I'm not 100% sure, but it was certainly posted on here. It was definitely from near the Melrosegate post box at 5am-ish with a lady walking on the same side as the post office and it being to her right. The chap was walking from the opposite direction on the same side towards the lady with the post office to his left

My point is that I am not saying it is Claudia walking to work at an appropriate time on the 19th (not too clever CCTV imagery). I am sure 3 people in the past; months ago, said the early morning clip was someonelse. So I accepted I must be wrong

But if people are querying if its Claudia or it's not Claudia posting something on the 18th (better CCTV imagery)

Then maybe there's a possibility that on at least one of the 2 pieces of footage above; that someone just happens to look like Claudia, or is 'meant' to look like Claudia

I think to understand why police are interested in the video clip outside the Melrosegate PO is because of whats happening on it.
Most people have viewed this as a lumbering man walking from the University road direction towards the Heworth direction. What is actually happening in that video is at approx 2.03 that a person looks to be struggling with another person who is trying to get away in the direction of the University they disappear out of frame only to reappear the chased person having being caught and being carried under duress back towards the Heworth road direction.
I would normally advise you to use the settings wheel on the video to slow it down for viewing but unfortunately there is no settings wheel on this particular video. So you may need to view it a few times to see exactly whats going on.
Another thought is if you have a You Tube Channel perhaps you can upload the video there where the video speed setting wheel may be visible on that upload.

Cold Case confirmed to me that Claudia was not seen on any cctv on Thurs 19th

That's great information @keep-it-real As if she had not been seen on CCTV that morning then it is unlikely that she left by the front door as equally our team have confirmation of the CCTV in the premises opposite.

And so to reduce speculation we have:

Not left by front door on 19th
Left by the back door on her own accord to venture further afield at any time after 15:10 on afternoon of 18th.
Left by the back door against her wishes or unconscious / dead.

Thanks @Vixey I have just noticed that as CL leaves the buolding of the restaurant, there appears to be a "Swap Follow" by the two people in the background.
If you watch the CCTV you will see two people walking towards one another and touching hands / passing something.
One of these people continues in same direction as CL:

Has there been any discussion on here or information in the media about who that person was at 5am-ish on the 19th March walking past the Post box . The footage was shown on here

The lad walking the opposite way looked like the chap that was in a Co-op; who the Police wanted to talk to

Surely the lady or ladies at the Post box have been identified if they weren't Claudia

If Claudia was involved in covert undercover work and the female at Melrosegate PO was a look alike decoy this wouldnt be disclosed. It becomes a complicated situation in what police can actually disclose, but I think Peter Lawrence gives an honest response when viewing the footage and its one we should note.

But if you look at the cctv as a whole theres no time stamp theres a large gap in the footage .. Its just my opinion but I think there was some sort of incident outside the shops and its not just the posting of something that the police were interested in in that clip.
Its interesting that NYP have changed the wording on what was being posting.
And if the dark haired bearded man seen accepting a poster from PL was the owner of the Mini Market & Off Licence and he did have what looked like a punched right eye injury Im even more curious.

Gets a call and ups and leaves(odd) Spending time in acomb with who? who was the smartly dressed male at her door, not a sure but did he have a brief case? neighbour said put in the back of a car, to talk ? just thoughts pope xx

Could be anyone, but that sort of defeats the purpose of a decoy if you have no real idea who it is

I'm pretty sure her work colleague would have known the difference when she picked her up.

This is possible here but again a conspiracy theory.

It's hard to rule out virtually anything in this case, but my opinion is its a lot more simple and very local, involving the 2 usual reasons for murder, namely sex, money or both

If there was a deliberate deception by the woman walking to the uni in the morning how come the police established very early on that it was not her ?
Because self identification is probably the only way to make sure .
