The 60 and 62 Clairol bottles had been mixed as there is brown residue at the top of both. Also one of the Jerome Russell sachets and the silver L'Oreal sachet had been torn open. All these products were available at Boots Pharmacy - I wondered if she had popped to the Boots in Heworth Village after work on the Wednesday pm.Yes @Yozzer. It's not clear if those bottles had been used. Although the tub looks used, is it possible it's just the tub CL always used and therefore discoloured?

It just seems so drastic after having paid for a professional colour only 3 weeks earlier. And a lot of effort.
Honestly, I think the hair dye could unlock the whole case. It just makes no sense at allI couldn't agree more @Yozzer. It doesn't make much sense, unless she was very unhappy with the professional colour?
The whole thing gets me. It looked like it may have been left out. Who does that? It's so messy and stains everything, you bin it as soon as you can. Sometimes it smells strong too.we can't rely on any friend and her hairdresser could be intimidated....I wonder if her mother would know....when claudia wanted a complete change of hair colour, did she ever do it herself or did she just touch it up at home.
if she didn't do complete changes at home, then she was either colouring someone else's hair or someone wanted people to think shed changed her hair colour....in view of the missing towels etc, I think it was probably the former in any case, or someone was helping claudia and didn't want their presence detected, but you never know
Okay having watched clip posted by @keep-it-real I'm more convinced Claudia may have managed her own hair dye session. She was very practical so I think this process would have been well within her capability. Was wondering about the whereabouts of the highlights cap too. So perhaps some 'toxic' items (used cap, gloves, possibly plastic cape) were binned outside? Funny how some items were left in the bathroom though. Was she disturbed in the middle of the process, ie hair coloured and rinsed and in a towel turban drying off? If she had finished with the towel, (& had moved on to the hair drying/STRAIGHTENING process), I would expect there to still be a damp towel with residue of dye materials in the house on the Friday.
Some bits are still not fitting together for me.
Which leads me to my next question. When were the bins collected in Heworth in March 2009?
I don't think it is known whether JK worked on the Wednesday evening. We know she worked on the Thurs night. There's little doubt that an argument developed leading to Claudia's demise...we just need to join a few more dots but difficult without key background info.mmmm.....the main problem with the jk theory is that she was supposed to have been working at the nags...of course, it could be that a collective silence has been maintained. thanks for the information, yoz, about her being able. to colour her hair herself....thats an excellent point about the bins. whether she was colouring her own hair or someone else's, I think there's a good chance that she was interrupted....can we see the scenari0 that she was colouring someone else's hair and an argument developed or is it more likely that she or they were interrupted and it took off from there, whether or not there was a person whose hair claudia was dying who was actively involved. and, if the house was arranged by someone, why did they leave the hair colouring stuff there....grrrr....going off to boil my head
