RaffertyLFP: Scoyne labelling a variety of points of interest on a map of Woodstock; school, variety store, motel.

Starlight Variety is also marked on the map. It's on a stand in front if the jury.

Derstine now asking Scoyne questions. References the letters found at McClintic's home.

Dirk Derstine begins cross-examination of Scoyne; starts questioning letters read in court yesterday found in McClintic's home.

In Rafferty's own make-believe-world he is:

-Contractor
-Landscaper
-worked a better beef in Guelph
-Dance Instuctor
-was said to be in college working towards a Veterinary Assistant
-Caretaker (for his Mother) & TLM's Mother
-Possible drug traffic
-As MR stated in the LE interview, he also worked at Glen Abbey.
-And I believe he was a chef, trained at George Brown.
-working under the table

If LE searched my home, they would find 4 or 5 of those knives (mostly without blades still in them) as well as 4 tool boxes and a cabinet full of tools, a kitchen drawer full of hundreds of paper receipts waiting to be shredded, coats, computer storage media, prescription pills, .........and hair dye.

I don't see much unusual in the list, unless the computer media contains some evidence, or there is some evidence on the pea coat, or some written evidence found.........or something more definate.

As to the fact that MR lived at home, this is a well documented phenomena known as "Boomerang Kids" and isn't at all unusual.

The statistics are that the majority of kids completing their University studies return to living at home. Others who joined the workforce in factory or construction jobs found themselves unemployed in the recession and many of those jobs have not come back. Woodstock has a high unemployment rate and few employment opportunities.

The high cost of student loans, cost of living........combined with high unemployment (and underemployment such as part time jobs) for this age group (some estimate it as high as 40% of the population, and with the addition of low wages.............has combined to create this scenario.

The parents of such kids are known as the "sandwich generation" squeezed between supporting their own aging parents and the return of their adult kids.

I wouldn't make too much of the fact that MR still lived at home. Most adults his age are doing the same.

The coat and the knife could have evidence of Tori on them. The receipt for the hair dye shows MR bought it for TLM to disguise herself, the note and the pictures go to show MR is a huge liar, that he actually knew TLM. Goes to show the two of them were connected. Just more for the jurors to see TLM was telling the truth on the stand and MR cannot be believe. TLM's claim is was MR's PLAN to sexually assault Tori. HTH and :moo:

Missing posters were handed out by police during their initial house to house canvass of the south side of the city. There was also a day where friends and family of Victoria's stopped traffic on the main street and handed out posters to people driving by.

I don't remember if the ones found in MR and TLM's house are the same as those mentioned above, it's possible.

MOO

My point is when you're the actually people that committed that crime, why would you keep posters unless you're sick enough to want to remember your "conquest" she kept it and so did he. Are they stupid enough to think that if they got searched the posters would make them look innocent because everyone else had them???

RaffertyLFP: Derstine asking about gang slang found in letters; now showing an image from McClintic's facebook page

Asks about the crown as a gang sign. Not familiar to Scoyne. Derstine says EOA was on the letter, "East of Adelaide". Scoyne not famalier.

Has anyone found any information about SKU numbers? I was unable to find anything that shows whether they are different on every single item, or the same for job lots and how often they are changed at the factory.

More importantly, why was the date on the Walmart receipt not mentioned? That, to me, is very significant. I hope the defence will bring this up.

As for the "Missing" posters for Tori: There must have been literally thousands of those floating around Woodstock and vicinity by then. I would bet that half the homes in town had one or more. I fail to see where this could be evidence of anything except that both TLM and MTR were aware of the disappearance ... as was everyone else in town.

If he was worried enough about that knife blade, he would have discarded the whole knife. But we already know that he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. (pun intended)

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I understand that the knife is a utility knife which has replaceable blades.

If so, I have a pile of them sitting in toolboxes, because they are one of those throwaway items where it is almost cheaper to buy the knife and blade combined than purchase the replacement blades.

Also, guys are notoriously lazy and would rather buy a new knife than replace a blade.................

Wasn't there a poster also found in his bag or car?

I haven't heard. Has Rafferty's mother been there?

 I highly doubt it. She's probably in hiding for what her son has allegedly done. I think she'd be too afraid to been seen there. The media would be all over her like bees to a hive. JMHO

:floorlaugh: I don't blame him. Didn't you bring home blue the last time?! And it reminded him on Marg Simpson? :floorlaugh:

...if he says he "it's ok, I'll just walk several steps behind you when we are out" then i will take it back:blushing:

Derstine wants to know the top 10 most frequently played song on the iPod; #1 "Baby Bash" by Sean Kingston... #2 is a Necro song

Derstine still focused on McClintic's iPod. Asking which songs were most played. Scoyne says police did a report in the top ten.

Top song was by Sean Kingston. Then a Necro song was #2. Called "Your ****in' Head Split". Disgusting lyrics. Being played now

Derstine asks Scoyne about songs found on McClintic's iPod. Asks him if he actually listened to it. No, but other police did, he says

The point remains, if he did use that knife to cut out material from the seat, the "smart" criminal would discard the complete knife, not just the blade. Evidence could get on the handle.

They both lived with people who have not been charged with the crime, maybe THEY kept the posters.

Court sees lyric sheet and is hearing the song "Your ****in' Head Split" by Necro

Here's a link to the lyrics: http://bit.ly/HYb99U

Song references splitting an enemies head open in the chorus.

  • #160
Of the named songs on the iPod, that was the second most played, Scoyne says. Unnamed tracks didn't have play counts.

Court now hearing some of top most played songs on McC's iPod. It's by death rapper Necro about splitting someone's head open
