If the witness had seen Claudia and Halliwell previously "asking for change" it was not stated when they were seen. It could have been when he was travelling well before the time or they were not sure of the date.
It was suggested they had crossed paths. I think he drove taxis down near Swindon

I realise we're going round and round in circles with some our theories, however one of these may trigger a hidden memory in someone's brain.

Sometimes its useful to go back to earlier reporting.. Aug 2009.

People that she knew. That's a lot harder than people think. She worked in hospitality, people who knew her too.
You immediately think of family and friends then people who work in the Heworth shops nearby. Taxi drivers(her car was off the road) the guys at the garage. The pubs and restaurants she frequented knew her Acomb, Heworth, Malton, Norton, York the list is endless.

......... Equestrian people, hairdressers, vacation acquaintances, vacation rental staff, owners of restaurants / bars in her resorts, University/College staff, students, families of her (married or not) ex-friends, families of her colleagues or former colleagues, bands that played in the pubs, staff from canteen suppliers, friends of her girlfriends, friends of her father, ...... endless, you said it.

Its a big task but NYP did have numerous national experts to consult

There are more than 6,500 names on the Holmes database which shows the sheer scale of the original investigation and review.
Added to this there are 2,326 Criminal Justice Act (CJA) statements made by 1,215 people, including those made by police officers and police staff during the original enquiry.
Also, 3,488 Officers’ Reports that had been logged and 1,771 vehicles also recorded.

The review team has also:
  • Conducted 25 video recorded witness interviews
  • Conducted 48 video recorded interviews under caution
  • Conducted search warrants at seven business premises and 31 private dwellings (this includes multiple searches of individual premises)
  • Reviewed more than 500 permissive searches around Claudia’s home and route to work – mainly gardens but some premises
  • Forensically examined 64 scenes (39 from original investigation and 25 during the review)
  • Examined 337 items for fingerprint evidence (217 from original investigation and 120 during the review)
  • Obtained 273 fingerprints (135 from original investigation and 138 during the review)
  • Examined 210 items for DNA evidence
  • Completed 95% of 7,514 actions that have been raised during the review (the remaining 5% have been risk-assessed and deemed low-priority)

Numerous national experts have helped to support the review, including:
  • National Interview Advisor
  • National Family Liaison Lead
  • Behavioural Intelligence Analyst
  • Forensic Psychologist
  • Forensic Podiatrist (interpreting the way people walk from CCTV footage)
  • National search advisor
  • Forensic ecologist for potential scene excavation, including use of ground penetrating radar
  • Digital forensics and data recovery consultant
  • Specialist communications data advisor (interpreting telecoms data)
  • Consultant engineer and expert witness specialising in radio navigation and communications systems (examination of sat-navs)
  • Regional Imagery Unit and specialist companies regarding enhancement of CCTV footage
  • Regional forensic resources
  • Specialist police marine, air support and dog units for searching and obtaining imagery

Could the answer be in that 5% deemed low priority ?
Surly they have had time ( 12+ years ) to tick them all off ? Remember the “ no stone unturned “ statement ?

Could ALL of the above be ingested into some AI computer ?

The data in Holmes is input by people. We were told on the first day of computer lesson GIGO garbage in-garbage out. Holmes can decipher who is the most likely candidate but it is only as good as the info provided.
We must learn from the Horizon scandal, my local post office noticed early on that the computer system did not tally with her books. The powers that be didn't believe her although her books were always right. Now they are compensating the post offices concerned, some are no longer with us due to suicide. That was a faulty computer program but you get my drift.

Is Holmes an AI equipment or just a data base ?

I was particularly interested in what the expert in Forensic Podiatrist (interpreting the way people walk from CCTV footage) concluded. The NYP are asking the public for their help in identifying alleyman I feel they could share more more details of the findings by the experts.

I also wondered what Sat navs were examined in 2009. Sat were not in widespread use only 6% of cars and vans had integrated systems, 2.7% had hand-held /plug and go systems, 68% had none

Hi all. I have been lurking here for some time, reading all 15 threads, the medium blogs msm articles, watching docs etc.

Like everyone I like to wander through google street view throughout the years, and found something I thought might be of interest to @Tri-Lambda delta

T-LD, you posted a while back that you were sure the braking Ford focus had a mini football kit hanger in the rear window. Came across a silver 2003 ff with something similar parked on Eboracum Way, September 2008.

think I am right in say that street has come up before.

Google Maps

I've had a look at what you DISCOVERED and added it to this image for comparison. As you can SEE... the vehicle football-kit-car-hanger (if it is one) is RED. Hence me connecting George Pavlou (RED Arsenal kit rear window) of the Voodoo lounge (open till 4am St.Patricks Day) with the CASINO-build-plan & the SCRAPYARD Bros (and the Claudia affair). All from that RED football kit in the rear of the vehicle speeding up Claudia's street.

Did Mike live next door to the nags head. Is that the same person x

In regards to living next door to the Nags head. MURDERERS have a disarming way of putting up MISSING-posters on their vehicles. So when I saw the picture on the lampost near the house beside the NAG's HEAD... I thought I'd make this image known.

Could that red fan kit car hanger be a manchester kit?

Not posted on here for a bit... got some time off next month in June so going to go up to York and have a look at some more sites connected to CL. Hope it’s solved one day...
If cigarette man is the killer, it is just a matter of time until one of his relatives commits a crime and their DNA profile can be used to identify him
