There was probably no blood on the blade so he probably thought that there would be no evidence on it and just put it back in the tool box

If he was worried enough about that knife blade, he would have discarded the whole knife. But we already know that he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. (pun intended)

Is McClintic allowed to give interviews to reporters from prison?

after this trial, yes. Whether or not should would is an entirely different question.

But does the defence have to disclose to the Crown all the evidence it has? I asked that a few days ago, but didn't see an answer.

The defence doesn't have to disclose any evidence to the Crown.

Are Tori's parents at the trial today?

Mike Knoll: @Ashley - I have seen her father, but not her mother. I'm in the overflow courtroom though. They are always in the main courtroom.

i think that maybe LE was trying to show her perhaps likes buying things in two's or maybe his mother does.....ie the hair dye and perhaps the "knives".

One question I would have is since they found a bigger hammer sitting in the front closet...........if MR had planned this abduction beforehand, as is alleged by the Crown............why would he not have taken that hammer and garbage bags from home?

The presence of the heavier hammer in his home would also indicate that me that he has some past experience with it and knows which end of it to use to strike.

Probably lots more to come out yet though.............IMO

That hammer probably belonged to his mother or her common law boyfriend. How does one explain a missing hammer? If it belong to him, it had his fingerprints and DNA all over it. So by getting TLM to buy the new one, it would only have her fingerprints and DNA on it, if in fact she was the one who used it on Tori. In some ways he was thinking but in others MR was plan stooopid. HTH :moo:

There were also two Nestle Pure Life water on a table near Rafferty's bed. Cap is translucent, partially see through.

Scoyne describes a Oxycodone bottle with prescription made out to Rafferty

Rafferty's room had 3 unlabeled empty pill bottles. Also had water bottles similar to ones McC alleges he used to wash himself after murder

One of the pill bottles seized was for Oxycontin. Prescription was in #Rafferty's name

A prescription Rafferty had for oxycontin and oxycodone. Filled December 28th, 2008.

Rafferty leaning on the back wall of prisoners box. Just sighed.

Showing photos taken in Rafferty's basement. No significant items were found there, Scoyne says. No more questions.

RaffertyLFP: Crown finishes questions; 20 minute recess.

could show that MTR provided the water and that there was a plan...to wash the scene.:twocents:

Has anyone found any information about SKU numbers? I was unable to find anything that shows whether they are different on every single item, or the same for job lots and how often they are changed at the factory.

More importantly, why was the date on the Walmart receipt not mentioned? That, to me, is very significant. I hope the defence will bring this up.

As for the "Missing" posters for Tori: There must have been literally thousands of those floating around Woodstock and vicinity by then. I would bet that half the homes in town had one or more. I fail to see where this could be evidence of anything except that both TLM and MTR were aware of the disappearance ... as was everyone else in town.

except he doesn't work or go to school...<modsnip>!:twocents:

In Rafferty's own make-believe-world he is:

-Contractor
-Landscaper
-worked a better beef in Guelph
-Dance Instuctor
-was said to be in college working towards a Veterinary Assistant
-Caretaker (for his Mother) & TLM's Mother
-Possible drug traffic
-As MR stated in the LE interview, he also worked at Glen Abbey.
-And I believe he was a chef, trained at George Brown.
-working under the table

Why would he and TLM have posters of Tori and why does he have a list of furniture he has to give to Carol???

Missing posters were handed out by police during their initial house to house canvass of the south side of the city. There was also a day where friends and family of Victoria's stopped traffic on the main street and handed out posters to people driving by.

I don't remember if the ones found in MR and TLM's house are the same as those mentioned above, it's possible.

It wasn't his house, and there's a good chance the hammer going missing would have been noticed.

except he doesn't work or go to school...<modsnip>!:twocents:

The fact that he was unemployed, would explain why he was living at home, he couldn't afford rent. As Ardy said, it's not uncommon for adult children to live at home. There are many reasons why adult children return home when they had moved out previously.

RaffertyLFP: Trial resumes with more Crown questioning of Scoyne; going back to the contents of McClintic's iPod.

The jury is returning.

Carnegie wants to ask a couple more questions. Derstine has no issue with that. Neither does Heeney.

#Rafferty lived with his mother in Woodstock

Trial resumes with more Crown questioning of Scoyne; going back to the contents of McClintic's iPod.

Showing the list of songs found on McClintic's iPod. iPod wasn't examined until a few days ago.

Police also find a Wal-Mart receipt for two boxes of hair dye purchased on Apr11, 2009

I haven't heard. Has Rafferty's mother been there?

How did he get a prescription for Oxy in his own name? Forged prescription? Or did he actually get one from a doctor?

  • #139
Scoyne showing the jury where Rafferty's home was on a map of Woodstock. Also labeling some other Woodstock schools.

Well mine which looks almost exact to that one has replacement blades you undo the screw and pop in the new blade and then put the screw back in.
