Did I read that right? Did she seriously say under oath, in front of a jury, with her chest, that she blames a 6 year old for his own death?? A 6 year old that was under her care?? I’m not even going to attempt to unravel the many layers of messed up that is, but I’m glad the prosecution is making her trip all over her own lies, her defence attorney must be praying for it to end
Legally, Arthur was under care of FATHER. She was just a woman in whose house the boy lived. MOO

I get what you're saying but as he was alone with her at the time he was murdered, does that not make her legally, if not morally responsible for him, for his care ? I imagine if I was left with someone else's child, I would have a duty of care for him or her.

It means that HE is responsible for leaving HIS child in care of a mentally unstable suicidal woman (who stopped taking medication).
It was as if he left his son in the street!

I agree with you there, wich makes him just as guilty as her. But she still surely had a legal responsibility to keep him safe and cause him no harm.

I don't know how to answer that as Im not a lawyer.
She murdered the boy so she must pay for it.

Playing the recording of Arthur and her child interacting was a very nice touch. It’s really starting to take a toll on her now. I think there is a chance she’ll crack and change her plea if this bombardment continues for another few days.

I am a teacher and any decision concerning a pupil can be made only by parents or legal guardians appointed by Family Court.
Was she a Legal Guardian?
No, to be blunt she was a lover of a father and a complete stranger to the boy.
What was TH thinking?
That he could drop his son there and go his merry way?
She was complaining that he often left her with Arthur.
He knew perfectly well that both his son and ET were unhappy about it.
Did he care?
Of course not. He is, among other things, guilty of negligence, not taking proper care of his child.

No no no, that’s what she wishes reality was. It’s his responsibility, his son, his problem, she’s made it very clear that that’s what she thinks. He’s also responsible for many reason of course, but she doesn’t get to waive responsibility just because she doesn’t have parental rights. The day Arthur died, she was the adult at the house, the person that Arthur depended on and the adult who had the ability to make different choices, regardless of how badly his dad abused him. I can only hope his dad is also held responsible for his part, but at that moment in time, Arthur was under her care and supervision.

very smart to leave that until Friday evening, the jury are sitting on that all weekend, it will play on their minds

As she murdered the boy she must be punished - just as a random attacker in the street.

Exactly. I don’t care how she felt about being left with Arthur and I don’t care that she couldn’t be bothered with him. She needed to get over herself and act like a grown up instead of terrorising a defenceless child until the day she finally killed him

Of course!
But don't forget about father's guilt.

Of course, we are talking a lot about her because her testimony is fresh in our minds, we’ve just been reading what she has to say. I suspect that as soon as he’s testifying it will be the other way round

It did say a few days ago during the trial that Arthur’s DOB was jan 2016 not 2014. Therefore, he would of only been 4. Puzzled me since as still referred to as being 6.

I wonder...
Did they work?

What were their jobs/careers?

She lived in a house - it is quite expensive to maintain a house.
I mean constant repairs, bills, etc.

There is no info but I find it interesting.
