The prior run away attempts are troubling. My daughter (who is currently spooned up against me with her tablet between her and my back lol) would NEVER run away or even go outside without telling me and we live on 70 acres with no neighbors! She’s scared to go get a soda from the garage fridge after dark. I simply cannot imagine her trying to run away, or something in her life being bad enough to even think like that. Bless Athena’s little heart. I have a feeling she’s seen and felt things little girls should never encounter.

Even if they found anything tonight, wouldn’t they wait till daylight to move anything ? Thinking they would tie it off and wait.
Why? They have flashlights, searchlights and portable worklights. Pretty sure they're not scared of the dark, and wouldn't leave evidence laying around to be chewed on by coyotes just so they can wait until after breakfast to process it.

Regarding the claim of the child running away before, who stated that? Stepmom?

From what I understood the mom and aunt only said Athena was afraid of the dark and cold and it would be very unlike her to run away. They never said anything about her running away before either.

I just want to correct a comment I made. I thought this was happening in Pasadena Tx, not Paradise. The weather there is completely different than here in Houston. Sorry. I will wear my glasses after taking my contact out from now on.

Fort Worth is where the dad was, yes?

This is what I think as well. No 7 year old with a normal family home would run away. They are very young.
Or they would come back quickly… like maybe they are mad and want to show someone but they would turn around, IMO anyways…

I would expect that LE has investigated whether any workmen, repair people, delivery men, others, were at the house in the recent past.

Also...any wells on the property. Septic tank?

I agree. Very unusual that a small child would run from the home.
Unfortunately, I think that's exactly what happened.

Please God let this girl be found alive. I don't want to watch the presser.

A 10 PM press conference is definitely not just a run-of-the-mill “we are continuing to investigate” update.

My understanding is that she once walked herself to school (a short distance, from bio moms house) while bio mom was taking a quick morning shower but running late. It seems like others have latched on to this and it’s turned into “a history of running away” MOO

I'm going to hope she's alive. Hopefully someone hid her so they didn't have to give her to mom.
