Thanks those who mentioned it was on Youtube, I appreciate a channel which makes their content available to those of us without pay tv, so I might watch more of their programmes now. Although it was certainly sensationalised, about Channel 5 level of quality, which was a shame, I'd like to see a thoughtful documentary about this case, which goes into depth about his background, and maybe shows a bit of how he got onto that path. The impression this documentary gave was that he had no previous history, and yet I'm sure I recall at least one allegation in the newspapers about him attacking a family friend's child, and wasn't there some talk of him being known to social services? I'd very much like to have known more of his background, and what those who knew him thought about him.
Perhaps BBC or Channel 4 or someone can do a more serious one sometime, as this one was ok for people who didn't know about the case but really didn't go into the causes beyond pointing at the popular bogeyman of the era in gaming. At least at the end they did mention that people can use violent games to let off steam and it may not cause it but considering all the buildup, that was rather halfhearted. I've always felt those with violent tendencies already are likely to be attracted to violent media - not that the media makes them violent.
