I think my statement may have been misunderstood.
What I was trying to say, is that I don't understand how Holly's cousin being on a television show has anything at all to do with finding Holly. Or why it would be 'dismissive' of her cousin to be on a tv show. :waitasec:
If Holly had a cousin who was an oncologist, and who continued to treat cancer patients while Holly was missing- or a cousin who was a cosmetologist who continued to cut hair while Holly was missing- or a cousin who was a pet sitter who continued to take care of other peoples' pets... would that make them 'dismissive' of Holly's situation??
And why on earth does it matter what Holly's cousin is doing??
And I feel the need to say again, that WS's is a victim friendly forum. Mod's- please correct me if I am mistaken- but imvho, this train of thought is completely useless in the search for Holly, and does not respect the victims' family.
Oriah-
Sorry , let me try this again.
You are right--Whitney involvement with the Survivor show will absolutely not help in finding Holly. However some on here feel she did this to "keep Holly's case" out there, and my point is "good try" but don't think so.
IMOO- It is dismissive of the severity of the case and it's impact on Whitney.
Could YOU Oriah, with your Sister-like cousin still missing, just say
"Survivor? what a great idea!!!" On Tv, Millions of people watching, and snappy little promos leading up to the new season. Holly Who??
The comparisons to Cosmetologists, Pet Sitters, and Oncologists continuing their profession in light of a tragedy is what they should do....but if one of them left their job to go on a reality show--How weird would that be...and that is what makes the whole Whitney/ Survivor thing strange.
Furthermore I think WS is extremely considerate of the Bobo family as victims. No disrespectful accusations here, only discussion.
