The New Years Eve party is what really blows my mind! What does one say to their guests when your daughter is missing during the time you are hosting a party I wonder? What do the guests think about it? How in the world were they able to keep all this under wraps?
ITA it frosts my cookies.

Thing is - WHO would go to a New Year's Eve party like that? Like you said - what would you say? I don't think it would be too fextive. We had a New Year's Eve Party here and tons o fun - but not if my DD was missing and everyone that was here certainly wouldn't have been to festive - if they would have come at all.

perhaps he is a compulsive liar, and can't help himself. idk.
Perhaps his work sight was elsewhere, and he couldn't figure out how to get there so he thought he got fired because he decided to go visit his mom instead. Most folks would get fired for walking off the job after being there 10 minutes.....
moo

But the article that I just posted said that he wasn't fired, that he was a good employee...let me get the link again..

One inconsistency in Adkins’ statements involved his employment on Dec. 27. Adkins told investigators that he was fired that day, but authorities contacted the employer, who said that Adkins was a good employee and that he hadn’t been fired.

Nevertheless, Adkins left his place of employment at 6:10 a.m. on the morning of Dec. 27 and told investigators that he went straight to his mother’s house in Big Spring. However, cell phone records indicate that Adkins’ cell phone was in contact with cell towers in Scurry County from 6:35 a.m. until 6:56 a.m., during the time when he said he was traveling to Big Spring.

I'm still puzzled by the last few sentences in this article..It just stops..What in the world did Hailey's brother walk in on?

On the afternoon of Dec. 27 at about 4 p.m., Hailey’s brother DD returned home.

According to his father, Clint Dunn, DD arrived about 4 p.m. and pounded on the front door for about five minutes, and no one would let him in the door.

DD then let himself into the house through a window, where DD said he saw Adkins in a hallway with a “deer in the headlights look.”

I would love to know what happened after that and how long CD stayed at the house. Was Adkins surprised because someone was in the house or because he had something to hide?

Quote:
On the night before Hailey’s disappearance, her 16-year-old brother, D, indicated that when he left the house at 9 p.m., Hailey was playing one of his video games in the living room in the house. Based on her skill level with the game, D said he expected her to play probably until midnight.

http://www.ktxs.com/news/26459455/detail.html

The night they are talking about is Sunday night. Dec. 26. I'm pondering on the significance of this paragraph. It acknowledges that Hailey was alive and playing video games (probably the XBox). Its the sentence that states her "skill level" on the game and based on that her approximate play time to probably midnight.

Why would that be important? On Sunday night, Hailey was home playing XBox until at least midnight. Billie said she didn't work Sunday so all 3 of them were there - Hailey, SA and BD.

Thank you... I was thinking the same thing. If it wasn't significant, that it wouldn't have been in there, right? :waitasec:

The previous threats on family members' lives gets me even more. There's BD on NG talking about how HD had gotten comfortable with SA and it was all good "cuz she could now ask him for 10 bucks". Yeah, sounds like it was really comfy there...

Sadly, I scared to find out what did happen..it seems that every time you don't think a case can get any worse it does..and from the way this one has started out..well, I'm worried...If Hailey is gone, I hope and pray that she didn't know what was happening...
for some reason, I find myself thinking about the Canadian case, where the gf helped the bf, drug & rape, her little sister, who then ended up dying...horrible. The girl & guy, turned around & got married! & then committed more crimes.

Well it boes say that they both had an intense fascination. And we knew that Billie liked horror films from her myspace.

As for any woman NOT knowing about stuff in her house, I can't speak to. I'm a snoop. I'm a mom. You have to be in this day and age. You have to know what's in your house. If you don't - you're more then likely to get caught with your "pants down".

Point about this stuff here is Billie is listed as having this "fascination" along with SA - not that it was SA's "fascination only and Billie possibly didn't know about it.

I'm wondering if Hailey had found that "box". And that is why we've heard she said she was "scared" of SA. Remember Sa and BD were going to work all day and during Xmas break and days off school - Hailey was left in the house alone.

Shawn threatening the lives of Hailey and Billie in February probably scared her more than his fascination with horror films, which her mother shared so was not new to her. Having her life threatened was probably a new experience.

Months before his public intoxication charge, and prior to him moving in by all timelines. Drugs, threats of violence as the precursor the main event. Same ingredients, same outcome, all unique stories that are really all the same.

I think the time 6:35 - 6:56 is going to turn out to be VERYYYYYY important to this case.

I know there is more seemingly damaging information
in the documents just released.

I have to say that I do not think Billie is involved in the disappearance of her
daughter, Hailey.

I don't know the circumstances of her relationship with SA. I don't know if she knew about the masks and if she knew about the videos under the bed. I don't know. And I don't care.
I don't know if she uses drugs hard time. I don't know if she uses drugs on occasion. Don't know. Don't care.
I don't know and don't care about the ins and outs of her nursing license.
She has a job with the same employer.

Do I believe there was a big old New Year's Eve party at her house, when Hailey is missing? No, I don't. Maybe family and a couple of friends were over. Maybe SA invited friends in.

I care about her commitment to Hailey.
I care about her facing NG and answering questions on national tv, questions she didn't have to answer. She could have taken an easier way than facing up to the steel eyes and demeanor of NG.
I care that she faces intense public scrutiny and still tells all, 'paraphasing, that she was told she failed the lie detector test.

IMHO, Hailey was probably killed at the hands of SA,
just based on his time line and the many cases where mom's bf or step father have been guilty.

ot: cz: You are a wonderful friend to Billie.
Thank you.

bbm

He took her to work that morning. Scurry County is the next county over from there they live, and it's also where Billie works. So if he came home, got her, and took her to work, then it would make sense that both phones would ping there.

The odd thing is that Billie said she left her phone at home that day for the kids to use. But it wasn't at home. Unless SA took it without Billie's knowledge. LE knows where that phone was all day long, I'm sure.

She has stated she didn't have her phone that day and SA had access to it. Or if something did happen... maybe HD had it in her pocket? I guess I am just not ready to say BD is guilty over one article, especially when there has been so many different stories reported. IMO

Could someone do a short update so I don't have to read hundreds of pages. Did SA actually go to Big Spring that day or did he stay around town and just go to Snyder? We know the both of them were in town at the ATM later that evening, so if he did something, then it must have been between 6:30 am and 4:00 pm when the brother saw him inside the home.

Everyone please remember what is most important right now - finding Hailey. Please continue to pray for Hailey's safe return, and for God to keep His hand on Hailey and all those who love her.
