@Popejohn3 You keep mentioning that PL would know Police in charge and because of his occupation as a solicitor.

I'm afraid this is highly unlikely.

PL was a prosecutor when he lived in Darlington but moved to Malton before Claudia was born.

When he arrived at Malton, he changed his emphasis from being a prosecution lawyer to a conveyancing solicitor.

The reason given was that he wanted more sociable hours to be around more and be a good Father-Bless him.

The only Police officers who would remember him would probably be retired when Claudia went missing (35 Years on) perhaps apart from the junior rooky bobbies in Darlington (Not York) from 35 Years ago.

Even Galloway would have still been in short trousers back then.

@MEKON What about the vehicle with orange flashing lights reflecting in the window of the corner house at 05:07 on CCTV when alley person goes into HP.
It wasn't bin day but was it a removal truck and perhaps with a car on the back of it.

Spoke to police but they said they had checked it out and immaterial-But then they would say that.

At one point they said it was a flashing street light.
Not being fooled by that answer I googled the area.
No street lights in vicinity would reflect in that way and funnily if it was a street light, an hour later it had been fixed.

Sorry but my council aren't that responsive even at a social time of day.

Certainly possible; if we believe it's a possibility that something occurred inside or near Claudia's home. And surely the theory that something happened in or near her home has to be taken seriously

Perhaps if we consider the above; then thinking of ideas how a person could be taken from that area needs to be discussed:

• What Roads, paths or snickets etc etc could be used by a Vehicle,trolley or even a human to remove something
• What CCTV coverage is available to cover all the routes
• What activity occurred; especially on the 18th or 19th which may at first seem normal
• What areas in the vicinity of Claudias home has 'blind spots' where something could be loaded without being seen
• I do not think it could be ruled out that something is still hidden in the area
• Could something of been moved when a family moved house

Are there any common links that can be applied to the Irish angle. KIR stated via the spending of the authorities; that there was a Dublin trip. Therefore are there any links between Dublin and the local Irish or Catholic community; that coincide with activity in the area around the 18th or 19th. Could there be any contractors or delivery drivers that were in the area with Irish connections

Quite easy, in the dead of night, to reverse a car as close as possible to rear of CL house and remove CL from house to car. You wouldn't even have to have the engine running from a certain point to back into the alley. No street lights either from what I can see from back of house to as near as you could get a car to number 46.

I don't think so @Bagpipes I recall all were tucked in her handbag hanging over the bed end.
However SC has a slightly different version.

I recall one version was that the bag was on the bed ad another version was that it was hanging of a bedstead.

With reference to the 'blending in' with what could look like a normal activity in the area. Could a body be removed and 'disguised' under the guise of a delivery or what could be normally considered as objects needing to be taken out of the Cellar? I wonder where the Cellar doors were; especially if some doors were at floor level

If an act did occur in or near Claudia's home; IMO I think Claudia has been removed via the use of a vehicle out of sight from a camera. Or something has been used to obscure the camera, under the act of a 'so called' normal task

Which camera? The limes court one police would have said it was obscured after checking footage and pretty the nags cctv wasn’t operational

Whichever way would have been known by someone familiar with the area. As close as they could get without being picked up by CCTV. I'm sure someone here with local knowledge will know how 'doable' it would have been. Camera at the NH wasn't working at that time, suggests camera savvy people.

Also depends upon where the car was originally parked in the first place. Could have been parked up for hours or days before CL met her fate. You know, someone living at Heworth place for eg? JMO

Lol. Have to agree with this, we have an undercover cop who is really a drug dealing gypsy, in a bin lorry, wearing a wig that has changed colour and disposing of CL in the cellar of the NH.
Sometimes we try too hard to make the evidence fit the theory rather than fit the theory to the evidence.
