Last evening I started again on thread one. I agree with (i think it was @dotr) that perhaps the hair straighteners were used as a murder weapon. IMO if Claudia was planning to use them at work, she may have had a love interest there. If Claudia was planning on going somewhere other than home straight after work (and remember she finished about 2pm), then I cannot see why she would not also take her bank card. I, like @dotr, am wondering whether the Hair Straighteners were the murder weapon. If they were lent to a friend, then I cannot see why that friend has not advised the police. Unless, of course, they have something to hide.
Claudia could / would probably had cash in her backpack, house keys chefs whites and hair straighteners plus mobile and charger .
In fact anything that a young lady would have in a handbag containing God knows what .Diaries ? Perhaps a new Birthday present ?
Remember her birthday was around the end of Feb .

It says above that Cooper appeared in their website listed by email. Can the public access the email list or is it only available to students and staff?
He is no longer listed in the contacts so perhaps he had moved on

We have said on here before that perhaps she was dying another girls hair that night there was an argument and she was strangled by the hair straighteners.
The other female would need some men to dispose of Claudia hence the others[/QUOTE]
I wonder how long her shifts lasted and if she ever used the sports facilities which would presumably be free to her?

Was he working there at the same time as Claudia? What type of role? Management? How much influence would he have? Also, are you/your source sure that this is accurate?
ETA - I think i have found what I was looking for, but a little more background would be helpful

I've got 8 hours in my head. She started at 6 and left the bulding just after 2pm the day before.

I had an observation about the Ford CCTV. Does anyone else think it had a big dent diver side rear? Could just be the contours of the model but looks like it has a big dent. Could have been bought at auction and disposed of soon after.

I looked at the NYP pics taken from the Heworth Road camera and can see what you mean but couldn't tell if it was foliage from the tree.
This poses the question 'Was it planned and if yes, how thoroughly?' There is a big difference between claiming it was a heat of the moment, unintentional, crime of passion and police being able to evidence stalking, planning, disposal etc. In other words - Murder.

Interesting you call it a Fiesta. The police are very clear on their website that it's a Ford Focus 1998-2004 but on a CL site I looked at recently, a mechanic said he would swear it could be a Fiesta.

I'm sure we have discussed it as a fiesta on here? Looking at the NYP microsite it looks like a focus from behind (back lights) but a fiesta side on?

Yes I agree - but would the police get this wrong?

I honestly don't know. I would suspect that they enhanced what they had and came to that conclusion.

i'm not sure if its a dent or whether its some kind of signage on the side, like a taxi?
