a witness Wednesday that led to a request by Boswell’s defense attorney Gene Scott. “For the fundamental fairness issue, I’m going to find that the entire video is going to be allowed,” Judge Goodwin said. On Thursday morning, Goodwin told both legal teams he had decided to play portions of the interview for the jury & would allow Scott to cross-examine Fraley.
*State witnesses: TBI Agent Brian Fraley [Scott began to cross-examine Fraley & quickly launched into playing portions of the interview [2/25/20] on the screen for the jury]. Tommy Boswell, Evelyn’s grandfather & Megan’s father. Austin Feller, hired hand [lived for free if he did maintenance in trailer park]. James Lewis, supervisor with DCS. Casey Saults, daughter of Megan’s foster parents. Dr. Barbara Pugh, Pediatrician. Paul Miller, ex partner of Ethan Perry’s grandmother. Steven Lawrence, knew Boswell thru his younger sister. Audrey Gibbs, knew Boswell in high school. Bailey Hawkins, knew Boswell from elementary school. Hawkins was informed she would need to return Friday morning to finish her testimony. Parties are expected back at court at 8:30am The jury will return at 9am. Trial continues on Friday, 2/7/25.

I will try to fill in here in there but a lot to keep up with....

Hotel employee said Megan never said anything about Evelyn, never appeared sad.

I did not catch this friends name but she went out to eat with MB and Evelyn and noticed that her (EB) nails and face were dirty and her clothes were dirty.
She became concerned when she did not see Evelyn anymore and MB was taking trips that normally you would take your child on.

On the stand, another friend of Megan's.

Described eating at a restaurant with Megan and Evelyn, Described Evelyn being dirty. Could smell her from across the table.

Said Megan started seeing H maybe two weeks later, said Megan started spending a lot of time with H, sent her photos with her and Hunter, didn't see her with Evelyn anymore, didn't post or talk about Evelyn anymore.

Friend asked where Evelyn was. Megan said she was with E. Said Megan told her E got emergency custody because of a bruise on Evelyn's head.
