I am wondering why they are "guarding" the Bobo's home. Is this usual? I haven't read about this in any other abduction case, unless there was a randsom demand. Could there have been a threatening note left? It seems strange to me.
I know that most families do not like the media presence; however, to guard the family for 3 weeks seems a bit odd.
Also, I am still wondering why in the beginning they did not set up road blocks. Wouldn't it be a good idea to set up a road block in the area when there is a known abduction?
This board has gone kinda DEAD. Usually when that happens, it's because one of the other cases has had a big development. O where O where can it be?
I've heard people here post about the family being "well-off" or "living well". Those terms can be rather subjective, but when I hear those terms, I do not think of the Bobo family. By all accounts they are an average, middle-class family. Both parents work........ Holly's mother is a teacher. I've heard conflicting reports about whether the father owns his own tree-trimming business or if he is an employee. The families are members and by all accounts, very involved in their church. Both children seem to be doing what children from middle-class families do...graduate from high school, attend some sort of secondary education while perhaps work a part-time job. Although technically adults, both children still live at home with their parents. I believe that says a lot for the family dynamics of the Bobo family.
I think (like most of us), they're just doing the best they can with what they have.
This is a link that talks about the property and the value of the home. Not at all above average....

I check in but by and large there is no new info, no new news. Pretty much every possible scenario has been battered about. Its really come down to wondering about relatively minor details.
Pretty much we know today, three weeks in, what we knew 24-48 hours into it. :banghead:
Thank you! In that first pic, it looks like a car parked inside the... for lack of a better word... carport... on the left hand side.
ETA: I'm sooooo bad at pics.

Has there been any mention of which school the mother works at? The link you've provided gives the distance from the house to nearby schools.
I am new to WS and this is my first post. I've been following for this thread for a couple of weeks now, and I had a thought today that I had not heard discussed yet. I wonder if anyone local is aware of any new construction before or after Holly's disappearance?
It seems if this was a planned abduction (which IMO it was) whoever did it would have planned what to do after the adbuction. New construction could have been a way to dispose of her body (I remember a case not too long ago where someone was killed and put under concrete for a new patio). It could also be a way to hold her captive (obviously I hope it's this option) i.e. some sort of cage being built in a house/garage/shed.
It seems in a small community, someone would know of a person buying this material or working in their yard on something. I know construction projects are common, especially in rural areas, but this could be a red flag for residents.
In addition, in response to the "game changing" item, what if it was a receipt for construction materials pointing towards some sort of confinment structure? I seem to remember the family was optimistic about the find, so if LE had evidence that the abductor was building a place to hold her, wouldn't that give the family hope that she is alive?
My other thought on the game changing item would be a receipt for a large supply of food/water/supplies, pointing to a plan for keeping her alive as well.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!

Something is very odd here. I, and others, are still wondering why(and who) ask all middle Tennessee farmers to 'check their farms' in relation to this case. The TBI nor the TFB would never issue a public statement like that. I don't see anything about it in the posts here-I can't read them all-however if anyone else has heard this please clue me in. I got a e-mail snippet from other concerned land owners who had seen it posted on other missing persons forums.
I, most assuredly, don't need anyone telling me to check my land for a crime scene and nothing as large as a human body is going to stay on the ground very long in Tennessee this time of year without discovery. As a large land owner I have always had a good relationship with law enforcement and know this is not how cases-even one with all the oddities this one has-are handled.
Who could have issued a -somewhat insulting- request like this?

This came to me in a dream last night. Yeah, I know, I am obsessing over this case but I can't help it. Holly needs to come home. Has there ever been positive proof that she ever entered the woods with her captor? Did Clint actually see her go "into" the woods or did he see her being "led" toward the woods? I ask this because looking at the pics you guys are posting it seems possible that a vehicle could have been parked behind the house over to the left. It would make sense to lead Holly in that direction and then veer left to the vehicle. Perhaps this is why dogs didn't pick up a scent going into the woods. BTW, great pictures BeanE

Sorry if this has been touched on already but that would put Mom about 30 minutes away from home. Has there been any confirmation on what time LE arrived at the home?
I'm not sure what time LE arrived onsite, but it has been reported that the mother was already at the home.
I'm not sure there's more than one carport, or I think, just based on the natural use of language, that we'd have seen some references to "one of the carports", rather than consistently just "the carport", which indicates there's only one. I dunno.
