Hi, new member (lurker) decided to register as I occasionally feel the urge to respond. Has been really interesting and an eye opener to read these Claudia Lawrence threads, thank you.

So who ever killed her knows nothing about him ?
Won’t he return the phone to the police at least?
She did not have a landline and she received a call from her mum .now her mums phone would have recorded Claudia’s mobile number

Not quite sure how to navigate these threads yet, so my apologies.
My gut instinct with the Claudia case is that we don't need to look any further than the clientele of the Nags head. Clearly something that involves several people, one person killed her but they made sure others were complicit. The reason for killing also involved several people, hence the complicity. They are now all tied in together. Rat on one, rat on all.
Extremely sad situation, biggest victim is obviously Claudia but her family are completely broken.

I am the creator of the video that was posted a few pages back. I saw websleuths in my analytics and thought I would visit the site and see what it's all about. Thanks to the person who shared my video.

I used quite a lot of different sources when researching. I just wanted to clear up a couple of things that have been mentioned here regarding my video.

First there's the report of tourism workers seeing Claudia in March. I just want to clarify that this was March 2009 - something I should have mentioned in the video. If you already knew I was referring to 2009, that's fine, I just didn't want anyone to be under the false impression that it was more recent than that. I read about this potential sighting through the Northern Echo website.

Then there's the idea that Claudia wouldn't have been seen near the Melrosegate post office if she'd been walking on the opposite side of the road. I was unaware of just how many cameras are around that area, otherwise I would have thought twice before trusting wikipedia as a source. I am usually very reluctant to use wikipedia, but it was the only source I came across which offered a possible explanation for Claudia not appearing in the footage the following day.

I hope this clears things up for anybody who had questions.

Edit: While I'm here, I may as well mention something interesting I noticed. In the CCTV footage of the 'alley man', as he stops while someone passes by, it looks to me as if he's checking his pocket for something, or putting something into his pocket. I only picked up on this after I'd watched the footage several times. I'd like to know if anyone else got the same impression. Not suggesting the man was in any way involved, but my observation made me curious.

It has been said, as I have read his son was also in as bar man pretty early on the mornings and had worked behind the bar at the nags for some years x

Not sure about your last sentence .But the guy stops in the ‘shadow’ of the street light hands in pocket or not, it’s clear he did not ( and he succeeded IMO) want the other person to see him .

Thank-you for the clarification, and will watch alley man footage again! How long did He stand and wait? when looking at the footage where alley man turns out of sight, do you believe he entered the alley or he was possibly passing or receives something from another person each time. Also same persons in both evening and morning footage, white coat person and alley man. Do any vehicles match both occasions that you have noticed? I do wonder why if alley man needed to be identified, why not use the same camera that captured the breaking focus where there is better lighting and a direct front view of the person to be identified x

But that can’t be the issue. Alley man is stood waiting on the corner of heworth road and heworth place on evening footage and then proceeded to heworth place after white jacket guy and the two others walked past him ? They are together and imo must be timed and staged as a distraction or diversion x

I have to say its refreshing to find someone who has taken taken the time to follow on their Youtube video on Claudia's disappearance and post on WS.. thankyou.
When your video mentioned the sighting of Claudia in Cyprus by the tourism workers it caught my attention as I had not come across this in my research.
I found this article in The York Press 21st Sept 2009. It mentions that many bar owners and taxi drivers in the Coral Bay area recognised her as a tourist.
I didnt read it as they saw her in march 2009 tho.. The tourism worker said he saw her going into a bar with a male but that was over six months ago so that wouldmake that sighting before march 2009.
Perhaps I read it wrong.. I would be interested how others read it
If she had been seen in Coral Bay after her disappearance it would indeed be a game changer.

@Midnights_Zephyr I hope you dont mind me pointing out you also mention the the left handed smoker on Melrosegate bridge as being the 19th .. the sighting was actually weds 18th.
You will find the follow up Crimewatch programme screened in July 2009 points this out.

I was reflecting as I do.... into the mind of Claudia on the evening of the 18th. She talked to her friend from Malton, her Dad and her Mum - across all three calls she mentioned to each of them she was fearful of walking to work
In the morning. I wonder if you asked these three if she had ever mentioned it before the 18th what they’d say.
I have 2 reflections on this disclosure.
1. Something happened on her way to work in the previous days that unnerved her.

2. she was familiar with Heworth - she was well known - there isn’t really any what I’d class as dodgy or high risk housing estates on her way to work.

so I wonder if she was thinking she would be walking to work from elsewhere on the morning of the 19th - she was visualising a higher risk because someone was picking her up and she was thinking she would have to walk from his in the morning.

you can all look at where you live and understand there’s places you’d rather not be at night in your own towns, cities. Saying that Tanghall and where the bees wing pub is - which is only up
The road from the college are not safe areas.

Well you’d have to ask DO that - she was concerned about walking to work and mentioned it independently to three people on the night of the 18th. She had money and didn’t need her mums (weirdly though another point - her mum realised she probably wasn’t selling her body or drugs and was careful with her money). Why she turned her dads car down we will never know.

id like to know if Claudia had mentioned before the 18th that she was fearful of walking to work to anyone.

Sorry I don’t think she was fearful ever .It was the others who feared for her safety .
It was obvious questions like “How are you managing without your car ? When are you going to get your car back ?” Would have been asked off her in every call.And she probably used it in every call to end the conversation “ Hmm I’ve got to go now because I have to get up early cause I’m walking “ IMO
