How absolutely disrespectful - whether he is guilty or not. To roll your eyes at this point, at this description. His lawyer should reach through that glass and give him a good smack for forgetting his manners, in my opinion.

Salem

perhaps they should call his mother back and she can give him a smack; better still send Tori's mom in to give him a smack! MOO

In police audio interview, #Rafferty doesn't mention Tori Stafford by name, says "that girl went missing"

On the tape, Rafferty mentions a friend who's daughter was friends with Tori. Shows the missing persons poster Rafferty had in his home

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey says Rafferty claims he barely knew McClintic 'willing to say anything" did not share any info with police about Tori

I believe he was the mastermind and that he was prepared... He was prepared for an abduction and a sexual assault, he wasn't prepared to murder a child.
When TLM came back with an older child he made the decision that she would have to be killed. Maybe a child of 4 or 5 would be easier (please excuse my bluntness) to rape and release somewhere and they not be caught, but a child Tori's age can describe them, give details about the car, tell exactly what happened.

I think too that when Tori was brought into the car she was asked her name, and maybe she spoke of her parents, I think when TLM made the connection of knowing Tara she realized too little Tori would have to be killed, that this wasn't just going to be a sick sexual fantasy brought to life... This was huge and there was no turning back now.

MR had his funds for drugs/gas no extra for murder weapons because he sure wasn't going to use anything of his own.

This is all just my opinion.

maybe his thing was watching her do it MOO

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey "he wanted to throw police off the trail" - could have done the right thing even if he was not the mastermind

Rafferty tried to throw police "as far off the trail as he could" Gowdey says.

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said Rafferty was "dancing around the questions" from police - he want to lead, to be in control He was a capable liar

Rafferty, if he was innocent, had the perfect opportunity to tell police. Rafferty told them he was a dancer, "danced around the questions"

She didn't get a deal, she has nothing to loose by telling the truth.

yes and Det Smythe told her that...that she already had the biggest charge; she wouldn't be in more trouble telling the truth. MOO

McClintic's decision to plead guilty came about after discussions that lasted for months, LeRoy said.

"We discussed at length many times the proper way to proceed. We came to the decision together.

What do people suppose they were discussing for months?

Oh and this.........no deal?

She is not in isolation in prison, is following the rules and taking counselling, LeRoy said.

McClintic will be eligible for for parole in 15 years under faint hope clause in the Criminal Code. may be factors helping her cause.

But none of those were made with that motive in mind, LeRoy says.

"None of that was act."

Even so, her client is young and believes "Some day I may have an opportunity to convince a board that I have learned from the biggest mistake of my life."

JMO............

None of that is a "deal" Ardy. Anyone sentenced to life can apply under the Faint Hope Clause, and it is a given that any inmate's "confession, cooperation with police and guilty plea" will be more favourable to them in that application, as opposed to someone who does not confess, cooperate or plead.

RaffertyLFP: Rafferty says he has gone to McClinitic's court hearings Doesn't do drugs himself

RaffertyLFP: Rafferty laughs and scoffs at suggestion he is McClinitic's boyfriend tells police he is just a friend

Rafferty told police he doesn't do drugs. Shows statement to undercover officer asking for oxy contin.

Rafferty said he and McClintic never had sex. Jury then sees photos from motel in Woodstock.

RaffertyLFP: Rafferty tells police he doesn't recognize anyone in CASS surveillance video

it would seem that TLM is not the only one that lies

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey says of Rafferty "the lies just roll off his tongue"

Rafferty, if he was innocent, had the perfect opportunity to tell police. Rafferty told them he was a dancer, "danced around the questions"

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said jurors should ask why does Rafferty lie - He called McClintic right after police interview

Rafferty is a capable liar, Gowdey says. He made police believe McClintic was a bad person.

"If you find that he was lying, ask yourself why," Gowdey tells the jury. As soon as police left, Rafferty called Genest.

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey "he wanted to throw police off the trail" - could have done the right thing even if he was not the mastermind

Rafferty tried to throw police "as far off the trail as he could" Gowdey says.

And...the slam dunk

"If you find that he was lying, ask yourself why," Gowdey tells the jury. As soon as police left, Rafferty called Genest.

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey says McClintic testified that Rafferty asked her to "lay low" after police interview

McClintic implicated Rafferty after he ended their relationship, Derstine said. Gowdey says that the relationship was never ended.

Steven D'Souza ‏ @cbcsteve
Gowdey says interview shows #Rafferty chose to lie to police instead of fessing up. “The lies just roll off his tongue”

"Instead of opening up to the police he tried to throw them as far off the trail as he could." Gowdey says of #Rafferty interview w/ police

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said a search of McClinitic's home turned up oxycontin - Tara Macdonald's address, hair dye and the alibi book

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said the search also turned up Puma shoes that Rafferty gave McClinitic

Showing McClintic's notebook, filled with lies to tell the police. Also, letters from McClintic's inmate friend.

Focusing on evidence found in McClintic's home. Including Rafferty's Puma shoes.

I doubt we will be finished reading all the disclosure that was not realeased before the verdict is in. IMO will not take them long. Millhaven get MR a bed ready he's a comming...

MTR will have plenty of things comming his way there!!!!MOO!!!

Avery Moore ‏ @AveryFreeFMNews
The interview w/ #Rafferty plays with other video surveillance and photo evidence interspersed that is contrary to what he tells police.

Brilliant strategy by the Crown, in my opinion.

Steven D'Souza ‏ @cbcsteve
Gowdey jabs at #Rafferty's affinity for dance: "He was dancing around the questions the cops were asking him"

Steven D'Souza ‏ @cbcsteve
Crown taking court through items found in McClintic's home and what information they provide jury

Linda Nguyen ‏ @LindaNguyenPN
"The lies roll off his tongue," Gowdey says of #Rafferty's behaviour during police intvu

Steven D'Souza ‏ @cbcsteve
Crown says no smoking guns found in McClintic's home but evidence backs up much of what she testified

RaffertyLFP: Gowdey said a search of McClinitic's home turned up oxycontin - Tara Macdonald's address, hair dye and the alibi book
