I don't think she went out again after walking home. The NYP microsite suggests that Claudia did not share a lift home with her friend that day

I have difficulty with this too. The friend oculd still have given her a lift. This would have meant a chat, and knowing Claudia's plans for the afternoon/evening - unless, as as been suggested, she was very secretive. I have seen accounts of people turning up at Claudia's house in the afternoon subsequently (after an accidental/non-accidental tip-off she was home?) But most of Claudia's friends would know she'd be at home. If someone passing didn't, and saw her get out of the car and thank the friend,possibly saying when she'd next see them, they might have heard something which enabled them to plan an attack. The friend didn't necessarily have anything to do with it. But it would put Claudia at home more quickly, which, external influences may have wanted, and somehoe helped things to happen by suggestion rather than coercion? Was anyone close to Claudia's friend as well as her boss at work? Could they have texted Claudia's friend to imply Claudia needed help with a lift and put her at home more quickly? Then again, it seems like Claudia was definitely at home in the evening. Eitehr way, being at home earlier meant that she was ready to receive any possibly unexxpected visitors (as described in accounts - I don't know how apocryphal they are). If she spoke to someone in the afternoon on the phone too. that seems possible. Then either a night-time call to lure her out or she walks to work int the morning and is taken away in a car/van?

Well yes though it had to be one of the 4, we know Alistair was on his way there. If it’s the case can’t see it being PR as wasn’t he dating JK at the time which only leaves SR and Robinson.

More and more I’m favouring something happening at her house between 8.30&9 on the 18th and this should be the focus till you can either rule it out altogether or find the missing piece of evidence which tips the balance in favour of a trial - 2023 get in!!

Seems reasonable to think she watched location whilst on the fone to her mum at home.
Who ever the unidentified car belongs to went to see if she wanted to stay at his & get a lift in the morn to work.
She takes her bag exc..
Puts her fone on silent because he might moan if a guy calls or txts hence nobody hears from her & the mobile gets turned off quite late because he'd only just noticed it.
Only a possibility although she would've got picked up on camera opposite or a vehicle passed blocking her

I see what u mean now i think.
Looks like a large type vehicle passing then literally at the back looks asif a guy is scooping someone aside.
My eyes will b better in the morning so i'll look again then.

Is it me or does this resemble the back of a Ford Focus? The rear lights are quite distinctive?
