We know she was on call to her parents that evening, but as I said before they were made in quick succession and followed by a text she didn't reply to. Her not replying is unusual so we know that something happened to her at that time, and she was separate from her cards but possibly her bag with whites and phone and straighteners were nearby. Perhaps I'm missing the point and the bag's contents aren't important - perhaps there is some forensic evidence which is concealed in concealing retrieving those things. I just find it difficult to understand that the calls came later but her cards were at home. Had she received a call to meet someone and already had cash to take with her - or something else of value? Most people don't leave the house without some form of money or card. She didn't have Applepay as her phone was not a proper smartphone. She was a texter. Was she deliberately separated from her cards as spending on them would situate where she was in the country geographically? Not taking them suggests she was forced somewhere after either meeting with someone or being taken. It also suggests time elapsed between the end of work and not going out - all unaccounted for. It's as if she's suspended in time.

Was just looking because of your post about thecommentator. It's a 12 minute drive to Acomb. There's also woodland there. Fishponds Wood and Beech Grove. If I lived in Acomb, had a friend in a van/car, CL could be moved (dead or alive, I don't know), and then the person could easily return to the pub as if nothing had happened. If something then went wrong further it might be easier than previously thought to conceal CL's body. Sorry, awful I know, but trying to think like a desperate person who's done something bad. Then they take the rucksack with the phone back to the pub, thinking the signal will be recorded there (which also suggests they also know her or her social milieu well enough to know her normal routines). Then perhaps it gets recorded the next day in Acomb (accidentally? And then they switch the [longlife battery- non smartphone] off in a panic?!).

If several people are involved as the police suspected at one point ( I don't know if they do now, but it's been stated in the past), it would be possible to have someone else move her somewhere and retain the phone within York to potentially imply she was still in York or that the perp was was from/in York - which may not be true. Or maybe it was unthinking. Having forgotten about the phone (very possible if the perp was drunk, as suggested by alleyman's walk in the CCTV footage on the evening of the 18th), the perp retrieves her bag and phone from somewhere hidden having already moved her/her body. They switch it off next day in order to falsely frame when she may have died/been disappeared. If her phone was still on but hidden, it suggests she was possibly separated from her bag with the phone and whites in it. That her cards were at home suggest she either didn't take her wallet to work or took cash only. She might have gone home and then gone out without cards (or even cash?) but she also could, if she had only taken cash, have therefore been abducted on her way home from work in the afternoon, or gone somewhere straight from work.

Why would a killer (if Alleyman is realted to her disappearance) risk going back to retrieve her bag if not to recover her phone, but then why would he exit towards the pub? He wasn't concealing his identity, he may have gone past the pub - to a waiting car? Acomb is miles from work and home. Her phone and/or she will have got there in a car. It was only March so sunset was at 18:17, with dusk probably starting around an hour after her shift finished (was that at 3pm?!) - she had a 1.5 mile walk home, which would have taken her 25-40 mins, depending on how accurate Google Maps is. She could easily have been home by 3:30pm/4pm. There's four hours where we don't know where she was. She wasn't in the pub or at work. And she apparently had nothing but her white, phone and straighteners (?! it's such a bizarre combo). But we do know some things which aren't pure speculation. It would be worth thinking about those I think. I just cna't imagine anyone wanting to kill her. It seems so weird that there's this community and someone has disappeared despite all the apparent needless gossip and jealousies, and then the walls closing so the police aren't told anything. It suggests vice, but she doesn't seem the type - too much of a romantic and a hard-worker. Perhaps she saw something or knew something someone didn't want her to? I can't think of a motive - especially in such a tightly-knit community.

Sorry, internet connection problems caused the re-entries and repetition...

A couple of points
1. When the footage was released - two questions were posed by the team if you remember 1. Who is he and 2.WHAT is he doing?
Secondly the large screen was placed strategically by the team to face who they believed to be in the footage - as “sweat” tactics. Make no mistake NYP know who alleywayman is. Further more the msm link regarding Cartwright - whilst his properties were searched it was on the back of intelligence coming from appeals.
If the police know who Allyman is , I cannot see any reason for them not to tell us or simply say he’s been eliminated from the enquiries!?
Also why can’t people accept like her friends said that she was at home and went to bed early !
The allywayman was clearly desperate to contact her why ?

Also , clearly, there was something very unusual in her rucksack!
I believe the police know what it is but keeping it to themselves … perhaps it’s time they let the public know !?

Maybe alley man had travelled a long way or had limited time to see Claudia so he checked the back door and found it locked. Called her phone only to find she was chatting with her dad or mum

It makes a huge difference. For example if they have evidence to support alleywayman part in Claudias murder. They cannot name him officially until he is proven guilty. You wouldn’t believe anything her friends would tell you - how would they know she went to bed early - unless they were in bed with her.

With respect why is it clear there was something unusual in her rucksack?

Again I believe the police had no reason to distrust her close friends
And the subsequent revelation that she did an all-nighter a day or two before makes it more likely she was tiered and had an early night !

With respect the police don’t go around trusting people, question, and check the evidence. She may have got an earlier night than she planned.

I sent this to Detective Superintendent Wayne Fox, Head of the North Yorkshire Major Investigation Team,

Adam Harland - Cold Case and Cold Case Review Unit Manager ... replied
There is positive evidence of CL being alive and independent after the time of the video you have been looking at. Thank you for your interest in the case.

So does the above mean they have "verified picture evidence" of CLAUDIA closer to the University on the morning on her journey to work??? If so, they should release that evidence, right?

Or they just didnt really understand what I just showed them... NEXT !

So you are saying that Claudia did walk to work that day and this is the last possible sighting of her is that correct?

With respect why then did stop like that in the ‘shadows’ ?
Perhaps he didn't like the person he caught sight of? Perhaps he stopped because, sometimes you just do? It could be for many varied reasons.

Could have been trying to contact Claudia on the phone and just received a message or call back. The police will know this though.
