She could have the 15 hours to go or taken anywhere but her phone couldn't be taken outside of the Acomb mast but she could have gone or be taken as far as anyone wanted to. Phone turned off in Acomb mast area.
Thanks
I always wondered why Police named the case in the beginning as "Operation Cabin"?
Perhaps that those who know police procedures may be able to comment?
Operation names are totally random and are meant to appear neutral and unrelated to the case, apparently. Obviously they didn't account for the extra sensory powers of @MajorLang ;)

Could be re: SC and Jen's intentions about the stare. Pretty sure AC was in some kind of trade, building and the like. I wonder about painting/decorating too. His mac was distinctive from his usual casual workers gear and boots, hence my comments about it and the sighting
Unless that was his posh gear ;)

@moonsafari Where did Claudia live before she moved to Heworth Road?

can I ask? Is AC tall or short? Fat or Thin? Fair or dark? In your blog you mentioned that his son worked in the NH during uni holidays, was this before or after Claudia disappeared? If before, did Claudia know him?

Looking at the book Gone it states that CL lived in Norton, Old Malton and then moved to York in 2005. No idea where she lived between then and moving into HR in 2007.

The whole "Explicit" and "non Explicit" detachments of phones from nearest mast are a learning curve for me.
Explicit being that it is a deliberate action by someone in turning the phone off.
Non explicit being that the phone runs out of battery, is damaged in some way-water etc.
What it suggests though is that Police could see phone was in Acomb area 9 miles radius and hadn't had a non explicit or explicit detachment until 12:10 But what if there is no signal-Is that a non explicit detachment for a period of time-Not a question for you @moonsafari Unless of course you are a mobile communications savvy expert :):)

Hey I'm brainstorming - is it possible to be somewhere where no signal from any network is available so no 999 call possible from a mobile? More possibilities for triangulation if so??

I think she possibly lived in Acomb. That fits with PH saying she used to be a regular at The Acomb.

In regards to PH, he is still running the pub as he was and has been very lucky to keep his license. Whilst he’s a bit of a known dodgy, rough around the edges character, I don’t think he has anything to do with it. I think the woman who potentially caused him to be a suspect was someone who wanted to divert attention away from The Nags..

Yes and who might that be? :)

I'm just wondering, have you contacted the police to pass on your hindsight? I think you have some very valuable information!

Definitely?

‘The police have told me I was arrested because a woman came forward recently saying something that contradicted what I said in a statement taken at the time Claudia went missing.’

'I can't say who it is who came forward, or what was in the statement, but what I can say is that I volunteered to give the police a statement at the time.’

Why wouldn’t he say it was his wife?

I am new to this website, but intrigued by this disappearance and there are plenty of loose ends, however the ONE that stings me, unless I am missing something is:: THE FOOTAGE OF THE CCTV OF DARK MAN. I have examined the video and google mapped the cctv outside the entrance of the old people's flats Lime Crt. Its vision cuts off a good fifteen feet from the back alley. The CCTV CANNOT determine where the DARK Man goes for a minute. Do the cops have evidence inform the back alley? DID THE DARK MAN VISIT A HOUSE AND COLLECT HIS RUCKSACK FROM A RESIDENT UP THE STREET? The other two cctvs , one may not be able to pick out anything from that distance and the other is in the courtyard of Lime court.

Welcome @SmashingPumpkin You are spot on here. The cctv images provided by the police are from the camera that is situated far back in the small car park area and up a high lamppost. We know this for sure because on the footage you can actually see another camera that is above the Limes reception office.
It is true that the camera showing the images is limited in its range and so the dark person goes out of sight at a crucial moment when walking up Heworth Place.
We don't know why Police didn't show more footage perhaps from the other CCTV cameras you mention?
Possibly because they know where the person went and were only trying to get an identity from the public.
It is also possible that the reason they don't want to show the footage is:
It wasn't available-other cameras not working
Or
The Dark person called at a house in Heworth Place to meet or pick something up? There are many who say that Dark person already had a rucksack at the start of the footage but due to it being on the "blind" side of their body, it could only be seen when they came back down Heworth Place.

Are they old people's flats or student accommodation?

Enjoy reading and contributing to this thread, we are happy you are here.

From the article Police 'fed me to the wolves', says York landlord after pub searched in Claudia Lawrence investigation

Mr Harris said his wife went to the police station voluntarily on Wednesday.

He added: “They searched my wife’s car and found a bracelet in it and asked if my wife wore it. She said no, but my girls wear bracelets.”

He also said:" They didn’t question me at all about Claudia’s disappearance."

Unless I am getting the wrong end of the stick, it looks to me like the police took a statement from his wife, compared it to his statement, then arrested him on suspiscion of perverting the course of justice. Seems a bit like a sledgehammer to crack a nut o_O
