It seems in the immediate aftermath two other people disappear off the face of the earth - SGF and JK - ooooo I wonder why?? Could it be that both are at the nags on Wednesday evening 18th March 2009 - ones the landlord and the others bar staff who is said to have a better grip on things than the landlord himself.

With respect There is evidence - do you think the police present a case to the cps with blank sheets of paper ? I’d think you may have researched the case through social media, I have and it’s quite obvious that there is detail in the public domain that could bring the police that break through - though you’d need someone willing to stand up in court and given the underlying possibilities - it’s a big ask. But you never know!!

With respect. Insufficient is a spectrum - take a look at the link I posted earlier today detailing the Claudia Lawrance investigation - it’s a thorough investigation - NYP have worked hard to bring those responsible for Claudias murder to justice - look at the detail, the statements, hours upon hours of finding cctv, compiling data, bringing in specialist resources to get a break through. I find it an insult that you deem this hard work as rubbish. One day it will pay off.

I will Always take my hat of for the tremendous effort by NYP to solve this case and I’m sure they will one of these days !
But I think they’ve been barking at the wrong tree for awhile !

Reading your comment, with respect, I find it very odd that you completely dismiss the Police investigation outright, that’s not logical IMHO, really strange and confusing.

It will all definitely come out one day, the burden must be heavy to carry for those with knowledge of what happened to Claudia.

Yes good question!
That person stumbled ? On her personal belongings and had the presence of mind not to touch things so decided to take pictures .
He goes back but they are all gone !
He must have given police through NH people exact location because police went back sat ? Morning but found nothing
Did he or someone else kept them as a trophy?
Did the perpetrator retrieve them that night ?
Re stranger abduction would the ‘new’ mystery boyfriend be classified as a stranger ?
If he was being kept secret by Claudia then yes he would be a stranger to everyone else ?!

I hope that her close friends and the accused will take the fourth coming birthday anniversary and or her disappearance to come out with some kind of statement to clear up on some of the things they are being accused of doing nearly 14 years ago !

Why don’t they all appear on tv on one of those investigative documentaries - maybe by one of the former senior detectives on the case - hook up to a lie detector - if they are all innocent - no worries - once and for all case closed - innocent then NYP can look elsewhere. Bet some channel would pay a lot of money for such appearances! All 4 plus Jk, Sc and SGF!!

I follow this case off and on, but rarely post. I'm not familiar with that area of the UK having only been to Scotland so there is little I can contribute. I did find the statement by the senior investigator to be interesting. "Several" persons know or suspect what happened to her. Not 'a person', but 'several'.

It makes me wonder what he has come across that has led him to multiple persons. The more people who know the harder it is to keep a secret. Makes me think of one case here in the US. Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman in 1999. There wasn't an arrest till 2018, but afterwards it was learned that several persons heard who did it and that there were even photos of the girls before they were murdered. People had known or suspected for years before the arrest. Granted this is small town USA in Oklahoma and not North Yorkshire UK. But I do wonder what an experienced investigator in North Yorkshire has come across to lead him in search of multiple parties.

There are some people I'm surprised don't seem to have been investigated intensely by police, but I have to believe they have very good reasons for not taking investigations further. Just as I have to believe they have very good reasons for pursuing certain lines of investigation to the point they, the police, thought they had enough to present a case that could have ended up under the scrutiny of judge and jury.

Its a poor overview of NYP. its all very well using hindsight. The Halliwell case has been proven N/A due to evidence placing him elsewhere. Any and every case you can look back on and say - what could we have done better to improve our outcomes, A stranger was ruled out because they have strong evidence of those close to her being responsible

Glad the NYP have such an avid supporter, I remain sceptical but would celebrate a solution no matter what it is.

It was stated in news paper reports that journalists were ‘warned off ‘a couple of times in this case
What does this exactly mean ?and I’m guessing these journalists are still following this case and probably reading this ?
We’re they threatened with violence ? Death ? Or simply a court proceeding?
Watch out what you say you know her father was a prosecutor for the police … that sort of thing !
And ofcourse we the public would like to know WHO made these threats?

I would love to know what was said and who said it as I think that information could be very revealing.
By the nature of their jobs I feel journalists have to be pretty thick skinned and resilient, and are likely used to being told to take a walk in various unsavoury ways! So for threats to stand out to them in any particular case I would inagine there was more substance to them than a friendly warning!!
