I wondered just how high she was, or is she just highly functional when high because she was in and out of HD in under 7 min I believe. That is a short time in my opinion. Also she used the self checkout, which in the best of times I find confusing. I use them pretty regularly and never seem to breeze through the scanning and paying very quickly. In Woodstock there is only the Zehr's grocery store (which is not her closest grocery option), Canadian Tire and Home Depot that have self checkouts. I would question how much experience she has had with them. No real conclusion about this, just a comment. It has always puzzled me that a person strung out on drugs could go through HD so quickly. MOO

Didn't she testify that she had developed a high tolerence for painkillers?

So yeah, the trunk was already opened, so does that show he might have known what she picked up? Why would he open the trunk if he didn't know what it was she was getting. She could have just kept the bag and thrown it in the back seat or put it at her feet.

He gave her the money to buy the items. Do you think she had the cash? Wouldn't he ask her what she needed. Was he in the habit of lending drug addicts $40 for home supplies? When he himself only had $30 left to his name?

Well we don't know that but if they haven't shown up in court yet, they might be on the witness list IMO.

Chapter 9 should be very interesting.

I believe she did, I just associate being high, with being out of it...non-functioning...but I really have no experience with how one would act when on OXY/Percocets....

I wonder how mad MTR mother is for him telling his dealer that the drugs were for his mother? And for dragging her into it by telling the officer that his mother went over to CMs house. IMO I wonder how mad his brothers are about this as well. IMO If indeed they are upset which I don't know.

IMO The fact that MR has not had a single friend or relative show up to offer him any support (that we know of) speaks volumes.

IMO, perhaps they're afraid it won't end well for MR. I bet they're also afraid of being targeted by the paparazzi.

MR's mother was dragged into this for sure, she is the "reason" for her son's drugs AND he brings her into to Carol McClintic's drug house and gets her involved with Carol. ????? VERY bizarre behaviour.JMO

Percocets would be covered by her extended health care plan. I imagine that she had one since she was working full-time?

It's possible if she had a health plan from work. However not all pills are covered by work health plans, like not all pills arpse covered by public health plans.

She also recalled Rafferty telling her about the girl's disappearance, how he thought it was drug-related and that "he was going to look for her" that following weekend.

He started talking about Tori a few days after she goes missing???? WOW. He is going to look for her??? All this while TLM just got picked up and is in juvie and he is likely flipping out. What else did he do that first weekend I wonder, to try to diffuse the situation away from him? JMO

Yes, except he has strings of women reporting/testifying that they briefly 'dated' them. I wonder how/why all those relationships ended?
(Sorry if that has been covered already)

A couple of his girlfriends said that the was cloying, and manipulative, and wanted the relationships to advance too quickly and that he cried when he didn't get what he wanted.

Rafferty also told her about how police had arrested the woman who was with him on April 8 as a suspect in the case.

You're absolutely right, that's why I said they could have used it in his defense, he would than have prefered only men, that's my point.

TLM most likely would have been able to function fine while taking percs and oxy, in my opinion. The body does build up a tolerance to these drugs, and they also effect everybody differently. I have never taken oxy (refused it, knowing how addictive it is), but percs don't get me high at all. In fact, they don't even work for pain. I have taken 5 percs at once to try to curb severe pain. All I got was a stomach ache from the overdose of Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Not once have I got high off the percs.
My mother, on the other hand, will get high from one T3 (acetaminophen, caffeine, and codeine - another opiate). She can still function when high, sort of... kind of like she is drunk. My father does not get high from oxy. I have known several people who have taken these drugs illegally, and they have said that it makes them feel calm. Normal.
Everybody's body handles these drugs differently. And from the sounds of it, these people probably have very damaged livers, JMO (from constantly overdosing on Acetaminophen, trying to get high)

My point is that TLM's composure, if high, is not surprising to me. And these drugs likely wouldn't put either of them in some sort of murderous rage where they had no clue what they were doing. What does it feel like to be high on these drugs? I don't know, they have never effected me that way. I can only speculate based on my experience combined with my observations and the words of others. So, this is my opinion only.

You are correct. I have been told that it works faster and 'all at once', instead of gradually as it would if one took the pills orally. But, since I have never done this, I can't say for certain whether the result is different, or just faster. I was never told if it was a different high, just that the results are faster. I still highly doubt 'murderous rage' is a side effect, though.

I suspect that both MTR and TLM would have seemed very scarey to Tori and if she was told not to make a peep she probably would not have..as I would think they wouldn't have said it in a very nice way :rocker:

Well, it's possible that MTR intimidated Tori into behaving herself, but if you can believe TLM's testimony that the little girl thought of her as a friend and protector during all this, it seems doubtful that she (TLM) had acted aggressively toward her. Tori supposedly took her hand, talked to her, asked her to stay with her during the assault, etc. However, it's pretty hard to know how much of TLM's story is credible.

I just realized that Tori not being seen throughout this 2 1/2 hour ordeal (by BA or people in the parking lot) is not that unbelievable. She could have calmly been sitting in the back seat thinking she was being babysat.
