Thanks for clarifying so maybe not advertising isn’t that suspicious. Every neighborhood has a select group of annoying busybodies who appoint themselves as enforcers of their self made rules. I miss living in Atlanta but don’t miss neighborhood busybodies, my nearest neighbor now is nearly 1/2 mile away.
Agree! Your lucky. I’m outside “enjoying” the neighbors music which I despise.

The most “suspicious” part about the garage sale: Det. Ritchie has stated several times that Liz had a routine like clockwork, she would have already been on her way to work. On the road. It’s the timing.

Her mom also said she was so cautious she would check behind her coming in and out of the garage.

I'm wondering if they were waiting somewhere thinking she was going to leave and they were going to follow her. They did park at the school for a time as well. Were they waiting for her to drive by. When she did not come by, they drove to the house and found her in the driveway doing a garage sale and decided to do it there. Just one of my many theories of how this might have gone down.

They are at the school a mere 10 seconds.

She wouldn't have been driving by at that time on a normal workday. Detective Ritchie said Liz was a creature of habit. Normally she would have already left the house. She got to work at the same time every day.

They also had that opportunity when she left for Starbucks an hour earlier; yet they arrive more geared to Sergio's departure.

It's no coincidence the killer chose a day when not only Liz schedule was different but Sergio's too. LE has said multiple times they must have known about the garage sale.

They KNEW too many key details that they planned for. The plan was to kill her at the house. IMO

Here we are over four (4) years later... Does this not make you angry? Why is Liz's killer still out there? moo

I get upset every time I think about Elizabeth-- and I can't help but wonder why this case is no closer to being solved than it was the day the murder occurred. I am of the opinion in cold cases that they usually go cold because slight details are overlooked and details are also missed. I hope there is a cold case unit looking at this case. There are just too many clues for this case to go unsolved. I mean, for God's sake they have the murder on video and the vehicle on video as well. SMH

I’d be very interested to know if SG attempted to call Liz after the alarm went off. We know her parents called her on their way there but what was SGs reaction to the alarm?

I still wonder about the truck that was stopped by LE very soon after the shooting. Why was it quickly cleared by the one person who stopped the truck? Did any other LE follow up later with that, visit the driver for additional questioning, do more digging as to why that person was in the area at that time?

I think they need new investigators with fresh eyes to relook at everything from the beginning. Kind of like the Delphi case seemed to have the right info early on but it was ignored or overlooked. I feel the same way with this case. Imo.
As you know it's possible that the truck may have been looked at later and not actually cleared. I often wonder if person of interest * in Miami relates to the truck pull over? We just don’t know.

However, I completely agree with your post. New eyes wide open with an open mind and with common sense would do wonders for Liz's case. A new analysis of the first 15/20 pages of investigation report and most likely answers are all right there. Focus on the overlooked details, perhaps consider an oversight at the time, thought previous information unimportant, reevaluate and reinterview witnesses.

Additionally, it’s been recently learned about a * gunshot being fired at Liz’s place of employment not long before her murder - how does that incident correlate with the murder?

Speculation, moo

Edited: included * in Miami and gunshot

Another post about the set up of the garage sale on the driveway. I’m not familiar with garage sales so maybe this is meaningless; however, it appeared the arrangement locked Liz in with a couple of tables and a treadmill, but I could be wrong. moo

Regarding the truck, I am leaning more toward the truck being from out of state. In viewing video, I’ve not seen a registration (TX) sticker displayed.

Speculation of course!

Edited: Clarification

  • Liz was an organ donor. She gave her heart, liver and both kidneys. Her corneas were also gifted.
  • Liz’s organ recipients spent a total of 8,144 days on the transplant lists.

Elizabeth seemed like a very kind person.

I hope they catch the killer(s), no matter how long it takes.

From previous WS cases and true crime cases, I have a theory on the path this leads to but proving it is an entirely different story.

Speculation! I notice the incident/investigation report marked "case status closed." The status would have been within a week of Liz's murder - Am curious if LE already know who the killer is but possibly lacks enough evidence to bring a case to trial? The public's help will solve this case and I suspect more information is needed. A tip needs to be called in - someone knows something. Of course this is speculation. Moo

I've seen this mentioned on other social media as well and was so confused why anyone would think it was closed. They hold annual press conferences each year with Crimestoppers and the Sherriff's office.

I get it now. I see where you are reading closed.

Harris County Constables do not handle murder cases. The Harris County Sheriff's Office does.

The Constables were the first on the scene (they are patrol units among other duties). They did the preliminary incident/investigation report. It then became a HOMICIDE investigation (assigned new case number).

IT IS IN THE REPORT ON PAGE 5 AND PAGE 15

It is an active case; I wish it was closed, solved and justice served.

EDITED TO ADD: yikes! my post takes up the whole thread  and yes, it is my opinion they likely know who is behind the murder but have not identified all parties involved or are not confident they have enough evidence to secure a conviction.

The decision to charge is ultimately up to the Harris County DA. The DA office is reeling from the third re-trial of AJ Armstrong, they might be hesitant. Like AJ's case, Liz's will likely be based on circumstantial evidence barring a cooperating co-conspirator. You now have an alternate "suspect" situation since Sergio has named his dad (if his dad is not the one charged that is a huge problem). Any good defense team will run with that.

It was a "her", the husband mentioned as a single enemy of his wife, interesting to know.

While sitting in the patrol vehicle, SB had no interest for Liz' condition and no interest to follow to the hospital; he didn't ask.

It also seemed to specifically imply that the “her” is also in 501st Legion.

Yes.. she’s in the incident report BUT more interesting to me is by the time of Paula Zahn interview; Sergio is adamant that no one from 501st is involved. LE agrees.

Then BAM he names his Dad…

Le then states after investigating Dad they have not identified any other possible suspects.

They basically rule out coworkers and
501st on the show.

My understanding is that no one has been ruled out. It was stated that Liz's co-workers were cleared, but LE can change that information. moo
