I'm not positive, but I believe the nursing boards are only given at certain times of the year. Perhaps they haven't been given since she graduated? Or maybe she just didn't pass? Or maybe she is using drugs too? I guess that isn't too far of a stretch given that she is living in a house full of people that are known to use drugs (Tommy, Hank Sr, and Lisa). I don't really know. !

It doesn't look that way, From the Nursing site:

Q: How often is the NCLEX given?
A: Testing is available at Pearson Vue centers 15 hours a day six days a week, except Sundays and holidays. This is subject to change.

600 diplomas are awarded at FCTC ceremonies

Published Sunday, July 05, 2009

Career/technical programs and GED diplomas were present recently during First Coast Technical College's commencement ceremony.

Dr. Christine Cothron, FCTC President, welcomed more than 600 people to FCTC's Conference Center. "It's always exciting to see someone successfully complete one chapter in their lives and move on to another. You now have the skills to do so, but you'll always remain a part of the FCTC family," she told the gathering.

Delivering the graduation speech was Bill Hughes, general manager of the TPC Sawgrass and PGA. Carol Alford, FCTC board chair, offered congratulations to graduates.

I think LE takes people's addresses off of their driver's license.

I'm not sure exactly when Misty obtained her's. Maybe she got it at a time when she didn't have a permanent address so she used her last "real" address which was Green Lane? Not exactly "legal", I know - but who knows what goes through her head. :waitasec:

Legally, when a person moves, s/he has, IIRC, 10 days to notify the DMV of an address change. So, when Ron and Misty moved to Welaka to GGM's house, she should have done an address change to reflect that move. Problem after the divorce is she was, for all intents and purposes, homeless. I have no idea what address she would use at that point? Now that she is living on Tyler Street, she should change her address to reflect that address. (Who knows how long she'll last there, though)!! No one at that address seems to be very law abiding & able to give her good advice.

Now that Misty is living with her relatives she will likely have access to one of their vehicles. I wonder if LE told her she needs to contact the motor vehicle branch to report her change of address?
When is Misty eligible to apply for social assistance? I think she should take responsibility for herself and rent herself a room in a boarding house. There is no room for her at Hank's place and she needs to have her own place IMO.

IIRC, maybe in an AH article, I read that Hank Sr is in fact receiving some type of disability from after his car accident.

As for Tommy - he wore that neck brace for only a day or two. Now, this is MO only, but I suspect he went to the ER to get pain medication ONLY! On the 911 call after the fight with Ron, he stated he was not injured:

Like I said, my suspicions are that he saw an opportunity to get some "drugs" and took advantage. MOO. I don't believe for one minute that Tommy has any type of physical disability. I do however feel that he has a drug addiction and needs some rehab so he can lead a healthy and productive life. Obviously that is in the best interest of his children. My heart broke reading the police report seeing that his own child (the 6 year old) was AFRAID of his own father!

The business that the Croslins used to run was:

T & T DRYWALL, INC

It was registered in FL as a "FL Profit Corporation" in Bunnell, FL on 03/01/2005

It is now listed as "Inactive".

Tommy (Hank Croslin, Jr) was listed as the President of the Company, with Hank Sr as the Vice President.

The last thing I can find filed on the business is:

Last Event ADMIN DISSOLUTION FOR ANNUAL REPORT
Event Date Filed 09/15/2006

Thanks for digging up these reports. It's possible Hank Sr received a substantial amount of money in a lump sum after his accident, but if this is the case, why would Lisa Croslin steal cheques from her blind neighbor?

Tommy is out (again) as of 4:30 p.m.

Since you have to post 10% of your bond,to be released from jail, Tommy only needed to pay $50 to get out of jail and if I got it right, when you go to court to face your charges you can be fined and/or spend time in jail.

Thank you for posting this good news. I am so happy to know she graduated from a program that offers her a promising future and a decent income.

Now if she would just get rid of the vermin and make a life for herself and the kids. She can make good money as a nurse and work just about anywhere because there always seems to be a shortage.

As I understand it, Misty did not have a driver's license while living at 202 Green. IIRC, she got her license after the "wedding" because that gave her status to attain one. They never moved back into the MH after Feb 10.

She gave the wrong address to LE which has happened before as we all are aware. The LE responders are not there to verify addresses. Looks like you can tell them anything you want regarding where you live.

