So is Roux accusing police of hole in bedroom door, planting evidence lol

  • #162
So Roux is now suggesting police put the bullet holes in the bedroom door. Good luck to him with convincing judge of that one...

  • #163
Now showing the big crack in bottom of bedroom door.

Roux is asking 'And the same reason you did not take a photo of this?' as though there isn't actually a photo on screen. Very, very strange.

  • #164
Reading into Roux's utter desperation suggest's some damning evidence to come yet, JMO.

  • #165
It's clear to me that Van Staden took photos of the most fragile evidence, and then went back the day after to take photos of less fragile evidence (i.e. the main bedroom door).

  • #166
Photo shown of plank of door on floor.

R: Why did you take a photo of that?

  • #167
Isn't all that Roux is doing is trying to create 'reasonable doubt' into every prosecution witnesses testimony?

It seems a bit bizarre to do that though when it's only a judge and no jury because the judge is no doubt fully aware of how attorneys work.

Roux is doing a truly superb job of demonstrating just how weak his client's case is....OP's innocence can only be demonstrated if everyone else is an incompetent liar.

This witness is so calm and unruffled - Roux's worst nightmare.

  • #169
This is going to be a long drawn out cros

VS says Col M was reprimanded by him and made to leave the scene after he made the gun safe without gloves, in answer to Roux's question about why Col M vacated the scene.

Now onto cables, bedside table. R: 'Why did you take that photo?'

Surely Nel should object to these repeated insinuations there is something suspicious about a police photographer actually taking photos at a crime scene?

Roux seems all at sea with this segment of the x-examine.. not confident, not up to speed, and not with a full grasp of what he has to deal with.. . its either an off day, or this is offputting evidence.... cant decide.

Can it be...Roux is gradually learning that his client has not been truthful with him on many aspects of the evening.

Roux to ask for a raise from OP for having to twist his brain to show that evidence fits OP's story.

:pullhair: :bang:

  • #172
Roux hasn't actually got to the content of the photos as yet..

Sorry Zwi.. I haven't been keeping up transcribing.. phone calls here at home, why DO people ring at these times??

I put it to you.. in all fairness.. not to waste time..

  • #173
R wants to know what the bedding was that was photographed, what VS can remember, but he only wants him to remember, not consult a photo.

  • #174
Photo of bedroom floor Feb 16th;

R: How does it happen there was such a great disturbance of that scene?

VS: When photos are taken, things are retained as evidence...it's just part of the investigation

VS says something on the floor (remote?) was under the bed but someone took it out from under the bed, he does not know who. He does not know who 'moved the fans' either. That is Roux saying the fans were moved, as a fact.

  • #175
There is confusion over the right and left side of the bed, who means what.

  • #176
Roux insinuating photos were staged

  • #177
There were 7000 photos taken & the photos he's referring to were 3 days later

  • #178
Roux makes a point there is a sport mag on left side of the bed.

Don't ask me whose left.

R doesn't want to go into the sandals, but wants to know now why VS took a photo of the gym bag, and why it was moved.

Roux is just trying to discredit every single object/bit of evidence photographed at the scene, imo. And the photographer's reasons for taking the photo, as though he has committed some sort of crime....

  • #179
Roux has to be really desperate to go to all this trouble. I get the feeling that he thinks the only way OP will get off is by getting the trial thrown out on a technicality.

Sorry, don't think much at all of the judge. She allows badgering and arguing with a witness, expects a witness to comment on another witness's evidence. Very wrong to me. It seems to all go over her head. I hope someone in her circle reminds her what she is there for.

I dread to hear Roux's eventual cross of the blood spatter analyst. I expect him to insinuate that the blood spatter was moved or altered.
