I agree...great find!!
Do we know if this was passed along to Carl?

With regards to my previous post regarding TNW Blog and after reading the older of his two WCJD posts I now think he is not LE, he appears to live in Walker County (or close by). He is critical of the way the local police have handled the case over the years and appears to have been discussing things with other locals and this is where his information comes from. Interesting.

Didn't the woman say that she wasn't in the yearbook?

That's right, she said that she knew her from junior high but that they didn't have year books in junior high. Then by high school she'd gone I think?

Concerning the night wind blog, it is for sure a great attempt and if the girl's identity they had found appears to be WCJD, we all will be extremely happy and relieved after years. I am not sure, if the blog is run by a single individual or whether there is a team which writes posts, but if you observe their other posts, they seem to write on conspiracy theories and similar rubbish. Taking this into account, can we consider the blog a reliable source? This worries me.

The blog is connected to PJ Media

I found a comment suggesting it's the wife of "Ex-Army" which is a now-defunct blog similar to Nightwind. The link to Ex-Army on that website now directs to PJ Media. Ex-Army can be read with the WayBack Machine. I would not consider this blog to be a reliable source of information. Some of the content they post is just...yikes.

Editing again: If the rumors are true, you can search Ex-Army and Baloo and figure out who is running this blog. If this blog is not the wife of Ex-Army, I'd still take it with a grain of salt given some of the statements made on the blog.

I'd consider it to be a promising lead, we also have the classmate tip.

The recent Facebook comments seem authentic and promising. There was also a post here a couple of weeks ago saying the forensic DNA lab Othram was going to proactively get involved with the case. This is huge, but their comment seems to have been largely overlooked.

This is really close, about 1 hour from our forensic lab. If anyone knows who is working the case and can make an introduction, let us know. Otherwise, we will reach out via the contact info in the DOE NETWORK record. Appreciate the heads up!

I also have been searching yearbooks online. The photos of girls I found with similarities to WCJD, were accounted for..I was trying to find Aransas Pass Junior High yearbooks online, but haven't seen any..One person online said they were going to try and scan the jr high yearbooks soon, but it's been about a year since that was posted.

If WCJD lived a transient type lifestyle, she may not have stayed in one place long enough to have her class photo taken, and may not be in any yearbook.

The classmate who said she knew her in school, seems honest and credible to me. Of course, it's a possibility she could have mistaken her for someone else, but I don't believe so(imo)because of the details she gave(other than forgetting her name)..I felt bad for her that people were being attacking her for that..It's been decades ago, it's easy to forget names, but remember other details. I can't remember names of everyone I went to school with, but I can see their faces, and remember other things about them..

The alleged classmate said the junior high didn’t have yearbooks. Obviously that’s just her say so but maybe there aren’t any out there to be found.

A lot of junior highs back then did yearbooks on the cheap. Might not be any of those left in circulation, sadly.

If any classmates remember this girl as being in and out of the foster care system, that might be a more credible tip.

The junior high school may not do year books, but it is possible there is a 'Class Of' graduation photo out there somewhere.

That's possible, did they take that for Jr's?

There is reference to a young girl named 'Nancy Villareal' as potentially being WCJD. This can be found on the fb page "You know you're from Aransas Pass if you remember... X

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any online photos of Jr. High graduation.

Nancy Villareal was suggested here before at least twice. I don't know if she was ever submitted.

Does anybody know if the given name is 'Nancy' at christening or is it a nickname for a particular name. I once knew a Nancy who turned out to be an Elizabeth. With no given middle name. I never understood it X

I have been researching some old Aransas Pass newspapers online, and found various photos of elem., jr high and high school students(mainly of them getting awards, sport team photos, fishing awards, etc). I saw a few that slightly resembled WCJD, but usually the age or something didn't add up. Plus it was hard to see the photos that well, because they were so grainy.

... I actually didn't mind looking through all these newspapers, ..loved seeing all the old ads for cars, clothing, and groceries!.. Cat food(no name brand listed, just "cat food", 4 cans for a dollar..lol, filet mignon was something like 3 dollars a pound! Some of the ads were hilarious( one was an ad for paneling walls, and the caption read, "How to please your wife") Lol!...Old Drive- In movie listings. for movies such as,"Jaws", "Bad News Bears"..Brought back a lot of nostalgic memories.

I am exactly the same when I start browsing.. fashion ads, household goods, you name it.. and the prices! I ended up feeling all nostalgic and so treated myself to a 'Made in the 70s' T shirt, only to have my Son point out my being almost a century old! sob sob! Haha X

Othram said they were going to reach out, they haven't claimed to actually have made headway with the agency. I know Carl reached out to the agency multiple times and he's with DDP; there seems to be complications with regard to WCJD's DNA or needing an exhumation or something, that's what I read in this thread awhile back
