I believe Claudias friend SC was keeping her distance, with good reason. Claudia had already booked to go to Cyprus, but had not disclosed this to SS in conversation . Claudia asked JK to go on holiday, and was meeting SC to plan a holiday. The holiday with JK was booked a week after Claudias disappearance. SC choose not to speak to JK or Claudia in the nags head prior her disappearance, nor did she recognise the company Claudia had that evening. Sits at the nags head, and does not knock on, when her best friend does not show. However is very concerned by the morning, although Claudia had booked the day off. Her friends fully aware of this. Many friends appear concerned with claudias welfare suddenly, and her walking to work. Although many car problems, this had been the norm for many weeks prior. JK recieved a message ( 12 days straight, no fun for me) although a holiday is booked, JK is not bewildered by this message :( . Imo something was going on, and those close knew exactly what imo. SC was not calling alone to check on Claudia, she was concerned imo. How many years later, and still no one cared enough for Claudia , to do the right thing :0 imo x
If the killer wrote the text, why did he write 12 instead of 10 or 8? Surely he knew that Claudia would be reported missing after a day. Maybe he didn't know about Claudia's meeting with Suzy on the Weds night.

I am confused as having looked at this case in depth, I just see an ordinary hard-working girl enjoying her life.

Cortina Can I respectfully ask why you feel Claudia had “some kind of problems”
whist you didn’t categorically state it was drugs, you used it as a reference point

Thank you for your understanding and support in advance
ello again.
I think alcohol was causing her problems...I don't mean that she was an alcoholic but that it caused her to insult people...as. far. as. I. can tell behind. their backs but while they were still in the room...behaviour which she regretted when she was sober.....she was safe while she was. with her home crowd...but a new person or group might not understand it.
we don't know if this played any part. in what happened to her of course but ii was a bit of a. time bomb

Why would a killer send any text to anyone, I’ve seen it before in married couple murders or where obvious suspicion is going to fall on a close associate - but that’s not what you have here. I think it could be a cry for help or someone trying to distance themselves from the crime perhaps

Maybe she wanted someone to visit her house for some help

I’ve been thinking about alleywayman again.

We see him come from the front of Claudius house to the rear TWICE.
If he lived in Heworth place - why isn’t there footage of him coming from the opposite direction?

In 2009 the clocks went forward on Sunday March 29th - dusk fell on 18th March 2009 @ 18.47pm meaning even though alleywayman stopped only a few feet from white jacket man - its likely he would have been hidden in the shadows of darkness.

Yes he stops before the street light shines on him .And in my opinion he is not local !

I think it looks like he's gone for a wee in the alley & when he comes out n pauses he pulls his pants up more.

I think its going to Scarborough (from Leeds)
Is there a Bus route number showing in the CCTV footage that helps us to identify route

More likely that he left something there on the evening and went to pick it up the next morning-Was it a key to Claudias to allow access by someone else.

I agree-Did she send a text that was deliberately inaccurate hoping that the receiver would think "That's Odd, better go and check on her"?

does anyone know anything about drunken. bezhaviour

im. the last person. to ask because I. just fall asleep after drinking alcohol
but I wonder if her behaviour. after. having. a tipple. was. always the same. or if. she was. able. to tailor it to who she was. with....for. example if her. usual. group. of. friends found hers so called. insulting behaviour. amusing, and she wasn't. sure if new people. would. do....would she be able to control it when with new people

I know I'm going to get a. lot. of. flak for this, but if Claudia was dating a lot. of. married. men...and. I. don't know if she was...then she. was. setting herself up. for problems.
im not. condemning her. ...imo the person who should. really be. criticised is. the married party...and. goodness. knows. we all need a bit. of. excitement sometimes, and you. can have just as many problems with people who are single.
but, as you'll all have realised by. now, I prefer a settled life...havent. got the energy. to deal with. complications

Heh. NGL, from some of her friends’ descriptions it sounds like CL was a bit of a ‘snarky’ drunk - perhaps an indication that she wasn’t entirely happy. MOO, obvs.

I don't think you should get flak for your comment as its something that has been talked about alot both in here and the msm, and does have potential implications for what may have happened to Claudia. I don't think anyone can have an honest discussion about a missing person without acknowledging aspects of their lives which may well be relevant.
I agree with you that if Claudia dated married or attatched men she shouldn't be judged for it but it does introduce a potentially messy situation to her life.

yes. I was just wondering....she maybe made her friends laugh with. this behaviour, so. for all her...did I. really say that attitude later, she was getting positive feerdback...I. don't know if she could have changed. that behaviour if she. was. with new people.

imho I think if there's a link. to her behaviour in this case, it would be more likely to. do with. upsetting people with her rude comments when. drunk than revenge by. a. love. rival, but who knows....if I really had. to come down in favour. of one motive, I. think it would. be her inability to keep her. mouth shut, but about what. I don't know.

I. think. when. sc saw her. in the pub with. a new group of. people, she took an instinctive dislike to. them and or Claudius behaviour....I t hink normally. youd have gone over and said. something. like...sorry I didn't realise how tired I am..I keep. hearing cs sister say where. does she get them from .....

Right I’ve been thinking this over and I’m of the feeling you’re mistaken on the dates which if you are throws a different light on the 12 days text.

So in 2009 these were the school holidays

The Spring Term 2009 starts on 05 January and ends 03 April with half-term from Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February.
If Claudia and Jk planned to go away in the school holidays - it would be 13 days from the evening of the 18th of March or (12 working days ) if she had booked a day off. This could easily be confirmed by her work. The 12 days text could of been just Claudia saying it how it was -no drama, nothing untoward - just a bit of chit chat, nothing more nothing less.

S.c may state she didn’t know who Claudia was with but there’s no guarantee she’s telling the truth

That’s a fair point. Cheltenham Gold Cup - big day for the local Irish community? And with a bookie just across the road the Nag’s would have been a popular pub that day.
