S.C. isn’t the close friend she thought she was. Her version of Claudias private life seems to be contradictory to the evidence. Perhaps not 40, though as the link reveals Claudia does seem to target the unavailable.

Or SC didn't want to reveal Claudia's habits so as not to point someone to her own story with her "sister", which might have been not always nice the whole time. Like JK too, SC could have had some problems with this friendship in the past. What is closer than that? IMO

Here’s an interesting link - something which stood out is SGF commenting on her bike being in the kitchen as “it was a nice day she would be walking to work” would she only use her bike if it was bad weather? He must have know her well to know her routine. Another point is he says she’s conscientious and doesn’t go drinking when at work the next day. We know this not to be true as D.O. Reports she came in looking tired after being out all night with a new boyfriend.

Just reflecting on my previous post D.O reports Claudia has an all-nighter a year down the line from Claudias disappearance. For most it at rouses suspicion and curiosity - why wouldn’t he immediately reveal this crucial piece of evidence? SGF on the other hand says Claudia wouldn’t behave in this way before a shift. Are they both telling the truth? Is only one telling the truth? Do we know of any other examples of Claudia on all-nighters before work? I’m sure the team at NYP should be able to see Claudia phone moving and collaborate D.O. Admission.
If they are both telling the truth the “new boyfriend” must have been exciting for Claudia to break her rule!

It seems to always be the case that when something bad happens to someone, those that knew them always report them as being the nicest, kindest etc etc. In this case however I feel there has been a conscious effort from some involved to not just paint CL in a positive light but to change the reality of the situation that was her life at the time. Like SGF claiming CL wouldn't go drinking the night before a day at work, when SC then says “If she came out on a night when she was on an early shift the following morning she would always be looking at the clock at 11pm and moaning that she was going to be so tired the next day." (link below)
Both are supposed to be good friends of cl, yet one admits she would go out the night before work, the other claims she never would. Strange since both would be in the same pub, one drinking there the other working.....

Whilst it could be said sgf wanted people to think highly of cl, so said she was too conscientious to go out the night before working, in saying this he could also be misleading people who may have thought they had seen cl out and about but then dismiss it as not being her since her close friends have said she wouldn't do this.

Latest Claudia Lawrence clues are ‘hard to believe’

I've never actually seen anyone say they saw cl pedalling to work on her bike. I've read comments around her driving before her breakdown, being given lifts off work colleagues, and walking, but I've not read anywhere anyone saying they saw her on her bike, going to or coming from work. Like it maybe wasn't a normal or regular way for her to travel. Taking sgf comment into account, it does make it sound like she would only use her bike in bad weather, and he would have to have a good knowledge of her routine to be aware of that, which makes me wonder how much a part of her routine was the bike, and who else might have known this information.

Exciting because she wanted him to remain a secret ?
‘wouldn’t behave in this way ‘ is not ‘she did not do it ‘
D.O. Had other friends and colleagues and most probably mentioned her revelation to others in that year surly!?

Why would he mention his revelation to anyone else (DO)? Took him a year to mention it to
The police! Also I wonder when he realised it was significant to the enquiry

BBM - Do you believe DO?
Tricky question - do I believe anyone - no. Do I believe DO -until you can prove otherwise you have to take it on board as part of the evidence, however a big question mark
Is in my mind. That said the police seem to imply that she was two timing a longer standing married man with this new relationship. So they must have supporting evidence that a new relationship existed.

Let’s just say, just for evaluation you rule out DOs revelation. Does it lead you elsewhere?

“Suzy, who works as an administrator, admitted her friend had been in relationships with married men in the past, but insisted she was not a “scarlet woman”.

She said: “Obviously I’m constantly going to defend her reputation because I would like people to know who she really is. She’s a really sweet, lovely woman, and wouldn’t purposefully hurt anybody.”

Bit of a contradiction there -she wouldn’t purposely hurt anybody though chooses to have affairs with married men? She says before Claudia would look at the clock moaning she had to be at work for 6am and was going to be tired - which implies she’s up till at least closing?

Yes there are alot of these contradictions imo which makes me question everything. Funnily enough, probably makes me look closer at certain people than I would otherwise have.

I picked up on the timing, and wonder why everyone was so quick to believe cl was in bed on the thursday night, when there is a history of her being up and out later.....that is of course accepting this is what they thought, which I personally doubt.

Little things but paint a bigger picture when put together.

There’s the elephant in the room - the 4 who are incredibly difficult to reference as there’s a lack of msm articles naming them. I am still of the theory for the brothers to be involved 1 has to be the killer, if you look at the dynamics -two brothers and 1 brother in law -which points to piggy in the middle. Of course then there’s the whole jacket man.

Yes though there’s no meat on the bone, apart from DR and the odd remark from PR they’ve not said anything. SR of the four has been silent as far as I know, AC also unusually quiet. Apart from some poor cctv what do we really know about the four which can be referenced from msm?

I think this constant analysis of the ‘printed’ sayings of friends from 13 years ago is not going to get us anywhere! Now Covid is over they need to get going again !

why woud he not mention it to colleagues? Claudia going missing must have been a hot topic for discussion at the uni? Also, why not mention it to police during his intial interview?

  • #918
Also, how do we know what CL's route was that morning - how do we (or DO) know that his route was different to CL's that morning?

Well thats the thing isn't it? He either forgot about it for a year, or deemed it unimportant enough not to mention to police for a year.
So if he was talking to colleagues about it before this, it casts even more doubt over his honesty/ reliability
Colleague of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence comes forward with fresh lead
