According to the new cell phone signal map, Heworth is in a different area to the Acomb area. If CL was killed in Heworth and moved to Acomb, her phone would ping to connect to a different mast. If CL was killed in Acomb her phone would ping in that area at 10 am. Its just a theory as long as CL stayed with her phone
yes, if the perp or perps were clever, I think they'd have separated Claudia from her phone and left the phone in. a different area before she came to harm, thus making it more difficult to. say where Claudia herself was.
that's more easily said than done, of course, especially. with Claudius fondness for her phone....if you don't want her to become suspicious or noisy.
I can see why sc has put her life on hold...-I don't know whether she was involved but she must be afraid something she has. seen could put her own life at risk, though I admit its a long time now.
as. ive said in a previous post, if id been sc, id definitely have said something to Claudia and the unidentified group.in the pub, if it was only...sorry I cant stay, im so tired.
having said that...which is something I keep saying on this thread....you do reach a cut off point sometimes...I don't think I'm the only one who's been through. the experience of bumping into someone who's from your circle of friends with some seemingly new friend or friends and they start showing off very loudly, making slightly sarcastic comments about you...its often someone you've included in your circle of friends who others are a bit wary of....the showing off seems to be their ways of saying...see I don't need you...ive. got other friends.
claudia was very popular. but it seems she was seen as a bit of. a t w o n k....but as someone said, very protectively, she was ours...maybe she felt she had the chance to have higher status elsewhere...that. sounds very pretentious..I just mean she got fed up with being seen as a bit of an idiot...however popular

There’s a few things to consider - first of all anyone can create a map to fit their narrative. So the map ideally needs to be double checked or at least validated through its origin. If the data is correct - I’m thinking she was killed in Heworth and then on the way to disposal this is when the phone moved perhaps stopped at home or work. If she wasn’t killed at home then there’s probably only a few possibilities within Heworth - the nags has to be a possibility - I remember thinking alleywayman could have been picking up her rucksack whilst she was on the phone with mum and dad at his - he walks there from the front - so at a guess he doesn’t live in Heworth place but close by - otherwise you’d think he would be in a car. Let’s say he did kill Claudia somewhere close - could he have gone back in the morning to check he hadn’t left any evidence?

Are we forgetting the rucksack seen on Walmgate stray. The phone could have been in there. It's within the Tockwith mast range. Retrieved later and switched off.

It lasted, until I got the word "atwonk". A twonk, you mean? Maybe, she befriended other people because of that feeling. Idk. Did she between her new friends have to prove, how valuable she actually was?

according to the map - if its correct - it would rule that out.

I think she was naturally shy, I was out walking a few months ago and met a woman out walking a dog like mine, we engaged in conversation - she was from Malton and knew Claudia from her local (from her late teens - 20's) she said Claudia was very pretty and would stand in the shadows and observe, she felt she was odd. her words.

"The perp or perps were clever," not clever just lucky, though we are in the 13th year, and they could get very unlucky and end up with a new year's celebration they hadn't bargained for!

been looking for confirmation of this - just stumbled upon it - her phone charger was still in her house - if going somewhere overnight why would you leave your phone charger?

I. said if they were clever...I really don't know if they were...if the front liners weren't, then at least there could have been well organised people in the background...oh and definitely lucky, you're right

Food for Thought

Police tell secret lovers of missing chef Claudia: come forward or we will reveal your affair | Crime | The Guardian

Galloway says;

"My preferred hypothesis is that she probably did leave for work but I don't know whether she came to harm the night before.

Detectives piecing together Claudia's life say they are surprised at how relatively "compartmentalised" her lifestyle appears, with her typical week revolving around work, nights at home and two or three nights in her local pub. "There was no Facebook or gym membership or other social elements that other people have," he said.

Yet the most challenging facet of the inquiry was, according to Galloway, the absence of a crime scene or body which made the case "incredibly unusual".

