I think he knew right off the bat this wasn't accidental or self-inflicted, and Arthur's bruises were not self inflicted either. He had at least 30 bruises on his head alone, his face and his jaw line. I think I would struggle to even find 30 separate areas on a child's head, he must have been covered in them. Bruises in protected areas, behind his knees, his inner thighs, in the centre of his chest, and nothing to do with CPR because that huge ugly bruise was there when she unzipped his onesie.
End him was not about end the behaviour. Not taken in conjunction with the rip off his head and dig his grave comments.
TH was pressure pointing Arthur, or making him scream, behind a closed door at the hairdresser's on the morning of his death. When Arthur was weak, hungry and thirsty, couldn't even talk because of his dry mouth, had trembling legs and a headache. We've seen the video of him waking up and limping around crying a few hours before that. TH was at the hairdresser's that morning - that wasn't a situation where ET was fooling him into thinking Arthur was misbehaving. He was barking at Arthur to call him sir. TH was in charge of dressing Arthur and he chose to leave him in that onesie for the last 4 days of his life, in hot weather. No doubt in my mind, it was to hide all the bruises.
I don't buy that he thought ET wasn't physically abusing Arthur too. That camera was put in on the 12th, so it only covers the last 4 days. They say it was installed to watch Arthur wrecking things, in the pristine room we've seen, but he admitted under cross-examination that it was installed because Arthur was accusing ET of hurting him. There's the proof Arthur was saying it, he was vocal about both of them. She knew the camera was there for 4 days and she would have made sure to hit him out of shot if she was gathering evidence for SS, except those three occasions in those four days she has admitted to assaulting him when she couldn't control herself. Arthur was also saying TH was going to kill him and he felt in danger.
See how they lie, in concert - to protect their own sorry arses -
Ms Prior asks Ms Milhench if she suggested Tustin get a CCTV camera in her house because Tustin was worried about Arthur saying she had hit him.
Ms Milhench responds that she does not remember suggesting the idea, but explains how having a baby camera in her own home had benefited her in the past in a similar situation, and that she had spoken to Tustin about her own experience.
Tustin's evidence in chief:-
"Tustin explains why she had CCTV in her home.
She says: "We had it because we had a bit of trouble with the neighbours. We had a spare camera. After Arthur ripped up photos and threw the tortoise on the floor Tom said we have got a spare camera and might as well use it.
"I spoke to Affy (Catherine Milhench) and she had done similar. That's why the camera was there. Arthur was sleeping downstairs. He had been ruining things. The camera was there to see what he was doing."
Hughes' evidence in chief:-
Hughes explained Tustin had CCTV fitted to her home after having 'problems with neighbours coming into the garden and putting holes in her clothes'.
He stated the camera in the living room was installed because Arthur was 'messing about with toys and ripping things'.
Hughes cross-examination:-
Ms Prior moves on to June 12. Hughes accepts Tustin asked him to put the camera in the living room because she was concerned about things Arthur was saying had been done to him."

TH was as wound up that day as ET was. I don't accept he was speaking about balloons for 2 minutes, ET was organising her own balloons and didn't corroberate that lie of TH's either, he had told ET the night before to end him and I don't think his state of mind was any better in Sainsburys with ET calling him and texting him virtually every minute he was out. She already had his ongoing encouragement to physically assault Arthur. Why would he continue sending messages saying end him, whack him, knowing she wouldn't do it? I think that is why he took the blame, initially, to "protect" ET, when he knew it wasn't an accident and Arthur was too weak to be charging around at anything. He could barely put one foot in front of the other.
I would convict them both of murder.
