Yes not a problem Nikynoo! I shall break it down for you. 1: (Was)Claudias mortgage of 181,000 with Santander stopped in the-possible two years she was living at the property ?
2, Did her mother need to meet the solicitor to deal with this, and was this after Claudia had disappeared, just for Clarity x

Well any mortgage on her income must be significant, she certainly liked a drink because its been stated she could have a bit of a personality change when drunk, the new engine for her car, it all adds up to more than her income in my opinion
Not if it was an interest only mortgage. As far as we know she didn't go out every night either, but yes, you are entitled to your opinion.

Not that I am aware of - why do you think this?

If you are talking about the time JL visited the property as per my comment to your initial post, yes, JL visited the property first in 2011 and then again for the later article.

I do not know how many times JL visited the property whilst CL lived there (does anyone?). I know only about the times JL visited after CL disappeared as per this article https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/31198...-the-missing-chefs-broken-and-neglected-home/.
"Despite a hugely high-profile investigation and a subsequent murder inquiry, no trace has been found.Joan, who is long divorced from Claudia’s dad Peter, has only been to her daughter’s house once before in the years since Claudia disappeared.

That was six years ago, when she accompanied a rep from Claudia’s mortgage firm, which has indefinitely suspended the loan, on a brief inspection to ensure the building was secure.

Yes I for some reason believed it was prior march 2009, well possibly over the alarm raised at her property and will check why I believed it was prior. Either way surprised peter did not deal with this issue as more in charge of finances I presume from what I have seen x

Perhaps he was busy? It was only to check that the property was secure.
I have updated my post to include the relevant article and a quote from it.

Perhaps but my own feeling is it would be most unusual considering (imo) of course x

Probably because insurance want to know if a property was going to be vacant for more than three months I believe !

Maybe her dad helped out, but the police didn't mention it, said she had a frugal lifestyle, which as I say, doesn't strike me as very frugal at all

Drinking in the pub many times a week isn't frugal unless others are buying you drinks.

Wonder why Claudia was nicknamed cat ? Random, just curious. Also perhaps Claudia was not avoiding the nags, just spending time with Closer friends. Eg drinking back at the spotted cow since jan x

How many times a week? or like I said earlier, you can make a drink last all evening.

And this is why I do not think she would have an interest only mortgage imo
so quite possibly an income stream from the investments?

Its possible she had a gaurantor mortgage with one or both of her parents acting as guarantor. It might also explain why JL met the rep at the house.

A mortgage guarantor is someone – usually a parent, a relative or even a close friend – who will cover your mortgage repayments if you can't pay them for any reason.