Ten days of helplessness | Crime | The Guardian

Here’s another good link – it explains the sequence of events around entering Claudia’s property. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Suzy lives further away from Claudia’s home than SGF and he’s a close friend of Claudia’s – Suzy concerned asks foreman to check on Claudia – the text then follows – nothing suspicious, I would perhaps do the same.

Another text was sent to her phone after 9pm but no one knows if she saw it. If her family or friends had known she did not turn up for work at 6am on Thursday, they would have immediately raised the alarm. Claudia never missed a day at work. George Forman, a friend and the Nag's Head landlord, said she would only enjoy a night out in her local when she didn't have work the next day. "That's how conscientious she was," he says. Her employers, however, did not appear to report her absence.

That evening, Cooper waited in vain for her friend in the Nag's Head. She called Claudia's phone but it was switched off. She wasn't unduly concerned; Cooper assumed she had fallen asleep and her phone battery had gone flat. She left her friend to what she thought was an early night.

On the Friday, when there was still no answer from Claudia's phone, Cooper began to worry. She phoned Forman in the pub; he popped round to Claudia's house and called through the letterbox but there was no answer. Cooper then phoned Claudia's father because he had keys. He came over and, with Forman, entered her house. Everything was as if she had left it to go to work. "The slippers were there, neatly tucked away," said Forman. "The sofa was empty. Her bike was in the kitchen because it was a nice day, and she was walking into work. There was no sign of any disturbance or any sign that she hadn't had a normal night the night before."

Another interesting point is – they are known as the “Nags 4” however if you look at this article below it explains A.C. was arrested and then S.R., P.R, and D.R so really, it’s the nags 1 & 3. When you refer to them as the nags 4 – you start to automatically wonder how they have acted together. The reality is they probably didn’t. in fact when you look at alleyway man footage – if that is A.C. crossing in front of Alleywayman 7.15pm IMO he didn’t want to be seen, he stood feet together motionless – if they were working together I’m sure there would have been eye contact and he would have just slowed and waited at the corner.

she seems to have been good and impersonating people in a. mocking way...fruit of observation.
we've talked before about how she seemed to have. the social disconnect that you often find with people with learning difficulties...she. didn't, for instance, seem to grasp. the upset her behaviour could cause.

id. have thought the police could have got at least a little information from sc about the new friends. Claudia was with....local accents..if not guesses where from etc

I’m not really with you on this point - Claudia drank a relatively strong alcoholic drink “halves of cider” there were no learning difficulties or “spectrum disorders” when in drink your brain goes to the wall, some giggle, some go to sleep , some can’t engage brain before opening their mouth. Sober - she was a different kettle of fish…..

I find it hard to believe police don’t know the identity of the man crossing in front of alleyway man ! It’s a relatively clear image of him !
They should be able to tell us who he is !
Did he come forward ?
If not why did the police not single him out in the news papers or TV ?

I always believed the crime scene was inside of a lhd car !
The allywayman was stalking her ! And he caught up with her that morning!
No premeditation of murder but one thing led to an other .
Probably strangled ! Then driven away could have turned back for the rucksack and phone ?

If the new celluar map is correct it’s highly unlikely in a car, because it didn’t move till 10am

So the phone moved? Where is that information from?

I see what you mean...but even when she was sober she somehow couldn't realise how her affairs with married men , for example, could create enemies...I don't mean that as a. moral issue, just as a practical fact and I'm not saying this was behind what happened to her....in fact I don't think her sex life had anything to do with it.
on the one hand, we have this person who seems a bit lost in many ways and on the other, this. woman who the police believe could compartmentalise her life so well....its hard to tell from what we know but. she. seemed to enjoy being secretive, beyond the limits of keeping her love interests apart.
I think one of the problems is that we...and even the police...arent always sure what the term friend means, especially with regards to men...im sure some will have said they knew her as a either a casual or not so casual friend when they meant lover and there are the rumours that she was helping some of them out with their activities. as rogues....whatever. that means. or whether there's any truth in it....its just hard to unravel. it all

She was probably picked up by that white car seen driving past the PO that morning imo
