I'm going to be controversial here and say they didn't do it. No proof they did or they would be locked up by now.

Smoking left handed means nothing I can do things left or right handed although I'm naturally right handed. Following in from post earlier. About people been in GL home that's from police who said someone had been in her house & people who we have questioned have been lying.

i think it’s a fair argument that most people could smoke left or right handed. The difference here is you have two different sightings in the morning by possibly separate witnesses looking at someone smoking with his left hand, you also have a cig butt in her car from a smoker that used his left hand. - yes my example of people telling ties was taken from the police script.

We know regarding Claudias mobile, but was Claudias camera discovered at home as would have her last holiday images on I presume x

No need to be defensive just a simple explanation - the forum is made up of more than just old timers - you could spark a conclusion by someone looking at it with fresh eyes - so what gives you that impression ?

Over the ten years there’s been many twists and turns - How do you feel about “The Nags Four”?

Not sure I feel anything about them. All we have seen is video footage from someone making a program. I haven't met these people so I can't comment really.
Maybe suffering from small village fever, no one knows anything so they make it up.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, ive only loosely followed Claudias case. Ive just finished reading Major Langs blog - I was un-aware that JK had previously lived with claudia- so there is a possibility that she had a spare key?! This puts a new spin on things for me.

I’d guess you’d wonder why Suzy when not hearing from Claudia contact Jen - they are close friends? Plus as you suggest she may of had a spare key

JK was on duty at the nags so i can see why she spoke to her. I find it very odd that they didn't check her house when she didn't arrive for drinks with suzie. It was a stones throw from arranged meeting point. Id check if her lights were on at the very least. To not check sounds suspicious to me. Was the meeting to clear the air over something? Was there ill feeling between the women. This is the only conclusion that I can find as to why they didn't check on her house. It was a case of sod her she doesn't want to sort it out. OR was one of the women aware that something had happened to claudia and talked the other one out of checking. Very odd behaviour in my opinion

Also, how the hell did JK afford a flat on her own on a barmaids wage. Im un-aware of how much rent she paid but it was a new build flat, i would have thought that rent and bills were a stretch on her wage. She seemed to have a good social life too. Ive worked behind bars in-between jobs and it was a struggle and I lived at home with my parents too. Was she involved in some other money earner?

If I was one of them and was being asked questions on how on earth I could afford to live in such a flat, I would have brought the conversation to a stop ... it’s obvious officer you are not here to find out what happened to CL! Bye!

Yes I have to agree, she moved in with her lover not long after claudia disappeared, was the heat on. I dont think JK gave up any information at all. She seems more concerned with protecting her four suspect friends than finding Claudia. Oh what a tangled web that is.

I cant shake the feeling JK holds the key to this case , in more ways than one. Her use of nick names referring to claudia were in bad taste. I have a dry sense of humour and often call friends by derogatory names as a term of affection but if one of those friends were missing, suspected murdered I would not be using them. Each to their own I suppose.

This is the link to the Crimewatch follow up programme on Claudia's disappearance July 2009 where the left handed smoker seen talking to CL on Melrosegate Bridge was said to have been seen the Weds not Thurs as previously reported. start video at 41.00

The girls did not go check on Claudia because you tend to wait and see ... she’s running a bit late ... hmm oh look at the time .. it’s probably too late for her... she’s got an early start in the morning .

I'd agree if it was some distance but it wasn't. It was a few doors down from the pub they were in. It would have taken minutes to check. Did they send messages or try to call? Again, if no reply i woukd have certainly checked on my friend who lived alone.

Yes they tried to contact her and knowing their friend well , guessed right IMO, she had fallen asleep.

Others , and I’m sure they will given time , will engage with you . I’m sure they will and ignore me ...
