Family tells us Adriana's dad was a carpenter & her mom stayed at home. Adriana is their only child #KHOU11 #HouNews https://t.co/cn2c6tS6Rf

MORE: Family tells us Adriana was born in Mexico & only lived in Houston area for around 2 years #KHOU11 #HouNews https://t.co/sdc8IhHDVk

It's all previously reported information. She's tweeting it as if it's related to the meeting that is taking place w/ her family right now, but that stuff was reported on yesterday or the day before.

This link has good information about today's press conference and video of the entire presser:

http://montgomerycountypolicereport...ic#flw_c=email&flw_n=56eb268290b4bd6e9a3e8236

Info I hadn't heard yet: the dad picked up his daughter in Katy early Saturday morning (doesn't say where exactly) & LE discovered his body around noon on Sunday. Then LE responded to the truck fire on Sunday night. It says he ran down the alley to a U-haul dealership where it is believed he got into a dark colored SUV and fled.

I just watched the presser again and they said there are other videos that will be released that they are still working on and they will include footage from several other commercial buildings. They also said there were multiple crime scenes (which sounds like more than just two, IMO).

And for anyone else who has watched the footage of the scene where the body was found, it's clear that the body was burned at that location because the rear of the building was burned as well... but what exactly do you think those mattresses (at least, that's what they look like to me) are doing off to the side of the woods next to where the body was found? Do you think they're related to this crime scene or that they were probably just dumped there prior to this crime?

I'm sooo confused. This tweet shows the fire department putting out the TRUCK fire next to the woods/building where mattresses are seen... This whole time I thought those woodsy pics were where his body was found.

Burning truck in Conroe tied to missing girl, father’s death https://t.co/v49w1U9fkA #AmberAlert https://t.co/OvrDe5cpC4

Maybe that's why they dumped them in separate places. It's harder to piece the puzzle together when the individual pieces are scattered all over the place.

ETA: so the mattresses were probably just dumped there and makes more sense why they would be... if this is the location near the U-haul dealership.

It looks like the guy may have a discrepancy in the length of his legs, that his right leg is longer, or he has a lower back/hip problem. It's more evident that he's rolling his right hip when he slows to a walk and is on even ground.

In the latest press conference, did LE say anything along the lines of "keep an eye out for AC"? I'm not reading anything like that. Why doesn't there seem to be urgency to locate her? What does LE know?

I have an neurological condition called drop foot from nerve damage and muscle problems. He kinda looks the way I walk so I don't want to trip over my feet.

Since I'm spanish speaking I'm able to watch spanish news too and the latest Univision interview which was today here in Houston (Yes she's back but staying at a relatives house) she's now saying her husband would have conversations on the phone like arguing with someone and when she would ask what's wrong? He would reply nothing don't get in my business. Why didn't she say that from the start? She first said her husband had no enemies that she could think of... not blaming the mom at all just not a smart move to be saying one thing one day and a different thing the next? Also why don't I see any tears? Idk. I only pray for the safe return of adriana.

I do think mom knows something. However, watch her interview without sound. I do that when mannerisms and speech don't line up. She is very much distraught and trying to hold it together, she looks in shock as well.

Some thoughts: I think the location of the truck fire could possibly be some kind of red herring (north/south) since it is after the father's discovery if I'm understanding the time line correctly. Also, exiting at Loop 336 might have been convenient, off the freeway, but with some cover, circularly navigational? Also, maybe the vehicles were following each other, the vehicle picking up the pyro waited close by, but out of view, so as to not risk be seen driving away from the blaze?

Thanks everyone for the map, updates, etc.

Not looking good for Adriana, I'm afraid.

@ 1:36 min in it looks as though he's wearing glasses.

I thought so, too, but I wasn't sure.

I can imagine since he was in the truck before burning it, he called someone - in the dark SUV - to come pick him up. I don't believe that 2nd person was at the IHop because that is on the other side of the interstate. (But someone over there may have seen the fire and then the SUV.) There is a Chevron station to the south and numerous businesses both north and south that would have been closed where the 2nd person could have parked. There is also an apartment complex that backs up to the burning truck and the U-Haul. Someone in a bedroom may have seen the fire and drawn to the window and saw the SUV.

You guys tread lightly when it comes to Adriana's mother and what she knew and didn't know. She could have been completely in the dark about her husbands outside activities. It's a cultural thing.

Back in the mid 90's, I dated and was married to a girl for about 5 years. Her father was Mexican and her mother was Italian. She easily could have passed for Selma Hayek's twin sister. Both of her parents were legal citizens, but they were deeply ingrained in the latin culture. Around their house, the man went out and made the money, and the woman stayed home and raised the kids and kept the house clean. Their worlds didn't collide. How the father made money, who is friends were, and who his girlfriends were, was none of the mothers business, and he reminded her of that constantly. His world revolved around bravado and machismo, and the wife and kids were ruled with an iron fist and rarely protested.

She had two brothers that were close to my age, and both of them were a carbon copy of their dad. Short tempered bullies, both of them were constantly on the take to make an easy buck and they treated their girlfriends like hell. My wife's dad (at the time) had a couple of kids outside of his inner family with other women. I never heard his wife mention it a single time, although she clearly knew.

I actually think her family had a lot to do with our subsequent breakup and divorce, because I really couldn't stand to be around them for long. Her brothers didn't like me because I was a white guy in the midst of a mexican culture, and me and the two of them had a couple of fist fights here and there due to it, I kid you not. My wife liked me because I didn't treat her like dirt in the same way that her Dad and brothers treated women. Regardless of her loyalty, I finally grew tired of being in the middle of the whole mess and opted to move on down the road. There were other things involved as well, but that also factored into it. When I was growing up, my parents didn't treat each other like that, and I really didn't like watching it. That may have also been where a lot of the friction played in when I was interacting with them.

All that said, I have no doubt that Adriana's mother could have been completely in the dark about her husbands outside activities. I've witnessed how that kind of thing works firsthand. I suspect there may be some users of latin descent that come out of the woodwork and start slamming me for my comments here, but keep in mind, this was my experience and my observation during that time of my life. It doesn't necessarily apply to everyone and every family.

Been there, live through it. Whole hearty agree.

Good find. This convinces me more than ever that he lives close by. He knew that was a good hiding spot, unable to be seen from the main road. The surveillance cameras are going to be his undoing. Someone there in Conroe knows this guy, probably multiple people. He may have dropped off or picked up packages there at FedEx.
