After re-watching the sequestration hearing, Nurmi calls out Jurors 1, 4, 6, 13, 17. He's going for a mistrial by removing enough jurors so that the number falls under 12?

threeplus1, sorry I should not have laughed at your post.....it took me back to the last few months of my Dad's life. He had Alzheimer’s, and would watch a show over and over again, hoping for a different ending....it was funny, kinda....again, I am sorry that I laughed...

I think it's her passive aggressive smile.
She is seething about her journals being released
to the public... IMO

I believe she wrote those for public consumption. If anything, she's upset she didn't make any money off of her "journal articles." :twocents:

Earlier, on HLN, Jason Lamm said that they would probably try to get an appeal on this issue, but the judge was ready this morning, cited cases from Arizona law and covered all the basis and he thinks an appeal would be denied.

And I was so proud of her, she was actually acting like a judge!

Cat lovers every where will be angry with this description unless of course you mean this feline.

Aw, c'mon. That's Blizzard, the wonder-cat. He speaks seven languages fluently and was the first feline to pilot a vehicle outside of earth orbit. What's more, he is a Michelin Star chef and was the inspiration for Gordon Ramsay. He's now semi-retired and teaches origami and Taoist geomancy at the University of Beijing.

Don't buy him tequila, though. Just sayin'.

Jennifer Willmott is a one-dimensional lawyer who cannot stray from her playbook of canned statements she learned in Law School. She obviously has never learned about overplaying your hand to the point that anything you or your witness has to say goes unnoticed by the jury because all they can think about is summer reruns of their favorite shows.

What I think we all like about Juan is that he doesn't need a book or a written road map to know how to question a witness and he understands the limits of jurors. That is why his examination of witnesses is heads and shoulders above that of the defense team. It is a shame that after all these weeks; the defense team has not taken the opportunity to review their progress and their performance for their jealous murderess client, JA.

That that being said, the TA family, the jury, and the state of Arizona deserve much better than what the defense if forcing them to endure. The defense should be ashamed...

Nurmi isn't bright. The media is in court. Filming the trial!
They know not to film jurors.
So what if they were getting their cameras ready?
Maybe they are filming to PROVE there is no tampering going on
as jurors arrive and depart???

That would be cool!

DT are just grasping (as hard as they can) at straws. Such pitiful desperation IMO.

Lawyers - help me out here please.

I really do not understand how Travis' journals can be used in this trial.

We all know damn well that if he had said anything in his writings about being scared of Jodi killing him, or her stalking him, or should he end up dead then Jodi did it...that would be grounds on appeal and her conviction possibly overturned.

How can they do this?

I'd say you must be kidding, but sadly, I know you are not. Will someone rid me of this meddlesome monkey on my back? This trial will be the end of me. I'm jonesin' from sunup to sundown. I'm thinking of starting a Rehab program.

I am so in! I think I need an intervention.

Had a meeting, please someone tell me they got up to June 2008? I'm begging for the love of all that you hold holy, are we at least into June?

I do not get how she is saying Jodi was pulling away. Jodi crawled through his doggie door and slept on his couch. Does anyone know if Travis drove to Jodi after she moved back to California. Urgh, this is making me so mad. Travis was the victim not crazy Jodi. I will never take this woman seriously, I will never buy her book or watch a tv show that she is on. I hate how they are bashing Travis. This should be illegal. Jodi has lied about everything, her word should not be evidence.

Okay, so in the world according to Alyce, when Travis is saying, "I hate you. Stay away from me. You're lazy. You're sick and you're a sociopath...."

What he really means is, "You belong to me. You're so beautiful. I'm jealous of other men. I think you are just fantabulous!!"

Okay, Alyce doesn't just need A thesaurus, she needs a BRAND NEW thesaurus.

So here we have:

A FEMALE Murderer, being defended by
A FEMALE Attorney, examining
A FEMALE DV "Expert", in front of
A FEMALE Judge, all for the purposes of slandering
A MALE DV Murder Victim

Is this what the Suffragettes were fighting for 100 years ago? I think not.

The 4 women listed above have formed a twisted sisterhood (more like a cabal) to besmirch an innocent man and have us believe that MEN are the root of all evil... as though the MURDER VICTIM deserved to be slaughtered. They should all be extremely ashamed of themselves.

I have no words for how this distorted picture of Female Empowerment is breaking my heart. The feminist movement was about equal rights for women, not a blanket indictment of men. At least two of the above women (attorney and judge) have benefited from the fight that women waged 40 years ago, and one other (the DV "expert") found her calling from a very legitimate offshoot of that fight.... the fourth (the murderer) shouldn't be included in the female species, period....

And now watching this unbalanced, unfair witch hunt is making me feel as though there is nothing "equal" about what's going on. One the one hand I could look at this and say "Yay for women! We can be judges, lawyers, astronauts and murderers too!" One the other hand, well... imagine if this was 4 MEN smirking, guffawing and LYING their way through a rape/murder case, painting the dead (female) rape victim as "easy" or "dressing like she wanted it"; imagine some neanderthal MAN pontificating about the rape victim's journals, e-mails, texts, giving his "impressions" of her state of mind.

I know that used to happen in the olden days but there has got to be some middle ground - I don't like the message this is sending.

I'm rambling and can't get a clear through-line for my thoughts right now because this is all very upsetting. Maybe someone else out there can verbalize what I'm feeling. Thanks for letting me vent.

Well, don't be so disturbed. Just think, not long ago, it was all men doing the same thing. I think it's absurd to suggest that there is a conspiracy between these "four women" against "one man". I guess you would prefer it to be all men in power in that courtroom right now. Sad.

I just updated post numbers of the pseudo-transcripts in the TAGS section . . .

Thank you to the poster(s) who has been trying to help keep up with those . . . as some posts are removed by the mods - the post numbers of my transcripts change.

hope this isn't too confusing . .. I will try and post them on the No Discussion thread after a bit for those who are unable to watch testimony live.
