This is the first trial I have ever followed and it has been an emotional experience. I am not sure I will be able to follow another one. I am Leary of the justice system from personal experience but I keep having faith that justice will prevail.

Hi Kensie. I understand how you are feeling although I don't know whether you think she is guilty.

I've thought about what might happen if she's found not guilty. After OJ and Casey Anthony, I just don't know if we can handle another not guilty verdict in such a high profile case. Will there be even stronger calls for reforms than there were after Casey Anthony? I'll be writing a letter to someone, that's for sure.

Barring some bombshell from the defense that hasn't been presented yet, I just have to trust that the jury will do what I would do-- find her guilty.

P.S. a hung jury doesn't bother me. She will be tried again and found guilty the second time around in a much shorter trial.

So true that even in this day and age there are some things we don't control.

It took me and my ex 3 years of trying and disappointment until we were blessed with my lil Knot!

And we then tried again for #2 and after 3 years and a miscarriage finally decided to be happy with the blessings we held.

All this to say, not everyone gets knocked up just because they want to.
I love how you talk about your little "knot" from your avatar - but if I did that, I'd have to talk about my little "junkies"!! lol
Glad you were able to experience the awe and joy a child brings into our lives - it's a true blessing.

Okay. Now that your spring cleaning is all done.....what happened to spring????

It's not done by a long shot, but if I hold out long enough Spring will sprung.

She fully participated in what her husband was doing. The only reason she is out today is because she pleaded a deal (yay JM for not allowing such things). Karla basically assisted her husband in almost everything he did and most Canadian's (including myself) are still so mortified by the thought that was allowed that we basically pretend it didn't happen.

Karla is as vile and hideous as JA.

JA's trial is still in court. I hope the judge will start to be a judge!

I no longer have faith in "justice".

PB was only a rapist until he met Karla. Anyway ITA with your post.

Spring is alive and well here in Georgia. Trees blooming, birds singing, 60's in the day 40's at night, oh how I wish it would stay this way all year.

Can I come and stay at your house? Even if you ask me to leave? I'll sleep under your Christmas tree....or hide in your closet? :floorlaugh:

It was truly freudian wasn't it LOL!! We all wanted to barf, and then someone actually did.

Actually the act of vomiting was a rather appropriate comment on the trial proceedings today. My sentiments exactly.

What is regrettable is that the poor lady did not manage to vomit all over JA.

She has corroborating witnesses (who entered the bathroom at the time of the confrontation), and we don't know how much she had to drink - she may have lost her balance without being wholly impaired. She seems to have pretty good recall (and others, as I said who could back her story up - very significant imv).

Doesn't sound like there was any drinking going on in the scenario at Travis' house... or at the dinner in UT.

I don't see any reason to discredit her just because she consumed alcohol and lost her balance at one point in the evening... She's well ahead of JA - no 'fog' even after drinks.

Even if she was falling down drunk - call in the friends who rescued her from JA (shudder).

But you're right - everything she might say WOULD be called into question - probably SOP regarding alcohol, but I just don't think it would be successful. I could be wrong. :)

Paperwing, would you mind sharing the story you guys are talking about?

If that happens I will have to stop watching. Can't take the injustice.
We know she is guilty, she admitted it. The rest is mitigation.

I'm glad I don't have the time to watch this whole thing. I started out recording it but found the whole trial so far off track, that I stopped watching. The defense should have spent more time on the physical evidence and less time on Jodi's love life. I also think the media coverage of this is so bad. I have a feeling that a lot of media people will be let go after this, unfortunately they will probably let the wrongs ones go. By the way are you available because my house could use a good cleaning.[/QUOTE]

LOL on the bolded part. I still have the loft, seven rooms and 3 bathrooms to house clean, but at least I got a start.

Counting rooms in my home ... I have less to clean than you and I haven't even started ! Lol
I am too into this trial! I really need to clean.
(seriously... My son spilled a drop of tea on the kitchen floor a few hours ago and I just cleaned it up. It had collected a dog hair! I know gross....
I used to be OCD with cleaning... :waitasec:
Not sure where it went!

I think JA is guilty and deserves the DP. Thank you for your input.

The logic of that lame defence that the PDS test was valid and could be reasonably applied across the board regardless of circumstance escapes me. If that were so, why is it mandated across the board that it should be repeated when seriously new info comes to light regarding the stressor? Even Samuels copped to that yesterday, that he should have retested her. What a bunch of manipulative, mendacious weasels.

HLN keeps saying, "Tonight's Bold Accusation: Jodi Arias Shows No Remorse."
Way to go out on a limb there HLN.

Exactly!
IMO They should have showed the Jury the photos of the stab wounds in his BACK- and said well there goes the self defense story - let's move on to Mitigation.
This is obscene.

On the pro-Jodi site, they have an 'interesting' theory about those back stab wounds. Some pf her supporters say that he was laying on top of her and she was stabbing him in the back to try and get free.

I am trying hard to 'make that work' but it just doesn't. If he was on top of her then why wouldn't he be controlling her arms. And how could she continue to stab him in the back from such a 'weak' position? It is hard to imagine that she could stick in the knife, pull it free and do so over and over, while he is on top of her. Why wouldnt he prevent her from using her arms if his body was on top of hers already?

Good lord, well come here you could have my house done in no time. I have big screens and laptops everywhere so you wouldn't miss a moment of the trial.

Yes and the second time around! New judge new attorneys.
