Her father thought it suggested she had left for work on the 19th March because she didn't take a purse to work.
There are, of course, other explanations.
If she had gone out the wednesday evening would she have left her purse at home?

Moving tribute to Peter Lawrance on tonight’s program at the end - sent that weird feeling right through me - what a shame he couldn’t of had closure.

second time for me watching “missing and murdered” it stated her phone was switched off at 12.10pm north west of York - wonder who lives near there?
to be fair, it did say that the area was something like 11 miles, so it could be any number of people.

Re BUT no mention of any calls to Claudia's phone that evening

SC has always maintained that she texted CL during Thursday evening while in NH with a jokey 'Where are you - stood me up again?' type text. No reply of course. She stated that she assumed CL was having an early night.
Yes, but it was JK who said she was worried by 10pm. Why was she worried and why didn't she call/text?

Kinda charged at the moment - what is the determination of clean vs dirty chef's clothes in the rucksack. Is that not key on forming a timeline for when CL (along with rucksack) left her flat?

The missing or murdered last night. Having been interested in the case since 2009 and studying the case for around 15months . After watching last nights program for the second time - it confirms to me there’s obviously knowledge of what’s happened held by those closest to CL. I understand the frustrations of the police.

That would depend on whose company she was in.

This documentary was filmed 10 years later. People refine their versions over time (to present a more favourable image of themselves perhaps). I'm pretty sure in older interviews, it was SC who was most concerned as she had been 'abandoned'. I have read other versions of this story where JK did not use the word 'worried' and adopted a more relaxed stance to CL's absence from the NH that night. So I understand your drift. ;)
Neither woman was concerned enough to check on CL but perhaps it was reasonable to assume that she had fallen asleep, in which case, why wake her up? I think SC's text was how most adult women would deal with it - since CL was not a child.

Can you elaborate further on this point please @Harrison9 ? Thanks.

Can you pinpoint in which part of the broadcast you think this was most obvious please @Blonderabbit?

I didn't explain that very well, did I? Basically, my thought was that knowing whether the missing chef's clothes were dirty vs clean would lend insight to the time she disappeared. If the missing chef's clothes were the dirty set she had already worn to work that day, than more likely she met her fate that evening. If the missing chef's clothes were clean, than more likely her disappearance occurred in the morning on her way to work.

To determine this - did the police find a dirty set on the top of her laundry basket or set near the washing machine? (This would leave me to believe she disappeared with a fresh, unworn set in her bag...which again, lends more credence to a morning disappearance.). If a dirty set was NOT found recently discarded around the house, perhaps she never unpacked her bag from her full day of work. In which case, I lean towards her disappearance occurring at night.

However, this all assumes that she wore a fresh chef's uniform every day and would not "re-wear" a soiled set. Could be a reach, but was thinking that identifying if the clothes were dirty vs clean could really narrow down the timeline of events.

A new article
The 8 key questions surrounding Claudia Lawrence's disappearance

re missing and murdered, I’m not 100% sure what I can and cannot say after websleuths CL lockdown - so without being specific. Questions are drawn in my mind when people do not behave as I would expect them to behave. I draw comparisons between sister mother Father Rip. And then I look beyond the family - yes Pl did have tears, however mother and sister have been relatively composed because I guess they hold on to the glimmer of hope she may still be alive. Whilst others are clearly upset and seem to be suffering from the death of their friend.

I'm new to this case but have reviewed heaps of online sources, blogs, etc. A few questions/thoughts I haven't seen too much info on:
  • As a pub 'regular' myself, I would certainly notice changes in my fellow patrons attendance and behavior. Were there any noted absences the evening of May 18th...particularly of the 4+ POI's that were arrested and released? Or rather, were the "4" noted to be there, and if so, were their departure times noted?

You would certainly expect staff and punters of a local to notice absences or even arrivals of individuals not occurring at the usual time. If there was anything unusual, someone would of noticed

That would depend on whose company she was in.

Especially if you had not ventured very far where you were not expected to need money

I'm sure PL suggested in the programme that people close to Claudia had the answers to the case

Yes and I wonder when a journalist will interview Claudia's friends on camera and give them the opportunity to respond to this comment. It appears to be the elephant in the room in this case.

Don't think they will be rushing to answer questions like that

The police would have given them the opportunity to answer questions ( probably on camera too ) already .
And this would be the reason some arrests were made but , it’s seems to me , they do not have enough info to make any difference .I think they honestly do not know what happened.

What if she popped out and expected to return later the same evening?
