All points of view are welcome. I was just curious as to why you seemed sure that it wasn't suspicious how the girls acted following claudias no show.
Sorry I’m sure I put in the letters IMO
No I’m not sure but the girls know her very well IMO and she has done it before I believe. They were meant to meet at about 9 pm .And I believe they respected each other’s privacy and I’m guessing one would say let’s give her another ten minutes and before you know it and if you’re drinking and talking to others, it would soon be 10 pm well ...

The girls did not go check on Claudia because you tend to wait and see ... she’s running a bit late ... hmm oh look at the time .. it’s probably too late for her... she’s got an early start in the morning .
She hasn’t got an early start though has she Pope john as you very well know she had booked Friday off.

Interesting information. I was wondering why claudia would arrange a late meet up having such early starts for work. So why the text to JK saying working 12 days on the trot?!

Crimewatch appeal brings new witnesses
It states that post office cctv picked up a man around 5am with a black hooded top. So why hasn't this picture been circulated, maybe the general public need to see this.

Although the link doesnt bring up the video it refers to the February 2010 Crimewatch programme I searched the BBC archives for it it says the episode is not avail
BBC One - Crimewatch, 25/02/2010

However from the screenshot of the page it appears to be the video 'Last known movements of Claudia Lawrence'. Melrosegate PO footage starts at 1.24
Last known movements of Claudia Lawrence

If anyone does have the actual Crimewatch programme I would be very interested to see it

It’s been a wet afternoon in Heworth

my advice here is don’t watch it, it gives incorrect information. Look at the NYP microsite

There’s no link to it on the microsite

The York Press article states its a video released by the police after the Crimewatch programme

The Yorkshire Post 26th Feb 2010 reported
CLOSED circuit TV footage said to show missing chef Claudia Lawrence on the last day she was seen alive has been retracted after it was admitted the images were of someone else.
Stills from the footage, which it was said showed Claudia leaving work at York University on March 18 last year, were released on Wednesday ahead of a broadcast by BBC's Crimewatch last night.

But North Yorkshire Police said yesterday that some of the images, widely seen in newspapers and on TV, were in fact of someone else. Other footage released, including her walking past a newsagents, is said to be legitimate.

The programme went ahead last night with the genuine images. It is understood the mistake made by Crimewatch, not the Yorkshire force.
Claudia film withdrawn over identity 'mistakes'

Your post was re a hooded figure picked up on cctv at Melrosegate PO this is footage in the later part of the video which did not include the stills that were retracted.

I wonder how many of us here that contribute or just lurk are actually witnesses or very close to Claudia or drank in the NH or perhaps ex police ( retired ?)officers who worked on the case ?
The case has not been solved hence the interest ?
And let’s face it these people are not guilty yet fingers have been pointed at nearly everyone mentioned and it’s stands to reason they are not responsible for her disappearance...

The video is supposed to be one of the lady walking through the campus grounds that is wrong. Looks like her to me at the right time, a couple of the cars were said to be seen elsewhere also

If the lady was eliminated it would have been IMO because they came forward and said it was them !

When I watched the uni cctv, the close up of Claudia indoors and the girl walking through the grounds where you see blue jacket male were two different people imo.Wrong hair and though claudia was slim, the girl was very thin again imo x
