I wondered about that, too, if CS's texts further enraged KA, but the timeline you provided seems to make that less likely. Great timeline, thanks for posting.
Honestly though, I think she was following or at the very least tracking him in some way, such as a Apple Tag or Tile. She already knew he had been lying to her and probably knew through biking circles MW was in town for the bike race. A great number of races post the participants by name on the event website. I am a cyclist and know for a fact.

edited for grammar.

I think you are totally right KA was likely tracking BOTH of them to some extent. IMO KA was WAY up in CS’s business and honestly I get the vibe he was somewhat afraid of her (the multiple texts after dropping off MW also have that vibe). In the affidavit CS is telling the police that he has had to change MW’s name in his phone because KA blocked her number, and that he was deleting texts from his phone to prevent KA from seeing them.

I bet she was tracking him to the hilt and somehow managing to see the supposedly private communications he had with MW. There is a also a text convo referred to in the affidavit between CS and MW taking place while at an event in January where what MW says indicates she is maybe blocked from texting him (“Hey! Sooo I would like to talk to you at some point. I had originally texted you on Friday but appears my texts aren't going through again…”) Then CS replies something that IMO makes it sound like KA was only along at the event for their trailer business.
Recall that January is also when the anonymous caller told police that KA found out about the relationship, was furious and shaking with anger, and said she wanted to kill MW and either had or was going to purchase a firearm.

MW also had a blog where she posted the upcoming biking events she had planned. That could have been a source of info on her whereabouts for KA.

In addition to that blog, and Strava, Instagram was another potential stalking mode. In the affidavit it refers to info from a friend of MW referred to by the pseudonym Jane: “Jane" stated Wilson told her
within the past two months, Armstrong began following Wilson on Instagram. "Jane" advised the last time Armstrong called Wilson, she told Wilson she was with Strickland and Wilson needed to stay away from him.

The affidavit says MW’s friend she was staying with in Austin picked MW up at the airport on May 10, the day before the murder, and then there is the Daily Mail source quoting an anonymous neighbor near the crime scene saying that KA was seen on home surveillance footage biking past on May 10 the same spot where her vehicle was seen the night of the murder. So potential stalking on May 10 as MW arrives in Austin.

And about 10 minutes before CS dropped MW off on May 11 and the apartment door was unlocked with MW’s code, KA’s vehicle was spotted on video footage near where MW was staying. (from affidavit: 8:26 PM - Armstrong's vehicle drives northbound on Maple Ave and then westbound on East 18th St)

If this ever goes to trial I predict the whole stalking aspect will be a big element. The initial info in the affidavit released so far is probably just a sliver of it.

"She’s now Christine Armstrong from New York instead of Kaitlin Armstrong from Texas," Jensen said. "That’s my professional opinion."

They certainly do look alike from the photo in the article.

Surprised we haven't heard anything more from KA's father.

Maybe he’s afraid if he speaks publicly he’ll draw attention to himself from US Marshals. MOO

In the interview, the Private Investigator says that the new driver's license in the state of NY was obtained on May 17th. LE will know where it was obtained, was it near Camp Haven? And was Camp Haven the address that was used to obtain the new license?

I bet LE are hot on the trail now that they have information on the potential new identity under which KA may be travelling, and if KA took a flight out of Newark International Airport, they may be closing in, even though KA got quite a headstart.

For an international flight, she would need a passport though, to go with a possible new drivers license in someone else's name if she is, in fact, using that. So I think she is more likely still in the U.S. somewhere.

If she has a passport to match the new drivers license, then someone else sure is in big trouble. But that would certainly get KA out of the country and perhaps on her way to Indonesia with a yoga mat strapped to her back.

Wow that PI Jason Jensen is BUSY in the media
I guess he sees an opportunity to get his name out there. So far, he’s succeeded.

He certainly is, and giving great info too! Surmising KA may have changed her appearance, and is probably using a burner phone and paying in cash rather than using her debit and credit cards... I sure hope he shared these thoughts with the US Marshals Service.

And she might be using a different name... genius

Seriously though, if she got a hold of some camping gear and she is the outdoorsy type, she could disappear in most of upstate NY for the summer and only need to see another human when she needed supplies. It's not a bad place to hide all things considered. And if she knows about a trailer parked somewhere that LE wouldn't necessarily trace, like one an step-uncle's brother's cousin's friend told her about... she could live there for years. There are places in rural NYS that you can be by yourself forever if you want to be.

And if she is the Brian Laundry type with that sort of plan, they may never find her.

I remember mentioning that to me, the woman in the airport did not appear like KA. But, if she is CA from NY now - did any A board the plane? (The sisters look quite similar).

They only said that there was no Kaitlin Armstrong in the flight passenger manifest. But presumably it wouldn’t be hard to find a CA too. But there’s been no updates from the US MARSHALS office.

Pondering the "Botox charges" and I wonder if it speaks to personality or principles of KA. Perhaps they felt strongly they didn't get the results they paid for or deserved and responded by walking out without paying. IMO could speak both to rigidity in thought and impulsivity. We know so little about KA so I am stuck on this event!

Moo.

On the whole Botox situation (since it’s such an odd/juicy part of the case):

+ I don’t find her age at the time of the theft (28?) to be odd as commented by some sleuthers. Many women in my circle started small Botox treatments in their 20s for prevention. I myself started at 35. Lots of women simply don’t talk openly about Botox, fillers or other similar treatments
+ It takes 5-7 days to take effect so no way to see results / be dissatisfied immediately
+ Very odd / telling that she did not pay. In my experience most Dr Offices / MedSpas require a credit card on file to book an appointment

Overall, such a deeply strange service to steal (in my opinion, of course)

Except if she changed her appearance, she doesn't look like her sister anymore and one wonders what the point of the ID was.

It’s super weird because as that warrant said she left her Mastercard with her name there when she said she was going to get another card from her vehicle. And also left them with her info on a patient sheet and pictures they took of her face! The affidavit is dated by the sheriffs office about 3 weeks after the Botox. I wonder what steps the med spa took to reach her before reporting it to law enforcement.

Reminds me of some restaurants that would tack up bad checks they’d been passed at the cash register, I’m picturing a med spa tacking up a picture of her face at the front desk.

I wish there Marshals well. My thoughts are with MW’s family.

Most such places would have point of service machines. Maybe the first card was old, expired or had zero balance on it. This is when one says, I am going to grab another one from my car. JMO.