BBM

Actually, you have to provide proof of address. This is from the FL DMV website: (It shows at the bottom of the page it IS the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles)

http://www.gathergoget.com/checklist/index.php
1. Primary Identification (Gather one original or certified copy of the following documents: ) Then there is a list of acceptable documents

2. Proof of Social Security Number (Gather one original or certified copy of the following documents: ) Then there is a list of acceptable forms of ID with SS#

3. 2 Proofs of Residential Address (Gather TWO of the following documents showing your residential address: ) Then there is a list of acceptable documents

*This list is specific for Putnam County.

*I have no idea how/what Misty used to show she lived on Green Lane. I also do not know WHEN she got her driver's license.

I do agree with you that LE is not there to verify where you live.

And if the people at the scene dont' have them, then what? IMO they write what they tell them.

He may have. but with the rampant drug use in that family, I'm sure that money is long gone. imo. Prescription drugs obtained illegally are not cheap.

Unless Tommy and Lindsy agreed that she would be the primary breadwinner of the family now that she has her nursing license and he would be a "stay-at-home daddy", (which he appears to be failing miserably at), he owes it to his family to find some type of suitable employment asap. Judging by Tommy's criminal history, Hank Jr is not an honest person and I wonder what Lindsy sees in him. Maybe Lindsy's seizures are a sign she is waking up to reality. Tommy needs to get his act together but I don't think anyone will want to take a chance on hiring him because of his past and present run ins with the law. If Lindsy kicks him out, he will be homeless.

Do LPN's make enough for her to support herself and her children?

  • #275
Just a question, do we know where Lyndsy works right now and does an LPN have access to prescription drugs? I mean no disrespect with that question, I just feel with all the prescription medications floating around it would be good to know that as an LPN she does not have access.

  • #276
I might have found my answer, I don't know. I googled and another case in Florida opened up. I don't want to mention any names but there was a case in Florida where an LPN had her license suspended for attempting to sell Oxycontin among other drugs.

Still not discovered where Lyndsy works.

Yeah. I checked that a month or so ago.

I don't really know. All I know is that on the police reports, they are all listed as "unemployed".

I feel so bad for those 3 children. I just pray DCF gets them OUT of that house! I don't think the AH article mentions where Lindsy's mother lives. Maybe she is nearby and can help out her grandkids!

BBM I hope I'm doing this right. This hits very close to home for me. I knew a RN who had no problem if a friend or family member smoked pot but she always said let me know so I can leave the room. She feared she would test positive because she was randomly tested for drugs. She died from a drug overdose. Pills killed her. Her spouse liked to take pills also. That was the common bond between the 2 of them. When I found out what the true story between this couple was you could have knocked me over with a feather. She always looked and acted great, perfect hair, makeup etc. He had several minor arrests and everyone thought he had a problem. He admitted in the end he went out to get the pills so she would not get in trouble. This happened over 10 years ago but when I see people who stay with someone who abuses drugs or booze just makes me say hmmmmmm

Tommy's police report from 2 week's ago lists her as "unemployed"

Can you imagine what it's like sitting in that house day in and day out? Hank Sr., Lisa, Tommy, Lindsy, Misty and the 2 youngest children? Thankfully the oldest boy gets to get out of their and go to school! He is the "lucky" one.

Do LPN's make enough for her to support herself and her children?

IIRC, Lindsy's relatives helped her buy her home on Tyler but if she and Tommy were to separate & ultimately divorce, I think they have to split the assets they accumulated during their marriage. Tommy better shape up or Lindsy is going to be considering 50 ways to leave her lover. Lindsy should be able to support herself and her 3 children on a LPN's salary and it sounds like her family are there to support her when she needs help. However it is extremely difficult to work full-time and take care of yourself and 3 young children, especially if she has to work the night shift. I'm not sure how it works in the States, but Lindsy may be required to work a minimum amount of hours and takes courses along the way to maintain her license but I hope she holds onto her license during this stressful time in her marriage. In Canada LPN's make over $20 per hour to start and as someone already mentioned, LPN's can find work anywhere but the challenge for Lindsy is to manage the stresses in her personal life. Does Lindsy smoke cigarettes? I believe it was Chelsea I saw smoking with Misty. Tommy is wasting his family's money getting into all this trouble and he needs to get a grip on himself and put his family first if it's not already too late.

I know right. And surely they don't enjoy going out because everyone recognizes them. I can't even imagine. I am actually a little frightened to think what might happen next.
