I think she confessed and he didn't because she's quite a bit less delusional than him.

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said the only reason for removing Tori's clothes was sexual assault

Mike Knoll: Many people are asking about Rafferty's demeanor. I just got back to the LFP newsroom from the courthouse - while I was in court Rafferty rolled his eyes a number of times and was mouthing words I couldn't determine (things perhaps like 'Bulls---') seemed a bit more fidgety than in the past; taking his glasses on and off and such.

That makes you blind to your surroundings - intensely focused on just what you are doing - not the scenery around you.

Salem

I realize that. She claims she went into a rage AFTER MR was done with Tori. She had plenty of time to take in her surroundings in that time.

(not meaning to yell, just trying to emphasize)

I think TLM and MR are both where they need to be right now: facing the music for what they have done to Victoria Stafford.

There is no greater than less than in a crime like this.

He is nervous. He knows what's coming IMO.

AveryFreeFMNews #Rafferty rolls his eyes as Gowdey reads McClintic's testimony about the alleged sexual assault.

...wow rolling eyes again

I don't know.....If I were charged with this serious offence, rolling my eyes would not be an appropriate response if I were innocent. The fact that he is repeating the same action almost signals a guilty person covering up his crime.

I wonder what body language experts would say about this.MOO!

She was arrested because she breached the probation order which was part of her sentence for stabbing a man.

She is in prison because she was seen on the CASS video abducting TS.

The neighbors identified her. TS informed the police about her.

She could confess or go to trial.

<modsnip>............and she would be found guilty anyways.

So she tried to make a deal...........and took whatever she managed to get.

JMO............

Do you have a link for the bolded part? I don't remember anywhere in the testimony that indicated that TLM pled because she was afraid of the hammer. Her lawyer would have been privy to the discovery of the Crown and would have known that there was no hammer - so this statement is inconsistent with the testimony as we know it.

And - she had every right to go to trial - just like MR - whether she would be found guilty or not. She could have really turned this into a he said/she said - blaming every little thing on MR. MR should be greatful that she chose not to do that - because then it would have been a real spitting match, in my opinion.

I wonder if she did not want a trial because the gang connection would be investigated further ...

Exactly.
I hate coming across as though I am defending TLM, because I'm not. She is obviously a vile and despicable murdered. But, she didn't take a deal. I'm not sure why people seem to think she did. She plead guilty. She plead guilty to first degree murder and is in jail for the maximum amount of time afforded under Canadian law. I don't see that as trying to get out of anything, or not taking responsibility for what she did.

I don;'t fault MR for pleading not guilty and going to trial. That is a right afforded to accused persons in Canada. Based on the information we have, I think he should also be sentenced to the maximum.

The only team I am on is Team Victoria.

I think TLM just knew she was caught and there was no getting out of it. She eventually surrendered.

Rafferty helped in killing, Crown says

Rafferty was no bystander in death of Tori Stafford, Crown tells jury in closing
Read it on Global News: Global News | Rafferty was no bystander in death of Tori Stafford, Crown tells jury in closing

Michael Rafferty and former girlfriend Terri-Lynne McClintic "were in this together, together they are guilty," Crown Attorney Kevin Gowdey says.

Beginning what he said would be two days of final argument to convict Rafferty for the 2009 murder of eight-year-old Victoria (Tori) Stafford, Gowdey reminded the jury any kidnapping or sexual assault that leads to death requires a first degree murder conviction

MO If there was ever any doubt in the Jury that's gone now. That rolling eyes was pure suicide.

Her imaginary gang connection?

It isn't imaginary ... Her friend ks and her brother JS are gang members ...

My friend is in drug rehab. Does that make me a druggie? Sorry, I don't get your point. It would be helpful if you provide links to back up your statements if true that TLM is/was in a gang. Not her friend nor her friend's brother but TLM herself. TIA

ETA: Nevermind the link. It has nothing to do with this trial.

Here's my feeling.....after the judge instructs I give it maximum 4-6 hours of deliberations before they convict this sicko on all charges. I think it will only take that long because there are probably 1 or 2 that won't be too logical and need to be reminded how to think. JMO
