She said she was on the 4th level of the parking garage. 5th level is not covered. Parking garage has 5 levels.
The complex has a total of 5 stories. Lobby and floors 1 - 4. 1 - 4 are apartments.
Yup, makes sense. 4th is the last level of apartments. I still want to say that the parking garage on the 4th may have a slightly different layout. Also, someone mentioned that she may had to park on a different level. If that's the case, I can almost be certain, she knew where she parked. Sometimes there isn't parking in front of my place and i'm always so salty about it lol .. I swear to you, I once wrote an anonymous letter to the office staff stating how much it was bullsh** that when I get home from work, I have to park dang near 3 buildings down and how dangerous it was. lol - I was hot. That is when I worked 3-11 shift and there was never parking. So to a point, I could see her having to park somewhere else but I don't think she would have forgot that quick because she was tired. If anything, she was probably pissed. Imagine having to walk with all that in your hands and can't walk directly to your apartment from the garage.

I just can't get past how quickly she went for her gun, and shot a man. Unless he was coming at her, I just can't understand why this situation seemed like an appropriate time for lethal force. Especially when she states she shot him in the dark.

She could have walked away, when she identified a man in "her" apartment.

There were other options than to shoot an unarmed man in the dark. I wonder if her service record can be reviewed, other situations where she also demonstrated poor judgment.

Aside from the regular tox screening, I want this woman tested for anabolic steroids, growth hormone, the works. Steroid use would not show up in regular tox screening; this would have to be special testing and it should be done now before that cr*p starts leaving her system. (*If* she is taking anything). I'd be interested in hearing her natural speaking voice to see if there were any signs of virility present that could be accounted for potentially by steroid usage.
Excessive use of steroids can result in psychosis, and yes, roid rage. I want her tested for roids.

Amateur opinion and speculation only.

Arraignment for a non-felony charge with no indictment???
Bond can be set by the jailor that books them in. Some of the city lockups used to set bond and allow the detainee to bond out without having to wait for transfer to the sheriff's Dept. I don't know if that has changed since I worked there. Some of those arrested may have had outstanding warrants or may have been on probation or parole which would absolutely require transfer to Tarrant County.

Which just made me think - fits my two theories on what I think happened.
From the beginning i've stuck with what I personally though. I've always been back and forth between manslaughter/murder.

Manslaughter - She truly was at the wrong apartment, she tried to get in, he heard her and opened the door. She got scared and shot. I do not believe that door was ajared for the life of me. Although, I can't take out what witnesses said. Only excuse for that and don't kill me but maybe the yelling they heard was really verbal commands followed by shots and not really "let me in" - and please don't take that as I think she's innocent. She's not, i'm just going off of what I think is possible. She could have already been on edge and walking in a parking garage at night with no cameras. (or maybe they do, we don't know) Even though she's a cop, she probably fears it which is why it's important to make sure the ones on the police force are not afraid like that. But I remember I would run to my upstairs apartment when I had to park far away, I was shook. lol

Interesting as I am sure early on I read published info referring to her as an 115 pound cop. Her booking documents say 130 pounds. Her face also looks fuller than the few older pix available.

From the link above, it sounds like the police and courts are just dragging their feet, delaying any hearings for them. They moved some of them to Tarrant County Jail, just because. Not surprising, it is Texas after all.

Some of the cities around this area (Dallas) have city jails. Party is booked into the city jail, then moved to the county jail. That's how it's been done for years and years. Nothing out of the ordinary for them to be transferred to Tarrant County jail.

because that part was long, i'll just do my other theory.
Murder - Because she had just got off from work from a long shift and was tired, already annoyed that she had to park on the 4th floor so that pissed her off, hears music. Annoyed by this, she goes up to confront him. Bangs on the door, let me in as the witnesses claimed. He opens the door because its an officer and .. yea thats where my story stops lol because I don't get why she would do that but most of that fits the story or makes logical sense. If thats the case, she went up with her service weapon regardless and that changes it up a little because now she took her gun up with her. But why would anyone shoot them for music? thats why I would have to have more proof for a murder charge. I don't like the fact of charging her right now with murder. I need that 'Ah ha' moment.

So why were they sent to the wrong jail to begin with?

They were arrested in Arlington and went to that city jail first. Then will be transferred to Tarrant County jail. Arlington is in Tarrant County.

That's how it's done here (Dallas) area if there is a city jail. Booked there, then transfer to county.

You must have travelled down the same rabbit hole I did. I found out about the Shaver case and saw the video while reading an article about this case.

But the author was correct the jury will be quicker to let Officer Amber Guyger off than just Amber Guyger. Emphasis needs to be placed on the fact that she wasn't "on the job" at the time.

And that he would have no reason to think police were entering his apartment...no disturbance, no one had called 911 etc...he, like me, would have had no f@#$&*g idea who, or why, there was an armed person coming in through his door.

Do they commonly arrest people in Texas then deny them their right to stand before a commissioner, magistrate, clerk or judge to make determination as to if they pose a flight risk so a bail amount can be determined AND SET if they are not allowed to be released on their own reognizance?

From what I read about 9 arrested, no bail has been set for 24 plus hours. I personally believe that is a violation of their US Constitutionally assured rights. I've not read Texas' constitution although I'd bet it confers more rights than the US's does.

I do not believe they can legally deny you a bail reduction hearing after requested any more than say, maybe 48 hours for petty charges? Have bail amounts even been set? Holding on petty charges without timely setting of bail should result in filing in district court just as denial of a bail reduction hearing should.

I am not learned and studied in Texas criminal procedure and only with some notions of how their system is structured.

Moved from where to Tarrant County Jail?

How many total? How many moved?

All will be moved from Arlington lock up to the Tarrant County jail. That happens to every prisoner.

I also want to point out the fact that the elections are coming up and Faith Johnson (DA) is running again. Normally, it shouldn't matter and I am not sure what the demographic of her voters were. But I can imagine, this is going to be one of those things that she'll have to be smart about.

Keep in mind that the difference between manslaughter and murder is intent.

Yeah, but if he had shot back at her, I wonder how that would of played out. We already know. Lol

Merritt compared the time the nine have spent in jail, nearly a day for a Class B misdemeanor, to the time Amber Guyger was behind bars after turning herself in to the Kaufman County Jail for the killing of Jean.

“She sat there for a few hours on a manslaughter charge. I mean somebody was killed and then bonded out with not a whole lot of fanfare,” Merritt said.

State Senator Royce West (D-Dallas) said he understands the frustration, but cautions that justice requires patience.

“Don’t expect this to come to trial tomorrow because it’s not we know exactly how long it took for Roy Oliver to come to trial and that’s exactly what’s gonna happen here but we will not forget Botham Jean,” West said.

How can I word this without being rude ?? She's only 30. I am 28 and most of my friends are around that age. She looks a little bit older to me and anytime someone looks older from my hometown especially, its due to drugs. Now she's either working her A** off and not getting enough sleep or ... ?? I am not trying to be rude, i'm just being honest.
