I asked Suzy regarding this and she had no idea wether he stayed at claudias, the pub, taxi or drove home x
Can't really imagine him paying to stay over at NH when his daughter only lived a couple of doors away.

No, I can assure you as some people on here will know as seen my post and discussion previously! Peter Lawrence was speaking in the Interview so no mistake and I am sure how many times he said he visited the nags pub weekly x When I find it,I will post the link here x

It's an interesting article nevertheless. Peter discussing how he socialised with them but rarely stayed the course, would leave claudia to her social life.

There was talk of various communities being involved and some of the locals have Irish names? Claudia was rumoured to go out on St Patrick's night

I think someone recently mentioned the traveller community who I believe have a significant presence in Eire
You (all) will know, why I'm mentioning the following at this point: Maybe, CL's "new mysterious boyfriend" was rather a "new OLD boyfriend", who had got bored a little bit with his official partner in the meanwhile.

IMO SC is coy and knows far more than she reveals.
Claudia got in with a really bad bunch-Bless her.
Early evening drink usually means perhaps a couple of drinks and us old timers would drive home if we came by car !
Perhaps SC did not want people to know that

@ArcadeFire I have quite some sympathy with your view but do not share all.

If we all just assume that as you say, there is nothing more to the case than meets the eye then perhaps we are all guilty of chasing shadows and barking up the wrong trees and so is that not similar to all threads whether they are on WS or another online medium?

I do agree that where one member perhaps see's something that no one else can and some conspiracy type theory's are on the wilder side.

I'm not sure how much research you have done into this case or whether you have had contact with the LE teams(s) running the case.

We all know that MSM are often required to supress a story or to promote a view that supports the family or LE-We only need to look at the McCann case as a prime example.

I have been in touch with police on several occasions and can say that I was initially met with a helpful approach (I am a great supporter of our police force).

However, during conversations, a story was changed and when you start to delve, they dry up. I understand the drying up but changing story's is showing a lack of transparency and only adds fuel to the fire already burning re conspiracy.

I have seen Google sightings that I have reported to the police, removed from Google for no obvious reason.

I also find the 4 people arrested as POI's are more likely to have been involved in a different crime or perhaps associated with those responsible for CL Disappearance and it is quite possible that they are as frightened as many of their drinking buddies at the Nags.

In summary I wouldn't disagree that this case may be quite simple and is being overcomplicated but you have to ask the following questions:

  • As a POI would you not want to distance yourself and shed the stigma by moving away rather than nearer to the crime scene?
  • In Law Enforcement, whilst you have to ensure you don't compromise evidence, try and be transparent with your stakeholders who want the crime solved as much as they do
  • Why did an accomplished SOI (Galloway) make so many obvious errors?
  • What frustrated Malyn far more than a daily disappointment for an SIO of the CPS not supporting the decision to charge?
  • Why are there far more online disruptors in this case than any other I have seen that don't want us to get close to the fire?
At times the case does take on the format of a soap opera but in the main those searching for a small lead that could crack the case have the best intentions.

For Claudia's sake (No one else) I do hope that this case is solved and for those expecting news each anniversary, I would say, forget that as a timeline as the pressure is of LE to recognise the anniversary.
re cold case :They are probably going to have to stop being nice !
Because of the internet and the hard work being done by people like you, the interest in this story is still very high and the danger is cold case could be overwhelmed like the first team .
It’s a job and a half to sort out the wheat from the chaff.
One day the crime solving computer will get it right who knows .

Not sure I see a church going solicitor being too keen on drink driving

Regarding POI moving nearer to the potential crime scenes and not further away I think it’s easier to hide in plain site. Plus, they’ve been identified so why uproot your life to another part of the country when you are settled somewhere. The police will find you whatever

We should not worry about their workload @Popejohn3 Their job is to solve the case and there are some very well meaning people assisting them.

Some good points. However; do you feel the comment about an individuals relationships reflects a distorted ultra- Patriarchal view of the issue

If the authorities asked a Male about their viewpoints of Claudia's lifestyle; then it may be reflected in a differing nature to a contrasting viewpoint given by a Female. Thus; a false label may be given to someone, based on someone unfounded norms that have been constructed by the society we live in.

Put simply; Claudia may have been falsely 'tagged' in a certain manner because she had been in a relationship with just 2,3, or 4 people in 5 yrs for example

At first; this may not sound important. However; if the authorities have been given the wrong impression, then they could be venturing around unnecessarily for copious non-existence Boyfriends

Caution could perhaps be demonstrated by PL? and others stating that they did not recognise certain 'labels' that were given to Claudia

Furthermore; jealous Females may of in fact given false labels to Claudia , when it could be considered that fellow Females would be more inclined to give a more favorable description
