IMO, if BD were to take another polygraph, I would hope it is given by the FBI instead of the local PD. I wonder if she can request for the FBI to do it instead of this Matt guy.

Just so she can make sure that it is administered by a highly trained professional who knows what they are doing. If she were to fail the second one, then well...

(FWIW, I also think everyone who was previously tested should also be re-tested by the FBI, just as a precaution. It's strange that so many people would fail, unless of course... everyone really did fail the first one.) I think it would give more insight into who's being untruthful and CCPD will have a better idea of where to go from there...

I don't think she should take one at all. I do not trust them, especially in a case like this. This poor woman hasn't been able to eat and sleep properly, she is emotionally drained. How could any LDT be accurate under her circumstances. If she "fails" again, it is doubtful that it will give them the answers they need to bring Hailey home. I also am disturbed by all the negative innuendos thrown out by police about BD. That they would deny that she was told by them she didn't pass the poly makes me question them. I do not believe that she would lie publicly about this. Someone connected to LE had to hint at or tell her she didn't pass. They are also subjective tests. Maybe this Matt who gave it to her was biased against her and he told her she was "deceptive" or that it was inclusive.......JMO

The only scenario I can think of where HD might be in hiding and scared to come home would be if she is/has been carrying on a relationship with someone 18 or over and was with him that night and used MB as a cover.

When she didn't come home on Wednesday before her family realized that she had not stayed at MB's and the police were called, that would have put the 18 or over boyfriend in a pretty precarious position I would think.

If LE are made aware of a relationship like that, due to a missing persons investigation, do they automatically charge the boyfriend? After that wouldn't he be a RSO?

Maybe by putting pressure on the family and using the press to make them look guilty of something, when they might not have any clue about this relationship, it might guilt her into coming forward rather than sticking by the boyfriend? 13 year olds can really be influenced by older persons who claim to "love" them IMO.

Just another angle to ponder.

:seeya: Thanks, Wise. As a Middle School teacher myself, I can't quite see how this whole assembly thing will go. With this age group, the strategy is usually "divide & conquer." Another poster suggested that perhaps during the presentation, LE will be scrutinizing the kids for hinky reactions, behaviors, etc. Could be.

It appears to me from what we read that these kids run around very freely in this town. I guess it's a different lifestyle since I live in the suburbs of 2 very large cities IDK.

Uh..yes. That would have been the first thing I did if a classmate of one of my kids has gone missing. Did you know her? Did you see her? When was the last time you talked to her? You were with her, when? Where?.......I'm sure parents all over CC have been grilling their kids...why the delay in reporting from these 2 girls I will never understand...JMO.

there is a different atmosphere here than in a big city, i grew up in a big town and moved here when i was older teens. Theres no way i would let my child,even as a teen, go walking in a bigger town, but here if mine was a teen i would of. I have on many occasions seen younger kids say 9 or 10 yrs old riding bikes down the street, and theres a place ive thot of calling in on many time cause theres a toddler out in the front yard with no parents just other kids. so yes we are alot more layed back.

I wouldn't bet on it. Billie's friend on here said the phone goes straight to voicemail now. That usually indicates the phone is off.

It seems to me what LE is doing then is illegal. How can a person who is NOT a POI have their phone confiscated by LE? It is obvious that they have "targeted" the parents from the beginning. Instead of HD and her parents being victims in this, it has been suggested by LE that they are the guilty parties, including HD!

LE is the one who searches for a missing person,mistrust of those who have no goal but to find a child?It's about the child and the parent should do everything asked,whether they want to or not.LE didn't lose the child,they're spending thousands looking for her.All they ask is honesty from friends and family,they are not the enemy and why would they want to set up anyone?Any parent of a missing child will be exhausted can't eat or sleep,but part of the process if having to go through the questions.

its cloudy and cold, for us anyways, but my phone says its 40 and feels like 34, no moisture falling yet but it looks like it can be possible. not 100%about the searches today. but im sure they have some planned.

Yep,BD did say that's why she asked SA to leave the house and LE can say whatever they want knowing more than we do about the case.However the family has to be truthful to LE while an investigation is going on about thier missing child.And I also would like to say that eight days later BD was still saying SA came home from work on NG knowing he had been fired that morning.So from the beginning on a missing person case,family and friends need to be honest with the public and LE so it will not look suspicious.

It was stated that SA did go to his place of employment that day. Just because he left there early or quit after arriving does not mean he didn't go there or "leave work". That may be why she said it this way.

Yes, it seems LE is targeting the parents but yet continually update the press to say LE believes Hailey is a runaway and is "Hiding".

In that video I posted at 2:36 the cheerleading photo,it looks like her with bleached hair to the right.I'm wondering if it is her,they should show both those pics in case she's bleached her hair,that's if she ran away.I'm kind of torn if something happened to her before Monday night,but just saying.

LE only goal is to make sure Hailey comes home safely. If her family won't be honest with them, LE assumes that they know something about her disappearance, whether that is true or not. LE does NOT like to be lied to about anything.

My best advice to anyone in a missing person situation is to tell LE everything, be upfront and honest, because if they find out you're lying about one thing, they think you are lying about EVERYTHING. I've been in a missing person situation before. My BIL was missing and presumed drowned, and his girlfriend lied to LE about everything. Trust me, they weren't happy with her and sent her home and never spoke to her again. But, that a whole other story....
