That's not the impression her friends have given. CL was a big drinker, ably assisted by her 'friends' and admirers at the NH.How many times a week? or like I said earlier, you can make a drink last all evening.

Not every night though and certainly not in the days before her going missing. That's not the impression her friends have given. CL was a big drinker, ably assisted by her 'friends' and admirers at the NH.
@Nikynoo I thought I made myself clear but here goes second attempt.Huh? This sentence is contradictory. If smoking is an appetite suppresant, how can you have a bigger appetite? I am a smoker and agree with PJ that it takes alot of my income (£10 every other day). If I wanted to save money, I would smoke roll ups, which would cut the cost by half.
I get it now. I disagree that its a well known fact though.@Nikynoo I thought I made myself clear but here goes second attempt.
It is a well known fact that if you smoke you eat less and probably sacrifice other vices to be able to afford smoking. So if you dont smoke you still spend as much.
I think the economic term is Expendable income...![]()
Correct @NikynooI sort of disagree. Claudia chose how and where to spend her spare cash. You can go to the pub and make a drink last all night if needed.
I would be interested to know how many holidays she took since purchasing the house. I seem to recall that she couldn't confirm any future holiday plans as she didn't have the money (as per the conversation with the guy in cyprus).
And not if she had an early startNot every night though and certainly not in the days before her going missing.
@Nikynoo Good posting. I wonder where she came about the money to invest. Had her parents provided this. Was she asked to put this in her name by family or other?Just for my own sanity, have reposted here:
Peter Lawrence: My daughter Claudia has been missing for 8 years. Singing helps me cope
"Claudia had a number of investments [that I couldn't touch]", he explains.
"An ISA comes to an end and there's nothing you can do to reinvest it so it sits there losing interest, whereas with the stock market, it could have been shooting up. I wanted to do it for her benefit if she comes back. It makes everything even worse, if it can be made even worse. We need this law as a matter of urgency."
Were they her finances or his @Vixey ???Yes I for some reason believed it was prior march 2009, well possibly over the alarm raised at her property and will check why I believed it was prior. Either way surprised peter did not deal with this issue as more in charge of finances I presume from what I have seen x
That's a shame @keep-it-real as I'm sure all sleuths would benefit from this informationI will send you a pm
@Officer Dibble If you read the x barmaids blog by @moonsafari She described Claudia as someone who bought her own drinks and was not a scrounger.Drinking in the pub many times a week isn't frugal unless others are buying you drinks.
@Nikynoo I would like to hear from @Popejohn3 pleaseI can't answer for PJ, but thats not my take on his post.
Wonder why Claudia was nicknamed cat ? Random, just curious. Also perhaps Claudia was not avoiding the nags, just spending time with Closer friends. Eg drinking back at the spotted cow since jan x
@NikynooNo they didn't - the mortgage was suspended - see https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/31198...-the-missing-chefs-broken-and-neglected-home/
What did you mean then
or a dealer? If she could sustain her lifestyle on her chef income then she was wasted as a chef, should have been chancellor of the exchequer or governor of the bank of England
@keep-it-real Alley Cat perhaps???Do you which people called her Cat @Vixey?
But not one to make a drink last all evening which was the original point being made. Not every night though and certainly not in the days before her going missing.
No PJ is not suggesting this at all. What PJ is saying is that the lack of proper or suitable resource hampered the case at the start .@Popejohn3 Are you suggesting from what you describe in the context of your post that "The Guilty One" was a Police Officer?
@bolnderabbit You are correct, we must not post addresses in these circumstances. I looked at his route from his home and on this day he would have reached the roundabout at the intersection of Heworth / Stockton and taken the first exit left into Heworth.
However he decided to drive straight on at the roundabout.
I used Google to track the two journey scenarios and the route he took involved him in a LONGER journey.
I always asked myself this:
"Even if you decide not to call for Claudia, would you not just take the same route and not stop"
Or was it that he was worried he would be seen, not by Claudia but by someone that was described as her "New Boyfriend" and were they of a "certain community" he would not wish to meddle with?
